Its worth it. Im worth it.
Easy to apply. 5min makeup. Sunscreen. Excellent price. Good Value. EDIT: Still the one. I've resigned myself to mineral powders only. Or this powder only. This has such a natural look on me. That's hard to do when a product has sufficient pigment such as this one. In the summer I use a lite dusting kaolin based(silicone free) powder as a primer on my T-zone so I don't get shiny. I wished I'd tried this years ago, I'd have saved myself a LOT of money. New users please note this isn't a ' swirl, tap, and buff ' product. Its a ' DIP, STIPPLE, then BUFF. Steps 1. Remove lid, unscrew brush(top) and remove inner seal. Or poke holes, you should see the perforations on the sifter. replace brush(top). 2. With brush(top) screwed on SHAKE container once or twice no more or too much product is dispensed. USER BEWARE. Product will gather on the underside of brush top, the next step is important to avoid too much fall out. Step three is the messiest part. Another option is to put powder in another container. 3. TAP container base on palm or counter once or twice so that powder settles on sifter. Next unscrew brush(top) and flip it over. Note: you will see powder on the underside, that's how creamy this powder is. Tapping of base helps mitigate this but it seems, with this container, agitation of any sort seem to release a lot of product. This may be why people complain about the 'mess'. 4. DIP brush(top), or brush of choice , lightly onto sifter container portion and pick up the amount of product you desire. Dip brush as often as you need to. NO NEED TO SWIRL AND TAP. The harder you press the more product the brush will pickup. So start slow. This product has a fine 'creamy' mill. This product adheres to the brush without any 'swirling' motion. You can swirl but the brush will pickup, possibly, more product than needed. You shouldn't try to use the lid as its ,not apart of or useful in the process. Its just a lid. This isn't that other national brand. You can tell I'm not a fan. 5. STIPPLE and tamp product onto face were you want coverage, then 6. BUFF to distribute product , swirl if you must, on face to get the even coverage you desire. Less waste and mess. There will be mess but significantly less and likely on your robe or current attire. If you wear foundation products loose powders and such that happens anyway. More coverage?: repeat at step 2 or 4-6. Too much product in and on sifter level?: Replace brush top then gently swirl container in hand like you would a glass of fine wine. Gently. Even easier. Replace brush top with lid. Use a separate brush( I use wet n wild Kabuki Brush, Flat Top Blending Brush, For Liquid & Mineral Foundation) and Tap the side of the foundation container while you hold it in your hand. Note the sifter is removable use a file or finger nail to gently pry the sifter pan up at the outer edge Easy. This product lasts all day. Some may need to prime and/or set depending on ones skin and/or skincare products, environment etc. Also its a great value because the product lasts a long time. As a side note sometime around 2018 Loreal had extended shades on Walmart.com. I didn't know they even existed let alone their availability. My best shade, in this formula, would be between N7 classic tan and N8 Cappuccino. It doesn't exist but I mix the two for a 'dark golden beige' tone. My coloring is a Muted Golden Olive. Think Found Mattifying Powder Foundation #173 Golden Tan (discontinued) or Alima pure satin matte {Mix of Neutral 7+Olive 6}. Note: L'Oreal C6 Soft sable too dark and has a red/violet/grey tinge on me. Around 2020 I saw the writing on the wall, Wally world (website) had the extended line (fair/ light thru dark/deep shades) on clearance, and the kept the original 12 shades in the lineup, you know I cleared the shelf of the shades I could use [n6 Honeybeige+n8 Cappuccino]. Minerals , this formulation anyway, are inert so no worries but its a unfortunate many have few options in powder foundation let alone clean options at mass retailers. Either we are limited by the shade range or we settle for a formula/formulation that is lacking in performance. Loreal if your reading this please bring back the BARE NATURALE / TRUE MATCH MINERALS eyeshadows, blush, finishing powder, all your 'clean' products, please KEEP YOUR WINNING FORMULA, and of course since where all worth it maybe add back more foundation shades. If anyone cares , IMO, The Age perfect products w/Minerals are too luminous and 'blurring', yet has no coverage nor does the user have control of overall finish. Most colors lean warm. No offense to Loreal and not to discredit the True match liquid flagship but not everyone is a fan of liquid makeup in general. Forgive me in advance, I used the true match liquid 'grid' to get a rough estimate of intensity. That grid appears in accurate in terms of depth, monitors can vary, and then again this True Match collection is more about addressing undertones. Again, for give me the lighter shades I'm uncertain about. Intensity: Soft Ivory N1-2 Light Ivory W1-2 Natural Ivory C1-2 Nude Beige W3 Natural Buff N3 Creamy Natural C3 Natural Beige W4-5 Buff Beige N4 Classic Beige C4-5 Sun Beige W6-7 Classic Tan N6-7 Soft Sable C6 Anyway always a Loreal fan, Your worth it. 2/8/25. They really discontinued the whole line. Ridiculous. L'Oreal you got consumers waiting.

