you're basically buying the refills and getting a free pen. if you haven't tried these yet, just do it. they are fantastic pens. the ink is great quality and lasts a long time. the color is vibrant. the nib is smooth and is never a hard starter.

This is SO GOOD!! I've been looking to try out fountain pens for quite some time now, and I finally needed a few bucks to get me up to free Delivery and bought it after having this on my list for at least two years. My only regret is not getting it sooner! I've always found the black and blue pens to be so boring, so having a green pen has been so delightful! I'm realizing that this pen is too good for my dollar store spiral notebooks, so ill have to find some nicer paper to write on so it doesn't bleed through, but I'm certainly not complaining about quality! This has brought back the joy of writing for me. I thought I would mind the plastic look, but the pen is just so incredible to write with that I do not care at all. And seven dollars??? That's basically a pilot g2. I might have to see if they sell plungers and refillable cartridges for this to experiment with a few colors but WOW. Thanks thepenaddict for

Platinum is a long time Japanese pen maker and this is a simple but flexible pen. You can use the included cartridges or “eye dropper” the body for greater ink capacity or to use different colors. One can find these pens with medium, fine, or extra fine nibs. A quality instrument with great value for its cost.

Was hopeful but sorry this pen is not a good option. The cartridge loads ok. interesting that is has a small ball bearing, you can shake it maybe to keep the ink stirred. Nice. But right away the flow is not even compared to my Pilot fountain pen. You can feel that it does not slide well on the page. Let it sit for about an hour, now it is not working well at all. I'll continue to play with it, but after seeing someone using one of these online I had hoped for a better experience. I may update my review after changing the cartridge. But for now this stands.

really great entry fountain pen. the ink is super vibrant and it's great that it comes with extra ink cartridges. i will say, be careful when traveling with it, as it ended up cracking while in my pencil case. doesn't affect its use, but something to watch out for.
