It is suitable for use with a Viaccess viewing card

Does it work in ireland? do i need a smart card for it? i just need free uk and irish channels

Yes, would need a card to put in it - it is designed to hold a subscription T.V. card (I use it for French T.V.). In order to receive British 'Freesat' channels, you'd just need a receiver set to 'Astra 2' satellite - with the dish aligned to this satellite I don't believe that the Irish channels broadcast free-to-air on satellite (I've not encountered them anyway!).

Does it work for polish or tv in uk? I had a reciever but it broke. I used a Nhdtv card.
