These start acting up when the included AAA batteries get low, but once new ones are installed, they’re fine. I bought the arena with bots for my grandsons 4th birthday, he loves playing battlebots, and re-enacting battles he’s seen on tv. The package says 8+ but there’s no reason a 4+ couldn’t enjoy them. The IR controllers have channels 1-4, but these can be finicky, you often have to “sync” them with your bot away from the other bots and controllers, as they do get confused. Once synced, they work. They are IR, so you have to keep the controller above the arena, or it may drop commands. Overall, these are a blast to play with.

My son loves these. He kept them in his bag and took them to robotics. Great and easy way to play and pass the time.

This was a Christmas gift for our boys, 6 and 10. They love it. The bots are well made and they love how the pieces fly off. The biggest down side is the remotes. The tank seems to lose connection and the range on the remotes are not very good. They sometimes need to be less than a foot away to work. The bots will also accidentally connect to the same remote when the kids are trying to switch bots. The arena is great, but I'm afraid the grid connectors will break if we try to repeatedly take it apart. It's not the easiest to move around when the arena is all assembled, but it's not a huge deal to us. If the remotes could be improved this would be an amazing toy.

Require a lot of batteries. No assembly other than batteries. Good sized toy. If hair gets in Biteforce’s spinner, it will stop working. A little expensive, but they are great little toys. Better quality than the hypershock & rusty set we also purchased. The design is great, and they even have panels and pieces that fall off (purposefully, for a realistic effect) when you battle. The only other thing is that Blacksmith sometimes doesn’t obey the controller to a full extent. Most of the time, however, that is fixed with new batteries.

After just 1 round, noticed the grey one seems to have connection issues. The white one turning also has issues. Sadly this does not last only after a few days. So would not recommend for this high price.

These little things are made quite well and function well. Kids are loving them.

I got these for my bf for Christmas and he loved them. I'm just giving it 3 stars because I had it in my cart to monitor it for a few months cause I was hoping there would be a deal on black Friday however instead of getting cheaper, they increased the price over $15 before black Friday and then didn't even give a deal. I still wanted them because I knew my bf would love them so I still bought them and they are good quality but it's a little shady so
