Makes a hard job easier
This cleans dirty floors nicely I like the steam boost mode for tough stains. The vacuum part of it works on small things, nothing large. I used this in a high traffic area that is used heavily and it worked well. The scent of the detergant is pleasant and not to overwhelming. I only filled it one time during the entire process. The emptying is a little gross. Dirty water can be conveniently dumped separately but the dirt is wet and gross but in a different section that’s removed separately. Everything is easy to get to and put back together. You use very little detergent which I also appreciate. The self cleaning part takes minutes when docked and it does clean the brush very well. It seems self propelled and is very easy to move around and not heavy at all. Zero attachments but none are necessary.

Life Changing
My house has ALL wood, bamboo and tile floors. I've said over the years that I wanted a maid to come in and just do the floors. A pregnancy injury left me in pain most of the time and floors are really hard for me. I started with a robot vacuume that I love love love. Next I wanted an electric mop. After reading all the reviews, the corded plug in Shark Hydrovac is what I bought. I am reading poor reviews here under this product, but they continually mention the weak battery. My review is for the corded plug in vacuume not a cordless model. My floors have never been cleaner. I used the vacuume over the course of two days and about 10 hours for an initial clean. The bamboo floor is only six years old and sealed. That floor was so easy to clean, although I still cleaned it three times over since it hasn't been cleaned in over six months. The kitchen tile was super easy too, although it doesn't reach the grout, my daughter is young and took on the challenge to clean the grout with a nifty grout brush I found. The hard part to clean is the 30 year old wood floors with areas where the seal is worn off. We bought the house from someone who's dogs had scratched the floors and wore off the finish in high traffic areas. This was the hard part to clean the first time. I did the same as with the bamboo and cleaned it the times over. After it was done, I realized there were areas of built up dirt on the unsealed areas I had not been getting clean. I decided to go back and clean this area by hand with a scrub brush to get it where I wanted. After that the floors have been a snap to keep clean. I've put in about 20 hours with the vacuume so far and have had zero problems. Some reviews say you can't vacuume and mop together. I didn't even try that. I vacuume with the robot first, then mop. I don't want to risk scratching the floor with a gritty mop. It is super easy to clean. The clean tank chines right out with the push of a button. The dirty tank is the same way. I dump it in the sink, rinse it and either use it again or put it on a towel to drain and dry. There is a sponge on the filter that I rinse and squeeze and put on the towel to dry. The beater bar comes out easily. I rinse under the faucet in the kitchen sink and squeeze by grabbing the bar and turning it around with the other hand. Again, I either put it back on the mop to keep cleaning or leave it on its end to dry on the towel. The vacuume without the beater bar and without the dirty tank, has a very short tube between the two that cleans easily with a bottle brush that is not included, but I already own it. All these parts are removable and replaceable with one hand. I find it easy to use, easy to empty the dirty tank and easy to refill the clean tank. The mop has a self clean feature that works pretty well, but I found that it is easy enough to clean it the way I described above and decided that is rather care for it myself and allow the parts to all dry completely. I've had zero issues with mold or a moldy smell. My floors are cleaner than they have been in years and are easy to maintain after the initial clean I have them. Note, I have a corgi dog that sheds all year. The robot vacuume and the Shark mop have changed my life. I don't leave the house covered in fur anymore. Once a week I vacuume and mop, or one other day in between if we are all off work for holidays and tracking more dust and dirt. Everyone in the house is impressed with his easily the floor is kept in a very clean and neat state. Along with the robot vacuume, this mop is the best investment I've made in householt cleaning tools, ever.

Big Disappointment
I purchased this item about 2-3 weeks ago. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment. I have owned 2 Shark steam cleaners that I absolutely loved and still have one of them. I got this one because you could add cleaner to it for odor neutralizing, plus it vacuums at the same time. Immediately upon using the new wet/dry vacuum cleaner, I could tell it was not cleaning as I had expected. I tried going slower, but going that slow would take forever to clean a floor. The roller brush kept leaving patches on ground like it wasn't making good level contact with the floor. I had to keep going over areas just to make sure they were wet, with no dry patches. It seems as if the machine does not have enough weight on the front end of it to allow the roller brush to make a firm contact with the floor. The other issue I noticed was the gap left between the walls/baseboards. This does not get close enough to the wall at all. The vacuum part was ok at picking up smaller items on the ground, but it had to be very small debris or it would get stuck between the roller and casing. You have to use this machine at a snails pace and ignore the 2-3 inch gap next to wall. If you have as many hard floors to clean as I do, it just won't work. My time is valuable. I can use the my Shark Steam and Scrub much faster and it does an awesome job. The ONE thing I did like was the concentrated odor neutralizing cleaner that came with it. The smell is amazing. I purchased a larger bottle separately and I'm glad I did. I plan to use it in a spray bottle and spray it on my floors as I go along with my Shark Steam and Scrub. I am in the process of a return now.

