As others have mentioned is not the Gel insert but has liquid which moves round by the waterbed, and if you me your love the feeling and was standing with alternate moving your feet slightly to get that wonderful waterbed feeling under your feet. Others have commented about its cushioning effect, I find them very comfortable in regards to cushioning the liquid moves around your feet as you walk to cushion them. The have read that the original Mini had a hydraulic oil based suspension system whereupon winning over a bump, system and cushions the blow by absorbing the impact via transferring hydraulic fluid to the back wheels where they would inevitably be needed as battles over the hump. Gel shoe inserts can be nice, this product provides a more dynamic cushioning (a bit like the original mini which are mentioned above) and best of all it will mould itself to your feet. Once one is at the Herts County Show there was a stand selling a similar product a few years ago at around £25-30 apiece, so this product represents great value for money. Additionally, I found that gel inserts are generally a bit too thick to make nice shoes for a bit tight.

What it is: This is not a gel insole. It is a liquid filled insole and as long as you know what you are buying and why you are buying, it is very good. A gel insole is stable and gives soft support and some shock absorbance to the foot and may give a gentle massage effect. A liquid insole is not stable. The liquid moves through the insole as you walk. This provides little or no shock absorbance but does have a noticeable massage effect. It is like standing on a small waterbed in your shoe. Why I bought them: I have bad circulation in my feet and was on the edge of type 2 diabetes. I have seen others go through amputation and I would rather tackle this before it gets to that stage. Diet and exercise have done the trick but these certaily helped. The insole were recommended by a colleague who suffers with plantar fascitis who had a positive experience. What to expect: The insoles come in standard sizes and the interior of each of your shoes is a different shape. The front of the insoles is designed so that you can trim the front to fit your shoes. If the insole fits first time all well and good. Put it in the shoe and make sure it is settled down properly before trimming. If you trim it too much, the insole itself will move when wearing the shoes. The insoles are ideal for lace up shoes but if you have a pair of close fitting shoes - ladies in particular, please note - the insole does take up space. My wife reports that the insoles are not suitable for shoes with a builtup heel. The liquid should move from front to rear as your weight moves over your foot. It cannot do that in heels. Your foot is also pushed into the front of the shoe, see my comment about close fitting shoes. It feels weird: You are effectively standing on two small waterbeds and they are unstable. Even when standing still, if you move your weight at all,the liquid will move. Know this from the start and only use them for short periods at first. Over a period of days you will acclimatise. I found that my posture improved as I had to stand up straight in order to balance on the "waterbeds". It is not just you feet that will benefit. Choose when to use them: There are some shoes for which I do not use the insoles. There is not room in the shoe. I may be able to lace them up but after a short while it becomes uncomfortable. In other softer shoes it is a pleasure and I will often deliberately choose them to walk to the shops. Some fiends have said that they use them in slippers around the home but I find that in carpet slippers the insoles themselves slip around. I use cheap slippers. Problems: I have bought this type of insole from several different suppliers at wildly varying prices. Of the more expensive ones, about 50% sprang a leak within weeks regardless of any guarantee. That is why I now search out and use the cheaper products. They appear to be exactly the same product with different labelling. Over the last three years the cheaper ones have had very few failures. Improvements in quality control? If the insoles do leak it is an unpleasant feeling. You have a wet foot and you have a different support on each foot. In my experience the fluid used does not harm socks or shoes. Wipe out the shoes with tissue and wash the socks and accept that as you are dealing with fluid, there will occasionally be leaks. After my initial troubles with the expensive brands I have not had a leak in the past 12 months.

Been looking for something like this for years. This product is brilliant for diabetic feet and the comfort would probably suit all. They are well made and I expect them to last. Very Happy. One tip would to wear seamless Bamboo Diabetic socks to finish off the comfort experience.

I got these expecting, based on buyers previous feedback, to alleviate tired feet after long hours walking around my office building and up and down stairs. I wish I'd not bothered 😕, I expected some measure of cushioning but as your heel strikes the floor the gel substance moves to the front of the insole under the balls of your feet, when the balls if your feet then come into contact with the floor is the time when the gel moves to cushion your heel. In short they don't cushion your feet in the right place at the right time, also the ridges that are impregnated into the front of the insole are hard and unforgiving and rub the underneath of my toe. I'll stick to the standard dual pad full length orthotic insole in future.

Bought these to put into my work boots. Decided to try something different as the usual comfort/support insoles seem to be doing nothing to ease my aching feet. These are like walking on bags of water. As you walk the water sloshes around in pockets in the insole. At first I was worried that they would burst and leave me with wet feet and soggy socks, but that hasn’t happened yet after two weeks of wear. They don’t really offer any support, but work in a way that they massage the bottom of your feet as you walk. Takes a bit of getting used to. Have I noticed a difference with my aching feet after a long shift at work? I’d say a slight improvement.

I got these for my husband who sadly has a lot of health issues, he lives with chronic pain which is debilitating for him. One of the issues he has in his feet are with the sesmanoid bone, the very last resort would involve fusion of his big toe alongside the orthotics he had specially made through the NHS. He's only in his mid-40s so not a route we want to go down just yet. Out of sheer desperation at seeing him in so much pain walking I ordered several types of insoles and these have been amazing. They are actually more comfortable for him than the orthotics (they do work but these for whatever reason are better for him). This is the second pair I've ordered now, it was a trial and error but knowing this gives him some small relief is worth it. He did say when first using these they felt 'odd' and 'squishy' but he soon got used to it.

these feel really strange at first when walking, but the longer you use them you come to realise how much they help your feet. they are excellent if you are on your feet for long hours or you walk a lot, and they really do help, they fitted straight into my shoes and did not have to trim them. i actually look forward to putting my shoes on knowing my feet will not be as painful, and you should get used to the feel of them. i do recommend trying them. update , don't last long , the gel disappears and your left with flat insoles
