A proven 21-day diet and lifestyle plan to help women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) take back control of their health and resolve their symptoms from a certified health coach and founder of the large PCOS Diva online community. PCOS is one of the most common hormonal disorders, and the most common cause of female infertility, affecting roughly five million American women. Because it’s symptoms are widespread—including stubborn weight gain, acne, mood swings, abnormal hair loss or growth, and irregular menstrual cycles—women suffering from PCOS are often misdiagnosed and treated with "Band-Aid" pharmaceuticals with uncomfortable side effects that only mask PCOS’s root causes. While there is no cure for PCOS, women can learn to control their symptoms naturally. In this welcome guide, Amy Medling shows how to combine an anti-inflammatory and hormone-balancing diet, daily movement, and stress-reducing self-care to successfully treat their PCOS. Grounded in the latest medical research and filled with the knowledge she’s acquired dealing with PCOS herself and working with thousands of women, Healing PCOS offers women small, manageable steps that help alleviate their symptoms and control the inflammation, hormonal imbalance, and insulin resistance that underlie the condition. Amy’s revolutionary program consists of: A 21-day anti-inflammatory, hormone-balancing and gluten-free meal plan, including meal prep and plan-ahead tips to make eating this way simple and fast 85 delicious recipes—half fan favorites and half new dishes Daily self-care exercises, including meditation and journaling prompts Amy has helped tens of thousands of women with PCOS take back control of their health and their lives through lasting, healing, and sustainable lifestyle change. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have struggled with PCOS, her revolutionary program can now work for you. Review: You can't help others if you don't help yourself, first. - Full disclosure: I have followed the website and discussion boards of the "PCOS Diva" for many years, and have done other programs of hers, but none with as much success and vigor as I've used this book, and I'm not one to give compliments and gratitude where none are due. Amy has written a book that anyone struggling with PCOS can find help in. It is well organized with a great index, which I've used extensively as I go back to find specific information. Her writing is clear, and her encouraging tone shines in every word. There is so much information contained within these pages--everything from supplements to help with inflammation to recipes, to what labs to ask your endo or gyn or family physician for. Amy lays out a clear, step-building 21-day plan to positively impact your life if you're struggling with PCOS symptoms. There is encouragement and guidance for beyond the 21 days, because learning to thrive with PCOS is a lifelong endeavor. If you follow her guidance, really work to change your mindset, you will notice amazing changes in those 21 days, and those changes will spur you to want to change your life forever. While I don't know if I lost weight, per se, (this is NOT a weight-loss book; weight might come off as you crowd out the processed foods with fresh whole foods, and add movement to your life), I do know that my physical and mental well-being have had drastic changes. My bloating is gone (hello again, wedding rings!), my sleep is better, my stress getting easier to manage. Invest in yourself, follow this plan for 21 days and more, and you won't regret it. Review: As well as being a practical PCOS resource, it is a wonderfully hopeful and encouraging book - I’m really excited to share Amy’s wonderful book as a PCOS resource for my community of anxious women. As she explains, anxiety can be a common symptom of PCOS. Amy describes how this can be due to insulin resistance, low blood sugar, low progesterone, estrogen dominance, thyroid issues, overall inflammation and also high cortisol. The sections on the difficulties of getting a diagnosis, testing and medications are invaluable. And the section describing the different types of inositol when it comes to PCOS is excellent. She writes that research suggests that women with PCOS may not be able to efficiently convert other inositols to D-chiro-inositol (DCI). I love these gems she shares: how it’s so important to begin your healing journey by establishing your PCOS Diva mindset and practicing mindfulness; that the best movement for women with PCOS is whatever you enjoy; that the best way to overcome gym anxiety is to think like a PCOS Diva i.e. don’t wait until you have lost weight and then go; the importance of the vagus nerve and improving vagal tone; and so much more. The recipes are wonderful and a 21-day plan makes it do-able for everyone. As well as being a fabulous practical PCOS resource, it is a wonderfully hopeful and encouraging book and you can feel Amy's warm support with you throughout the book. I really love the opening pages where Amy says: "I deserve to be a PCOS Diva. I need to be a PCOS Diva". Trudy Scott, Nutritionist, Food Mood Expert and author “The Antianxiety Food Solution”

Healing from the inside out!
I am excited for everyone to read Healing PCOS and learn about reclaiming your life with PCOS. I wish I had a book like this when I was first diagnosed at the age of 16 but I am happy others will have access to this wealth of knowledge and proven results not just by Amy but by all of us, the thousands of women she has helped. I discovered Amy Medling through her PCOS Diva website and was fascinated by her passion for helping other women with PCOS. When I started learning about PCOS and taking control of my life, I was completely broken and had given up hope of one-day conceiving. Amy’s gentle and self-care focused approach it’s completely different from any medical opinion I was ever given. Amy focuses on your body, mind, and soul and healing from within as well as making peace with your body and nourishing it instead of fighting it. I am currently 5.5 months pregnant with my second child and I honestly believe that I was able to conceive without any medical intervention thanks to Amy’s PCOS Diva. I want to share this wonderful book with many others who are suffering from PCOS symptoms and I hope you will buy it! Thank you, Amy, for writing Healing PCOS, an amazing gift you have given us!

One of the best parts of the book is how Amy focuses on ...
This book is a dream come true for anyone who has PCOS. It’s full of valuable resources that can be life changing, if applied. I know, as my daughter has PCOS and she has followed Amy’s PCOS Diva lifestyle and it changed her life. Amy and other Diva’s share their stories throughout this book and it’s so relatable. One of the best parts of the book is how Amy focuses on Mastering your Mindset first before getting into food, movement, etc. It’s a choice to become a PCOS Diva. This book lays out a 21-day plan for reclaiming your health and life. It tells you step-by-step what to do and is full of delicious recipes. This is the master plan for reclaiming your power, energy, joy and happiness by nourishing your body with love. This is a beautiful book written by a beautiful woman that is sharing her life journey with us. Thank you PCOS Diva for sharing your wisdom with the world.

