NEW 15 Baby Live Freshwater Clams: Perfect for Aquariums and Ponds Brown, Gold, Tan, Silver 1 Count (Pack of 15)

I ordered 2 batches of 15 for an aquaponics system holding about 450 gallons. All of the clams arrived alive (I waited until fall for cooler temperatures), and started situating themselves and/or doing the snorkel thing immediately. I have found one of them dead after a week or two, but I have handled them excessively and it may have ended up buried in anoxic mud or something, and I expected them to be much more sensitive than they are, so I'm pretty happy. Surprisingly, these are much more entertaining than I expected. They also fill a niche that I think will benefit the good work my shrimp and snails do by keeping the water column more clear of bits that shrimp and snails can't really catch. I need to keep the water more nutrient rich than I can reasonably maintain for fish, so the garden of plants that have their roots in it can grow and fruit, but not be overwhelmed with algae and biofilm. It looks like these clams are doing all the things that I expected except for dieing back, so the next question is going to be if they will undergo a population explosion and get stuck in the pump and water lines. It holds up to Trumpet Snails though, so I don't expect a clampocalypse... yet I'm looking forward to collecting some, if they reproduce, and making a little 'stream bed' for them to catch whatever small bits come out of my spin-down filter, which always has flow due to a smaller pump running in parallel.

They arrived all alive and very active !

Love my babies! I have them in the bottom of a breeder box I lined with substrate. I can keep and eye on them without losing them and they clean they waste from my soon to be moms. All arrived safe and healthy free of any parasites that I may have got from wild clams. Great value for the price

Perfectly cute little guys started burrowing as soon as I put them in my aquarium. One may be dead, but that's to be expected with shipping. Very happy with my purchase

At least one was dead before opening the package immediately upon arrival, will have to see if any make it.

Arrived alive and well. They are “happy as a clam” in my tanks. Split them between 3 tanks.

They all arrived alive. they burry themselves so you will never get to see more than their mouth sticking up out of the substrate. They do help with the water cleaning but they are not a 100% solution for dirty water

My clams have been doing well, all came in live and healthy. I put them in my potted pond plants and have noticed them around the pond on several occasions. They were all the size of a dime or close to it. They have been alive for months at this point even with the top water freezing over.
