Spinners are the way to travel
Purchase (2) 30" Samsonite spinners which replaced our 2 very old 28" 2 wheel luggage which had it use for 10yrs + and recent used on a long family international trip. We only had a 1 Samsonite spinner on that trip with the older luggage and was great and easy to lug around unlike the old ones which was very cumbersome to use at airports etc., I believe the best luggages made and reliable are the Samsonite spinner due to good weather proofed material, easy to roll around and reliable.

Extra Large Suitcase, Easy 4-wheel
Very lightweight, 4-wheels are very easy to roll, extra large capacity is great and love the purple color. High quality.

Not the same color that appeared on my screen
This is a very nice bag but the color in the image and the color of the bag that arrived at my house were so different that I ended up sending the bag back. The image on my screen was a gorgeous green that could best be described as a dark emerald. Stunning. This is my favorite color and I really wanted the bag. When it arrived it was a kind of dark dusty green and while it is a very nice bag I decided to send it back because it wasn't what I wanted. Still holding out for a big spinner in a gorgeous shade of emerald. If you are not all that concerned about the color -- BUY THIS BAG. It's big but very lightweight and rolls so smoothly on those spinner wheels. The quality is excellent.

Large, light, easy to maneuver. No frills. NOT DURABLE.
Very large. Don't even think about using for carry-on. Also, it would be a good idea to weigh it once packed to make sure you are not over weight. Otherwise it is basic. There is no built-in suit hanger, so I bought a closet hanging garment bag from Target to pack inside it. The little combination lock that comes with it is extremely cheesy (mine appears to be broken), so I bought a better cable padlock to replace it. Likewise the included toiletries bag - it is a _very_ basic one, and I have several better. But this is just the suitcase I was looking for to take on my Caribbean trip - roomy and easy to maneuver, and the price is not bad. Edit - reduced from 4 to 2 stars. After 3 years the top handle pulled off. It was under 50 pounds - I was weighing it at the time. So much for Samsonite durability.

Wheel broke off, but repair was quick and easy
Updated: Due to a relatively painless repair process, I've bumped my review from 1 star to 3 stars. It seems possible that my suitcase had a manufacturing defect and was not representative of the typical bag. I also added a description of the repair process at the bottom of this review. On only this bag's 2nd time flying, Delta managed to completely snap off one of the wheels. All airlines, including Delta, are notorious for abusing your bags. When I pay this much money for a suitcase, I expect to receive one that can actually survive that abuse for more than 2 plane trips. My last bag was a similar 4-wheeled bag by Swiss Army, for which I paid about $100. That bag lasted me almost 4 years, including numerous international flights. Would have loved to see that kind of durability in this bag too. Other details about the bag: - It is exactly the maximum dimensions allowed by all major airlines. You shouldn't have any trouble checking it - Being such a big bag means you have lots of room for stuff! But it can also be very easy to go over the 50 lb limit before the bag is even full - The wheels roll super smoothly and are really convenient....at least until they break off - The black color, which I bought, is just plain, nondescript black. Consider buying a luggage tag or something else to make your bag stand out if you choose to go with black (other reviewers indicate the other colors, like green and purple, are really vivid and bright) I really wanted to love this bag. But lasting less than a few months is totally unacceptable for a suitcase. UPDATE: Through the Samsonite website, I found an official Samsonite repair shop about 20 minutes from where I live. I took my bag there, and they repaired it good as new. As a bonus, even though the Samsonite warranty specifically excludes damage due to transportation (i.e. the jerkoffs who work for Delta), the guy at the shop managed to get it covered by warranty, so the repair was free of charge! I suspect they decided to cover it as a manufacturing defect since the bag was pretty new. And even if it hadn't been covered, the shop owner estimated the repair would have only cost about $30. My repair was also done in under 24 hours, but again, the owner told me this could have taken up to a couple of weeks if he hadn't already had the correct wheel in inventory. If you want to try this suitcase out, consider checking if there is a Samsonite-affiliated luggage repair shop in your area. It is a good way to get the most out of your bag!

Inferior Quality Bag
I have used this bag for a little over a year and a half. The stitching came undone around the side handle, and the top handle broke. I have used the bag on four international flights and three flights in the USA. This bag should have held up better than it has. The handles are points of stress in a suitcase, and they were not made strong enough.

As big as we can get
It is a huge suitcase!!! However, I am gonna warn you... the sum of the internal dimensions is 62" and the external dimension (including wheel and bag strap) is about 68". I don not know if I will be able to travel by airline without paying extra money due oversize (since the sum of the dimensions allowed is no larger than 62"). I will update this review in 2 weeks when I go back to Brazil. Edit: I have used this suitcase multiple times and I never had a problem checking it out.

A great buy!!
These suitcases are great. They are at the limit of what most airlines allow and that means you have room to pack as much as you can get away with in terms of weight. They are great for business class travel but even in economy they are a life saver for those bulky but not heavy items like a ski jacket etc. They slide on a smooth floor but also travel well on rougher surfaces. The deep purple colour is good for travelling: not too light coloured to show every detail of rough use and they surely stand out among all those black and red suitcases on the conveyer belt.
