I was told by many people that I didn't need to spend money on a changing station because I would just change my baby wherever. I am glad I didn't listen because we do probably 95% of my baby's diaper changes are on this changing pad. It's so easy to clean, the strap in feature is nice so my baby doesn't roll out in the two seconds it takes me to grab his wipes, and now the he is old enough, the mobile attachment has been super helpful in helping him lock-in to something and not roll around too much. Initially, in the newborn stage, it was a little cold for the baby. But, we would throw down a swaddle on it and it was just fine. After that stage, our baby didn't really mind the temperature. Looks great, super convience, and overall a great product!

This changing pad is very convenient for everyday diaper changes. The contoured design feels supportive, and the cushioned surface is comfortable without being too bulky. My favorite feature is the wipe-clean material—messy diaper changes are much easier to deal with. It also looks clean and modern in the nursery. Great quality and very practical!

really like this changing pad! It’s comfortable, sturdy, and I especially love that the surface can be wiped clean instead of needing covers that constantly have to be washed. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original pieces on the mobile, but it was very easy to customize. I switched them out for felt safari animals to match our nursery, and now I love how it looks. Functional and easy to make your own!

Out of all the baby gear we use, the changing pad is one of the few items we use every day, numerous times a day, and so it was important to us to get one that could handle a lot of use. I have absolutely no regrets about paying a little extra for the Skip Hop changing pad and have been using it pretty hard since my son was born eight months ago. Its material is very durable and so easy to clean and disinfect, even after the worst blowouts. It's a firm changing pad, so I have to be gentle laying my baby down on it, but it is solid enough to weather all the kicking and thrashing during diaper changes. The only real issue I noted with this changing pad is that, due to its contour and its nonabsorptive material, fluids like urine and spit-up will pool under the baby if they're not caught quickly -- which can be a bit of a problem with boys or babies with reflux. This problem got better for us over time as the baby's bodily fluids became less unpredictable, but for the beginning we resolved this issue by using Munchkin washable liners to catch these fluids so we wouldn't find ourselves needing to wash the baby after a change because of that pooling action. Also, the little adhesive strips on the back of the pad don't last very long -- the weight and solidness of the pad mean it barely budges on our surface regardless so it's not a problem for us, but this could be a potential issue for others.