My must have for years
I cannot live without this makeup! I have used this product for around 6-8 years now. It is very easy to build coverage and it has a very natural appearance when applied. This shade works very well for my fair skin with a yellow undertone. I believe soft ivory is the lightest shade they have. I use this product atleast 4 times a week and it lasts me for 1-3 months. My skin is combination/oily and with this it still looks good at the end of the day. If you have dry skin you may want to make sure to exfoliate and moisturize often because as with any powder product it could accentuate your dry skin. Even though I own an easy to use professional air brush system, I chose to use this as my everyday makeup. Most of the time (around 95%) this foundation is enough to cover all of my blemishes without concealer including acne, veins, redness, and undereye circles. If something needs a little extra coverage I am able to use a concealer brush or my finger to apply this powder directly to the blemish. I do have naturally veiny eyelids and get occasional hormonal acne and this product works very well at concealing those issues for me. I've never experienced any troubles with break outs or clogged pores when using this while having acne. As far as the brush I do not typically use it. It is a decent brush for a disposable makeup system, and it applies the makeup well. I often use a kabuki brush because it gives a lighter coverage, for medium to full coverage their brush works well. To disperse the powder onto my brush I do not use the makeup well, it is concentrated into a small area and I like to control the amount of coverage. I always tap some powder out onto the side of a large flat empty leather makeup bag and then disperse the amount I desire onto my brush. Doing this usually leaves extra ready to go for the next time I wish to apply any. It's a similar technique to using a painter's palette. It takes me less than a minute to apply this makeup from start to finish for flawless skin no matter the amount of blemishes I have. Out of all the designer and drugstore makeup I've used this is my absolute favorite foundation. It is easy, it looks natural, and gets the job done well all while being mineral based and healthy for your skin.

The best product ever! Foundation, concealer and powder all in one!!
I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!! I have super sensitive skin, so for many years I bough really expensive department store makeup brands. Nothing ever gave me a good coverage. I even tried the Bare Minerals product and that didn't work out either. A lot of makeup I was allergic to as well. When this product hot the shelves years ago, it changed my life!! I have Lupus and due to the diease I have what's called the butterfly rash. It's pretty common with SLE. I have dark spots of pigmented skin, red blotches and I also have severe acne. I don't like the heavy feel of primer, moisterizer, liquid foundation, concealer and powder! I wanted all in 1 products! #1 I use the Magic Perfecting cream by Loreal. Then I use the Mineral Powder. You can get a light coverage or a heavy coverage depending on how much you apply. I apply a lot of the mineral powder, but what's important is that it doesn't feel like a lot! It really doesn't feel like I have any makeup on at all. Now every now and again I have a red spot that i can't get covered even when using the small brush with the mineral powder. Then I have to use a concealer and I either use the green crayon like Loreal concealer or the skin color one. Just depends on the type of spot. And that's pretty rare that I have to use those. 90% of the time the Mineral Powder does the trick. Now I use to NEVER show my face without makeup on. I mean never. I remember one time my best friend dropped by with out calling ahead. She was in the neighborhood. I had no makeup on. I had her wait outside until I got my makeup out then opened the door told her to come in and have a seat on the couch and I quickly put my Loreal Magic Perfecting Cream on and them my Loreal Mineral Powder on. I was so embarrassed. Even when I've been admitted to the hospital I have my makeup on. I would shower or sponge bath and get at least up to the step of my mineral powder on. (I usually wear full makeup. Brows, eyeshadow, eyeliner, contouring pallet, blush, mascara, the setting spray. The Loreal setting spray is amazing! It keeps your makeup on all day long!! Not only do I have Lupus, but I have a whole array of health issues from heart and lung damage to degenerative bone diease and a book worth of health issues in between!!! Well recently I decided to share with people what I look like with no makeup. I want other women who are going through similar things that I do to know you can look beautiful and have your makeup look amazing on the cheep! So here I am from no makeup, to full makeup.

