Exactly what I had been looking for and it's a great job

I bought a couple of these rod holders to go on the back of a large wheeled cool box, this allows me to have a couple of rods set and stowed safely whilst on a boat. I appreciate they may be not have been designed for a cool box, but they do the job perfectly, and the mounting blocks keep the tubes away from the body of the cool box allowing the lid to open as normal. I tried a few of my rods and all slip in and out of the tubes quickly and smoothly, even my spinning rod with trigger grip handle was fine. Due to a shorter butt length of a second spinning rod, the leg of the fixed spool reel sits within the cut out of the rod tube (see image), no doubt all the reels would be in this position if the rod tubes were higher off the ground, but this is due to positioning and not the design of the tube. All in all they seem very well made and under normal use I cannot imagine them breaking. They come supplied with two bolts/nuts and screws which I think may be self tappers. The screws were too long to use on my cool box 9not what they were designed for), but even with the shorter screws I used, the tubes are very solid and secure. Would I buy again, definitely, I bought two originally, one for either side, but once they arrived I decided with two either side, I would have more options.PS: Two more purchased :-)
