Simply awesome ipad for a 3 yr old user
I bought this ipad for me. But my toddler baby has taken it over permanently. He calls it "itad". LOL. The only time I am "allowed" to touch ipad is when it needs Charging. Honestly, if a 3 year old can operate this iPad Pro M4 then absolutely anyone can use it. It's a testament of how Apple has nailed the user experience. Congrats Apple. To our surprise our 3 year old learned by himself how to use Stage Manager, switch apps, Maximize/Minimize/Close apps. He hasn't learned to properly manipulate volume yet. Because one time he tried to do that. In that process he increased volume to Maximum and got scared because the music he was playing went so loud. I think now he is afraid to push volume buttons. I bought a folio case for ipad, sturdy metal height and tilt adjustable stand, and pencil pro. I am trying to teach my son how to use Pencil. But his fingers are so tiny that he can't hold it in his fingers properly. But he loves the Pencil and holds it with all 5 fingers and try to use it on ipad. I don't like that because he tends to push the pencil much harder than I think the delicate screen can tolerate. Apple should make Ultra-light weight pencil and indestructible screen. Toddlers and parents worldwide will be extremely happy. There are so many educational, entertaining apps for children on Apple store that we don't buy toys and other gadgets anymore. Of course this could be a good or bad, depending upon how you look at it. We as parents are traditionalists. But I think our son loves technology and uses it to his advantage. Our hope is that he learns while getting entertained. If you are a parent of small child then consider buying ipad (any model), it will really help your children learn - tracing alphabets, numbers, shapes. Match letters, make words from letters, play math games, match shapes and colors and much much more. Your kids will love it. Btw the color quality is just awesome because it's an OLED screen. The HDR videos become SO bright that you will need to reduce brightness. This ipad although it's Pro version, the battery lasts for a long time. I recommend anyone to set 80% as maximum battery charging level. This will improve battery life in the long run. Thank you Apple for making this wonderful product.

OLED is the way to go
4/25/25 Apple iPad Pro 13-Inch (M4) - space blackI have had this device for a couple months. What an amazing device. I can not find a flaw. An ipad is an ipad. but with the hardware included in this device makes it so close to a laptop, but will never be since the software isn't built for it, at least today.butter smooth even after 11 months after release. battery lasts my day of use usually drained down to 40. fast charging at 20w. Super thin and durable. I still wouldn't sit on it.The first oled screen, one that I have been waiting for. amazing and crisp.I didn't get the nano matte screen because in the past when I have used matte screen protectors it lowers the brightness.

I love this iPad. It is greatly improved from my 12.9 iPad Pro. Lighter, faster, better screen, what is not to love?

Replaced a 10 year old iPad, Awesome upgrade
New iPad gift for my wife, she lives the large screen, fast processing, great capacity for family photos, clear beautiful screen, long battery life. iPads have always been pricey, but great quality for the money.

Eh’, it’s an iPad. Does a better tablet exist? Room for improvement.
Writing a review for this seems silly. It’s an Apple iPad. It’s a very solid product. Battery life is great. Size is fantastic (even after slapping on a case that doubles weight and thickness.) My prior iPad seemed to never develop scratch marks, regardless of the crazy places I’d use it.I had/have a gen 2 version of the 12.9” pro. Over 7 years, the battery has gotten pretty pathetic so I started to eye up a newer version. Then, while doing CAD work, my gen 2 choked a bit on a somewhat simple-seeming operation. After a bit of a conversation with ChatGPT, I found myself buying a new iPad - and not just any version, but the 1TB version so I get maximum power! ChatGPT suggested I’d be getting a 7x performance upgrade! Never ask ChatGPT if you should buy something you want to buy in the back of your mind, but probably don’t need… $1800-$2000 later, you end up with an iPad and a pricey education?I’m not an Apple-ecosystem person. iPad is the one and only Apple product I have. I sure do like it though. Apple seems to last forever.Sadly, I went to go perform the same CAD operation on my new super all-powerful iPad of infinite power and possibilities! … eh’, still had issues. Worked a little better though. In the end, moral of the story? I should have probably just gone to an Apple Store and seen if I could get the battery replaced on my gen2. I had zero performance issues otherwise. Dang Apple products just last forever. I now figure this new iPad - for how I use it - will probably last me until I retire in 20 years…I do like the Face ID though! And usb-c beats the heck out of lightning cables for charging. The old Apple Pencil way of charging was the most insane and poorly thought out design ever - but I never did snap one off, no matter how much I worried about it. I love that my new pencil is a magnetic charge. Vast improvement.Unfortunately, new device means new review of features and hypercritical review of said new features:Found the “scribble” option for pencil! That’s awesome! ……. Except, turn that on and you are now SOL if you want a full-size on-screen keyboard. The hell? Excuse me, but sometimes I want to scribble. Sometimes I want to type with fingers. Not going to happen! Turn on “scribble” and you’re relegated to a micro-keyboard that is passively ok for pencil tapping. Want to turn it off so you can get the keyboard back? Need to power off the device before that will help.I made the mistake of then trying speech-to-text. At first I did so in the ChatGPT app. Mistake. ChatGPT app uses its own means of doing that conversion and it is AWESOME. Sadly, I then tried to use speech-to-text elsewhere with the iPad actually doing the work…. Ugh. It sucks. Badly. Especially compared to the ChatGPT version, which did all of the most perfect punctuation. I guess I was hoping the whole Apple Intelligence M4 chip thing would make speech-to-text work better. Nope…Built for Apple intelligence, it says! I guess my expectations were… high. I feel underwhelmed. Siri remains a mindless assistant. I think it’s supposed to potentially interact with ChatGPT…? Eh’, can’t tell if so. I find ChatGPT to be incredible. I find Siri/Apple intelligence to be… lacking. Maybe user error? My end conclusion in all of this is that Apple products remain relevant for much longer than other brands. The hardware engineers are brilliant/impressive. Backend architecture designers are probably pretty impressive too. More up-front software engineers are… meh. I probably wouldn’t have used scribble much, but the keyboard size issue disenfranchised me pretty badly. I’m not sorry I bought this. If I knew before I bought it, what I know now, I would not have bought it - I’d have looked harder into just getting a battery replacement for my 7 year old iPad.
