The unit has a pretty straightforward interface and easy for anyone to set up. Easy to read display with many options to customize on the phone based app. Accuracy appears to be fairly sensitive, at least in terms of tracking change and proving historical records. I like it and glad I bought it, I didn’t know how bad indoor air quality got while I slept. Helps me make adjustments.

I recently bought the BREATHE Airmonitor Plus, and I have to say, it has been a game-changer for our home! This little device is packed with features, and it’s been eye-opening to see what kind of air we’ve been breathing. First off, the setup was a breeze. I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but the instructions were clear, and I had it up and running in no time. The display is easy to read and understand, even for someone like me who doesn’t usually deal with technical stuff. The BREATHE Airmonitor Plus measures everything you could possibly want to know about your air quality – PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10, CO2, TVOC, Formaldehyde, Temperature, and Humidity. I had no idea how much stuff could be floating around in the air! One of the most surprising things was how high the CO2 levels were in our bedroom at night. We’ve since started leaving the door slightly open to let more air circulate, and we’ve both been sleeping much better. It’s also been really helpful to see the temperature and humidity levels – turns out our house was way too dry, which was probably why we were waking up with sore throats. The build quality of the monitor is great too. It feels sturdy, and the sleek design fits right in with our home decor. It’s portable, so we’ve been moving it around to different rooms to get a complete picture of our indoor air quality. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It’s given us peace of mind and has definitely made us more conscious about the air we’re breathing. If you’re on the fence about getting an air quality monitor, I highly recommend the BREATHE Airmonitor Plus. It’s worth every penny!

This is a very useful device for my purposes— I have a small office area that I work in with poor ventilation and I was curious how bad the air quality was. I was very surprised to find that my CO2 levels were at a very concerning 4,500— they are supposed to be around 400. The monitor immediately identified it as unhealthy and that prompted me to immediately open my windows and cut my fans on to circulate air. As soon as I did that, the numbers began to rapidly decrease until they finally got back down to 405 or so (Good/Healthy). Problem is, as soon as I close them and begin to hang around, they creep right back up pretty rapidly— but at least the monitor shows this is the case very clearly for me. I know these readings are legit because the CO2 numbers go down immediately after I open windows or get fresh air in— and further, when I am in the room (like overnight) they increase substantially and progressively— but during the day while I am out of the office all day and return, it is still in the low 400’s. So it’s definitely me increasing the CO2 levels and that proves to me it’s not just some random made up measurements. The other particulates are very low here probably due to me having a high quality HEPA filter always running, so that doesn’t surprise me but lines up with what I’d expect to be accurate. But when I open the windows and my neighbor down the road is burning some debris or something or someone has a fire nearby or there’s pollen etc- those particulates immediately shoot up as soon as I let the outside in. So I’m convinced it’s a legit product and measurements are real based on those evidences. That is all useful info that I can apply to help with my health. Everything is easy on the unit, but the one difficulty I had (like so many others) was getting the darn unit to connect to the app and wifi. I tried sooo many times— and I’m a network engineer, so I know what I’m doing. Here is a tip: the only way I was finally able to get it to connect was I had to unplug it and completely drain the battery dead, then hold the power button for 10 seconds as I plugged it back in and it came back on (to set it into pairing mode)— the time I did that it worked immediately and perfectly. Hope that helps someone with this same problem. Shouldn’t be that way but I think that’s the fix. The only other issue I have with this product is the display is freakin BRIGHT- you don’t want this thing in your bedroom while you’re sleeping, trust me. You can dim the brightness using the app (once you can finally get it to connect and pair, otherwise you’re doomed)… but I’d rather use the proximity sensor to cut the screen off when I’m away or not moving/near— that’s a clearly advertised feature. Unfortunately, this feature does not seem to work. It’s set in the app to cut the display off when I’m not near, but it never does. Have adjusted time limits, cut it on and see… cut it off and see… tried it on AC power and on battery, restarted everything— nothing works so far. Very disappointed in that because I have to put it in my drawer at night or cut it off so my room is not like a midsummer day; which is a bummer since it’s supposed to be able to cut the display off via the proximity sensor. Best I can do is crank the brightness level way down, but then I can hardly see it during the day- so please fix that bug. Other than that, it seems to be accurate as far as I can tell and the temp and humidity sensors are within a few percent/degrees of my 2 other meters so— truth is I’m not sure which, if any of them are accurate, but they’re all “close enough” for my purposes. I’m not running a science lab or anything where I need .00001 precision there. Anyhow. Unit is cool, battery life is very short- only a few hours- but I don’t really use it off the AC anyhow, so no biggie for me. Would like all the features to work a bit better and the app fleshed out a little more (widen the alarm thresholds, they’re very limited… and make the active screen on the app match what’s on the unit, or save the last one you had it on- I hate having to select CO2 every single time I go to view— I am never really interested in PPM or VOC levels but it always starts on the same screen no matter what you’ve set it to on the unit or in the app last. Super easy to do a “default initial screen”… but it works for what most people are interested in. I could recommend it as a useful tool if your air quality is in question and you want to be able to have a way to monitor and get quantitative data to be able to act on.

I really like the air monitor. I’m hoping they improve the app though. Right now, I get many notifications whenever the PM or CO2 limit is reached whether that’s because the levels are increasing or decreasing. It'd be nice to also add the AQI to see how the air inside compares to outdoor air quality. It needs to stay plugged in 24/7 if you want continuous readings all day. Otherwise the battery life was not very long. Maybe a few hours. I like the display. If you have the screen sleep on, you have to walk up to it and wave at it to wake up the screen and then it’ll go back to sleep after a few minutes. You can also leave the screen on 24/7 and change the brightness levels on the app.

