I previously had a Bosch washer dryer that was meant to be a Which Best Buy and cost several hundred more, but this model blows it away. The 1600 spin is incredible. It makes the 1400 spin look like banging laundry against rocks in a river. I was shocked how close to dry things came out from a fresh wash. It's also much quieter than the Bosch. The first few loads I was constantly checking if it was still on as it was so silent. The instruction booklet was useless, but thankfully it isn't too difficult to figure out the settings. - Always do your washing and drying as separate loads. You need to peel the washing off the insides of the machine after the wash so they can tumble dry freely. - The dry only settings are on the left side of the knob. Cotton is the full 4 kg load. Select Auto Dry from the panel on the right for the machine sensors to measure when the load is finished. - There is no dedicated machine cleaning setting. Select Cotton at 90c for a maintenance wash. I was worried the 4kg dryer would be too small, but with the 1600 spin doing a lot of the work in the wash cycle, it dried 3 full size towels, a hand towel, and 3 kitchen towels in about an hour. And I mean properly dry, as in ready for the cupboard. Not the hot, steamy dampness you so often get with dryers these days. If you have kids you will probably want a larger capacity model. The only other niggle is that it comes with a 2 year warranty. Most of the other major players offer 5 years. I called AEG to ask about an extended warranty. They put me through to Domestic & General, who they've partnered with for an 'appliance care' plan and was quoted £6.42 a month. I don't see the point starting it now but it's nice to have it as an option in future.

Nice machine and fits perfectly under my work surface. I did not want it to protrude. If I was the manufacturer I would make sure that customers who spend well over £600 pounds buying an AEG washer dryer were able to read a very easy explanation of how to work the darn thing. I had to refer to Google and they were very easy to understand. The machine has a very quiet operation.

Honestly, I don't know, what to say because it's been only few weeks, no issues so far though. The dryer does a job in 1.5 hrs but you have to spin on 1600 prior in washing to achieve it in this time frame. Delicates for silk, and wool as well are those I use, I don't use short 20 mins as my son's shirts require proper long washing- 1.55 on synthetics program. Dryer on the left, washing on the right. Dryer is very small so half of a load only, which is fine as silk and wool is not suitable for dryer. Would recommend to buy a dryer separately if you are in fashion woman and do shows only in cotton or synthetics.

A good washing machine with a 20 min quick program. I still haven’t managed to get the dryer to work but I will re-read the instructions.