Powerful and versatile, but not a miracle for dried messes
The Shark HydroVac MessMaster has become my go-to for cleaning most household messes. It handles wet spills, crumbs, and general dirt quickly and effectively, making cleanup much faster than a traditional mop or vacuum alone. I appreciate that it’s corded, so I never have to worry about running out of battery mid-clean, and the self-cleaning microfiber brush keeps maintenance simple. One thing to note is that it struggles with dried-on messes. Anything that’s stuck to the floor, like dried food, won’t come up easily. You either have to scrape it off first or be prepared to wait a long time while the brush slowly works at it. For everything else, though, the HydroVac does a great job, leaving floors clean and refreshed. The unit is a bit bulkier than a standard stick vacuum, and the cord can limit reach in larger rooms, but the convenience of handling wet and dry cleaning in one tool outweighs these minor drawbacks. Overall, it’s a versatile, high-performing cleaning solution that’s especially useful for families with kids or pets.

THIS IS NOT THE CORDLESS MODEL
This is the corded version. Not sure why people are reviewing the cordless version on this page. It shuts off when the tank needs to be emptied. Empty the tank and it magically works again. The cleaner it comes with sucks. I don't recommend it. I use a tablespoon of Mr. Clean with few drops of bleach. and it's been great. I can do my entire kitchen, living and dining area with one solution mixture. I have used it on my Berber carpet, and it works very well. I just omit the bleach if I use it on the carpet. It takes less than half the time of sweeping/vacuuming and mopping. I have engineered laminate flooring, and the water dries much quicker than it did when I used a mop. I highly recommend this but I also recommend you read the instructions that come with it. The power cord is pretty long. Long enough for me to NOT have to unplug it and find another outlet to plug it in. The cleaning feature is really easy to use. Empty the discard tank. Put it back. Put the machine on it's base. Turn it on. Let it do it's thing. It will shut itself off. Empty discard tank again and rinse it out really well. I let mine dry for about an hour before putting it back just so I don't get that musky smell that floor cleaners tend to get. This is also very lightweight and self propelling so you don't have to be Hercules to use it. Great quality for the price.

Floor cleaning is now a whiz!!
This is by far, the best for cleaning tool that I have ever had. Have tried multiple devices. The Hydro vac does not leave a mess, cleans very quickly and easily. I also love the self cleaning mode. Very good value for your money. Have recommended to four different friends who also have gotten one and they love theirs as well.

Could be a lot better.
I've owned this for just over 6 months and have used it near daily so I figure its worth sharing my thoughts. Pros: It's convenient (kinda... explained in the cons) If you spill something, this can make quick work of the clean-up. The fact that it sucks up the mess while spraying cleaning solution means there is usually no leftover residue after a few slow passes. It can handle both wet and dry spills pretty efficiently. It also handles light duty daily maintenance cleaning tasks pretty well. It combines the jobs of a broom and a mop which can save time. Cons: The reason I said "kinda" for convenience is because you need to disassemble and clean it very thoroughly after every single use. The "self cleaning" function is absolutely useless so don't even bother using it. If you use it even for the smallest task, and do not completely clean it after use, it will stink up your whole house the next time you use it. It doesn't handle dust bunnies/ pet hair very well. Even small amounts. It tends clump up in the main tube and reduce suction effectiveness. The roller doesn't provide any significant cleaning power. For any small spots of sticky/dried material, you're better off just scrubbing and wiping up with a rag. You'll spend way too much time going over the same area with this otherwise. The front facing LED lights began flickering after the first 2-3 months and then completely stopped working shortly after that. The vacuum will often shut off saying the dirty water tank is full when it is nowhere near the fill line and won't turn back on until you have dumped and rinsed out the tank. Overall, I'd say that for light duty use, this can still be convenient and helpful, but I feel like there are other options out there that might do a much better job.

Honest Review from a pet owner
OK, I’d like to make sure that I use the product at least four or five times before I leave a review. So that is what I did. For reference I have a tiled floor house. With a large dog. I also have long hair so I shed. The first thing that I noticed about this product is that the dirty water tank is extremely difficult to clean. There are so many grooves and edges that my hair gets caught in there, dog food gets caught in there, and no matter how much I rinse and try to get in the grooves and the corners there’s almost always residue left, which then leads to bugs. I got to the point where I spent more time cleaning the dirty water container than actually using the product. The second thing I noticed was it was not properly cleaning the grout or if I have tile that has any sort of grooves it wasn’t getting in the grooves. So that’s a problem because if my dog has an accident and peas on the floor, I would go over it multiple times and there was always still pee there. Now the two things that I found that were positive was that it’s self propelled so once you turn it on, you don’t have to push it to go. You just kind of hold it very gently and it’s sort of like does its own thing. The other thing I liked was the cord Was really long so I could get clear across the room without having to switch to another outlet. Finally, the last thing is it didn’t use a lot of water, so even though the clean water tank is very small. It does go along way. So my final thought on this product is, if you are somebody who does not have pets or sheds. Also, if you have very slick floors. This is pretty good.

Ich hatte mir mehr versprochen
Er hinterlässt viele Streifen. Ich muss Mut einem Lappen nachwischen. Und er schaltet nach einer Raumreinigung ab.
