Ordered it to replace one that failed and the fit and finish was identical to the one that failed, works as it should.

It works, but there are fitment issues
I purchased this a replacement for Whirlpool part WP3148954 which controls the 8-inch burner. It fits and works, but the shaft extends about 3/8-ich further out than the original part, so the knob has a bit of a stand-off look.

when you hear the electric snapping sound order one of these. it appears that they only last about 4 years. super easy to replace but be sure to unplug oven or have your affairs in order.