Good info, but leaves much to be desired as a 21 day guide
While the information is really good, the meal plans are very unrealistic. Each recipe requires like 20 ingredients and barely any of them overlap with stuff you need for other meals. I had mapped out breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two days and had a shopping list that filled an entire page and I had 90% of the herbs in my fridge and spice rack already. I was going to follow it exactly, but it just excessively complicated. I will probably just do some of the dinners and stick with more basic breakfasts and lunches. The info is pretty good. I do like the practical self care guides though. I also do not care for the product placement in this book. It makes it harder for me to know precisely what to buy from the vitamin store since she tries very hard to sell website products throughout the book. 8 steps to reverse your pcos gives a more practical guide to healing vitamins.

"Progress, not Perfection"
I have been following Amy's work for a few years now, so to say that I was excited when I found out she was being published is an understatement. This book is an excellent compilation of all her best guidance with a few new nuggets of wisdom for us veterans. Not only does Amy give you the tools you need to control your PCOS symptoms, but she reminds you why you're worth the effort. If you are struggling with your PCOS symptoms, this book is an excellent start not only to give you real-world tips and tricks, but also to give you the motivation you need to use them. Managing any chronic condition is hard work, but Amy's words will put you at ease and show you that you can thrive with this condition. I love that the PCOS Diva motto is "progress, not perfection" because truly, we're all just works in progress. Thanks, Amy, for spreading your healing words!

I was feeling 95% better. Brain fog was gone
I don’t know where to begin to say thank you to Amy. I was feeling so lost and confused on how to handle my PCOS. After reading the first couple of chapters I was feeling confident this was my new lifestyle and this book was going to help me balance my life out. After a week of putting maybe 75% effort in, I was feeling 95% better. Brain fog was gone, skin was clearing up and my mood was so much better. Amy writes in such a calm peaceful manner and really encourages you to love on yourself, which as a full time working mom it’s hard to do. I highly recommend amy’s Book if you are in need of some guidance and a great read!

Makes Perfect the Enemy of the Good
If you have a lot of time and money or need super radical change, this might be a good book. If you don’t have those things and just need a few tweaks, I would skip it. I have no doubt that her plan works if one can commit to it, but I found her recommendations to be utterly overwhelming, not to mention expensive. Although Medling is clear that her plan is the ideal and urges readers to adjust as needed, she doesn’t give any guidance on how to do that. If you can’t do it all, where do you start? Which changes give you the most bang for your buck/time, and how do you know which changes you in particular need to make? She has some good ideas, like valuing yourself enough to prioritize your health, but I have found more relatable and practical books that have worked better for me.

An essential read
I initially bought the Kindle edition so I would have this book instantly. From the first page to the last I loved it all, so much so I have also bought the paper back edition too. Its written in a supportive way and really explains why certain foods should be avoided and which foods heal. As someone that has done every diet going this book has gone a long way in really educating me about why I feel rubbish and how to sort it out. Its more than just diet and exercise advice though, it's about the whole way you live your life. I cannot recommend this book enough - whether you've just been diagnosed with PCOS or you've known about it forever like me.

Pcos Bibel

Very Inspiring and Informative book!
Amy Medling has written a beautiful book that not only outlines a 21 day plan to feeling good and turning PCOS symptoms around, but she also gives ideas and suggestions for living a lifestyle that will sustain this. I can attest that living a lifestyle with "food as medicine" can make a huge difference in helping to tame PCOS symptoms, shedding weight and increasing a positive outlook on life. I have been following Amy's PCOS Diva principles from her amazing website, pcosdiva.com, for the past 4 years and I have never felt better. Amy is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of PCOS and has been a huge resource for myself and so many others who have struggled with this syndrome. There is a way out of the despair and I would highly recommend "Healing PCOS." I found the book inspiring, (love all the testimonial success stories) and informative. Love the recipes in the book! One of my family's favorite is the White Chicken Chili and this is requested often. There is no depriving oneself of delicious foods with Amy's plan. Let Amy guide you on a journey to loving yourself enough to know you are worth every step it takes to feeling amazing with PCOS! Nicole M.

This book gave me hope
Finished this book today, so now I'm a PCOS Diva and I feel healthier than before, I feel good and I feel armed with knowledge to fight and heal my pcos. I feel positive, and empowered for the first time to make some more informed choices for my health. I felt that there was soooo much information in this book. I was using it like a bible while doing the 21 day program within it, to flip through and read up again on supplements and many different things. It felt like this was the routine I needed in my life right now, especially during covid and isolation so that has really helped me so much. I did feel a bit like there were a lot of things and steps to keep up with so I probably would like to go over and do it again to keep myself on track and pick things up more easily...I didnt use the recipes except one but followed the food reccomendations, shopping for pcos friendly foods, I cut gluten and dairy as well as bought supplements and teas and did the pcos diva essential oils short course and bought some oils, I also did dry body brushing. Because I started buying these things while going through the book and program I guess they would be more effective if I was to do it over again as I'd get more time to use them. I also incorporated the yoga, the walking and meditation but some days I didn't get all the diva do and daily tasks done with work etc so would love to go back again and do those :) After reading this book: Mentally: I feel strong Positive Empowered Educated Happy Self loved Enlightened Physically: improved hirsutism I lost 2kg Lost cms from my waist More energy Brighter eyes Nicer skin More flexible