Good foundation with terrible packaging
I have been using this foundation daily for the past three to four months. I had previously been using the original L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation (in C1 Alabaster), which I really like, but really wanted to try this since it is probably better for the skin. I purchased this in the Natural Ivory shade, along with the concealer, mineral finish, blush, and mineral glow. I feel the foundation shade matches very closely to my skin. At first, I was not that impressed with this makeup because I have oily skin and it would wear off halfway through the day. I also had to learn how to apply this since I was accustomed to using liquid makeup. That brings me to the packaging and included brushes. The brushes are terrible. They need to do away with them. I use my Real Techniques Buffing brush for the foundation, which I pour out into a flat lid from a face cream pot that I saved. It's got more surface area for swirling the brush. The shaker pots that the makeup comes in are too small for proper swirling and makeup gets stuck in the grooves of the inside lid, which also serves as the handle of the brush. Very impractical. I have to go over my face twice with the foundation to get good coverage and I still get very shiny by day's end but I'm too busy to reapply and, frankly, don't care by that point, anyway. My boss does sometimes ask me if I'm sweating. I do think that, since I began using this makeup daily, my skin has improved. I have fewer dark spots. I have always had occasional break outs and still do, so nothing changed there. I do feel better about using this vs. the liquid, however, still use the liquid for occasions when I need makeup to last (i.e. weddings, holidays, etc). Edit (6-20-16): This container has developed several cracks, some of which appear to go all the way through. I've never dropped this one but it has been jostled around a bit while inside my makeup bag. I accidentally dropped the container for the Soft Focus Mineral Finish and it shattered. I was able to salvage some of the powder but, again, these containers are not good at all.

Great Coverage - A bit messy (like all powders) - Worth it!!
I have used this product for several years and the coverage is amazing and very buildable from a soft light dusting to cover oily hot spots on my face to a full on photo finish look. As an older 50+ woman, I have always heard to stay away from powders, but I still find it still works well with my skin. When first applied, it will look as if it is settling a little bit into the wrinkles of older or dry skin, but somehow, it doesn't stay that way after a couple minutes. Possibly because it finally sinks in and blends with your moisturizer or skin oils since it is mineral powder - no idea? But I love it! I have pigmentation issues and white skin patches from past acne scars and this product blends it all in with the rest of my skin. As with all powder foundation makeup, you will find it a bit messy. You will need to clean up more often, but I haven't found it to be that big of a deal. I use it over my bathroom sink or a tissue to keep it off my vanity countertops. The packaging is okay. I think Loreal did the best they could in trying to create a portable, inexpensive mineral powder that includes a brush. Personally, I use my own kabuki brush that is softer (and costs more) when I'm at home. But I have used their attached brush when on the go. Yes, it is a little scratchy, but not horrible or unusable. Overall, The pros out way the cons. And for the money - this is a high quality product with great coverage, works with my skin and not just on top of it, lasts long and worthy of a five star rating in comparison to other similarly priced foundation products.

