I needed these for my Halloween costume. They are thin knee highs on the slippery side. I think if I were wearing them for regular use, I would feel like I slipped around in my shoes too much and would opt for a thicker cotton material but for a Halloween party these were perfectly fine.

These are very good quality. They are heavier and more opaque than a "nylon" stocking, which I like very much. They wash beautifully and have not developed "pills". I do not put them in the dryer. They don't seem to snag at all. The elastic band is a little wider and more comfortable than other stockings I have used.

Could not tell from the listing, but expected that at that price there would be more than two pairs. Stockings are thigh high, semi opaque, and comfortable. I ordered the white ones.
