Will i pick up just wifi on my phone without doing the sim card thing

When you use Wi Fi portion of antenna you will pick up all wireless around you for 1/2 to 3/4 mile that are within range. You can then piggyback on any you have access to that have a signal strength of 50% or more. Swapping out the SIM card is an option you have if you want to with ATT or Verizon

I have an already existing Verizon account, our campground has an AT&T tower very close by, will this work for me with an activated SIM card/Verizon?

Not easy, you have to covert the plan on that line to HOT SPOT. Cost a lot more than a regular line.

My verizon mifi has a weak signal in Bridgeport, Tx. Will this device increase it's signal strength?