The best easy, efficient spot-treatment concealer -- just, not cruelty-free (or vegan)
The only thing I wish was different about this product is that I wish it was cruelty-free and vegan. I'm a Caucasian mutt with lots of Polish, Dutch, German, Irish/Scottish, and probably other equally pale people in my family tree, so I'm pretty fair-skinned. I'm brunette (dark brown, with red in the family) and freckle, although more obviously on the body than the face. I've lived my whole life in Southern California and both my business and my hobbies involve being outdoors walking and working in the sun (I don't tan really). The Light 478 tone works perfectly on me for all that -- a great match, indeed. I love the powder -- I used a liquid before my mom introduced me to this product and it was a nightmare for my spotty teen self. Not effective. This powder is so much better. The built-in little filter shelf is excellent to cut way back on waste and excess powder per application. Too much on the shelf? Cap and shake some back down into the main container. The fact that it has its own brush and cap, as well as its small size, make it perfectly portable. I just wish the little shelf was easy to pop out: I could re-use the container instead of being forced to toss it. I think it used to be easier to separate, but now (this is my 3rd bottle) I can't get it apart with all the prying in the world: just broke the plastic rim. I don't wear much make-up (no foundation or anything: just eye, mostly), but I have poor skin and always need to cover something up or disguise the calling cards of my insomnia whenever I go out in public. Even so, I only need to replace this teeny 0.07 oz bottle once every 11 months or so, depending. I put it on and it stays all day, and covers just about everything (I spot-treat with this product) to reduce them to less noticeable. Only on a particularly egregious kind of blemish, when my skin is just really angry in some spot, does the powder separate a little bit so you can see creases if you really look. Otherwise, even though I'm fairly oily and often have several small blemishes to cover, this product works like a dream to disguise and generally even out and de-shine skin tone if you need that on occasion. Love the product, but really, really wish it was cruelty-free and vegan. If I can find a comparable concealer that is, I will switch, although this product is otherwise perfect for me!

Availability and price!
I've been using this foundation for quite a long time. I LOVE it! I'm in my mid 60's and use Natural Beige. I never cared for liquid makeup as it always seemed so heavy on my face. This mineral loose powder is light weight that I don't even feel it. It covers just enough and feels and looks natural. In recent years I have found it very hard to find. It seems Loreal has discontinued it? When I do find it, the cost is outrageous! Recently I found it for $49.90. Because I fear that I will no longer be able to obtain this product I have been searching for a replacement. I am very disappointed. :(

AH!
Pros: This is very buildable. It'll easily cover up my pimple, without needing any concealer at all. It also has a very pretty sheen. Cons: Pretty much everything else about it is a nightmare. It's a freaking MESS. The powder doesn't want to come out of the holes in the container. It's a battle. I basically had to turn the whole thing over and shake it really hard, into the big clear lid that comes with it. The brush that came with it is way too firm, so I couldn't get the product to spread on my face evenly. It caked up on my cheeks, near my nose. I had to start over, using my regular, softer powder brush. It also flies everywhere while I'm brushing it onto my face. I got ALL over my clothes, and everything around me. I had to clean it out of my eyebrows and hairline. Also, the color that I chose was Sun Beige, because that's the name of the color I use in the True Match super-blendable line (W6). The color is not the same. I'm very olive-toned, and this is more neutral. So, it looks like I'm wearing the wrong shade, by a little bit. The True Match super-blendable foundation and powder are both DEAD ON. Screw this stuff, I'm going back to Loreal's True Match Super-Blendable compact powder. It's way easier. I was just looking for something that wasn't as matte.

So glad I ordered this
So happy I ordered this, despite what I consider a completely exaggerated price. I can no longer find it in stores and it's truly the only foundation I like. Unlike other powder foundations, it is not dry, it does not make dry skin flakes stand out and it somehow magically sticks to the skin all day long. Bulky packaging, hefty price but great product.