Used it for a few days and so far it seems pretty accurate. My room was getting up to 1000 levels for the CO2 at night with the window and door closed. With the window open, I was still getting around 700-800 levels of CO2. Then after installing and using an exhaust window fan, my CO2 levels dropped down to the 500s and 600s. All my other readings are good because I have an air purifier in the room. I like how little the device is, so I just place it next to me at the computer desk. The only thing I don't like about it is the app. Whenever my PM levels go up a bit, it keeps ringing an alarm even if I have the alarm on mute.

CAUTION the readings can read way too low. Safety issue. I am testing with 4 CO2 monitors running at the same time in the same spot in my house, all NDIR sensors. My testing has 2 of these Breathe Air Monitors, 1 other similar Air Monitor, and 1 Air Monitor I bought in 2012. The Breathe units re-calibrate automatically at least once every 2 days. (Maybe once every 24 hours) My house runs around 850 ppm CO2. This is what all 4 monitors read when I manually calibrate all 4 units. So, what's the problem? Well, 3 of the units automatically re-calibrate themselves at least once every 2 days. (Maybe once every 24 hours) After they recalibrate in my house the 850 ppm CO2 readout drops to 450 ppm CO2. The house air is still in the 850 ppm CO2 range, but 3 of the units say everything is OK at 450 ppm CO2. (At this time, my old unit, which does NOT automatically recalibrate, is still reading 850 ppm CO2) This is a Safety Issue, you think the air is fine when it is still at a high level. i.e. you are reading 450 ppm CO2 when the air is still 850 ppm CO2. I asked support if there is some way to turn OFF the automatic recalibration. Their answer was NO. So my only option to get good readings is to take the units outside every day: wait 5 minutes, push the button 3 times quickly and then hear the beep. This means they are Manually recalibrating. Now the readings should be within a reasonable range for the next 23 hours. p.s. When I say all 4 units read 850 ppm CO2, they are all in the 800 range (800 to 900). They never exactly read the same. This is OK, because the accuracy is +/- 50ppm + 5%. Here is what support says: What you’re seeing is the automatic baseline calibration (ABC) that most NDIR CO₂ sensors use. The monitor periodically assumes that the lowest CO₂ level it sees over time represents fresh air (~400–500 ppm). If the device never experiences true outdoor air, it can reset its baseline too low and pull readings down into the 500s after recalibration.

Easy to set up. Lots of data available at a glace, and 30 days of historic data available on the app at no monthly charge. But maybe the best part is Breath Tech's great customer service. They are quick to answer customer service e-mails, and when I had a problem with the first one, they quickly shipped another one to me (thank you Chris!)!

Honest feedback both pros and cons: I like that the device is small in size with a sleek design and has many different sensors! I also like that the screen goes into energy savings mode which turns off the screen when motion in proximity is not detected. This is a really nice feature to save energy and also the screen should last longer and not get burnt out meaning your investment will last longer! Its small size and detachable USB makes it easily portable. I do not think it is meant to be a portable unit as the battery life is only 4 hours. I did test this and without WIFI the battery lasted me 3 hours and 55 minutes. It would be really cool it the device had More battery to be more portable and versatile. Then for example You could go in a shed with no outlet to maybe do some work like carpentry and monitor air quality while working. You can still do this but only get 4 hours max with a fully charged device. I wish the device had bluetooth…. I do not have wifi and many people do not have wifi like cabins and RV’s and campers etc. If the device had bluetooth connectivity i would be able to use the app but without the app the device is more limited in function and acts as a stand alone unit at a glance (this is probably not an issue for most but it is for me). It would also be nice if the device had AQI to factor all metrics into one overall score and let you know the quality of your air. Each measurable is color coded and often i am in the green except for like 1 criteria. Not having AQI is not a deal breaker as i really just wanted it to be able to view various levels and am able to do so manually which does not bother me at all. I also wish the manual had more info suck as types of sensors used and their accuracy tolerances. This is something i thing should definitely be communicated in a manual. In addition having some more detail in the manual about the various metrics and what they mean and how they are measured would be nice. Including some detail about what these metrics mean and safety levels would also be nice so that you do not have to google for example what TVOCs are and what levels are considered harmful. I am unhappy because this device does not match readings on my other air quality monitor from a different brand which cost the same amount. Now that does not necessarily mean that that this device is inaccurate. However 1 of the 2 devices if not both are inaccurate and it is frustrating not knowing which device is reading correctly. One device has 2.0+ reading of TVOC which is harmful and the Breathe shows .2 as for the HCHO my other device shows .2 and breathe shows 0. I would have to buy more devices to compare and i am not rich so that is not something I can afford. I am hoping the accuracy can somehow be tested without too much hassle. The customer service is good as the Breathe team does respond to emails typically within 3 days. I am still communicating with their customer service regarding the accuracy of this device. Overall I am satisfied with the device! I would be really really satisfied if i can confirm the accuracy which would earn my trust and confidence in the brand. If Breathe keeps its small size and takes some of these suggestions to make a “version 2”. I would definitely buy it!!!

Works well and is portable. I can move it around from room to room. My wife suffers from a lung infection. I wanted to make sure the air was excellent. A dust remover helped.

Got it the other day, So far seems pretty good we painted the other day so I know the TVOC would be a little higher than normal and it’s showing that so seems to be working good. Happy with my purchase

Good data on opportunity to improve ventilation in my bedroom. I didn’t realize how stuffy the home was getting until I could see that’s 24 hr change in CO2. Wish it would plot temperature and humidity trends over 30 days though.

I'm extremely disappointed with this product. It never functioned correctly, and the battery life is abysmal, lasting only 30 minutes. The only feature that seems to work is the CO2 reading. Buy Airthings 2960 View Plus best air monitor on the market.
