Great summer sandal - my replacement for flipflops
Bought these in the spring, it's now mid summer. These have become my go to shoe as my ankles/feet can't do flip flops. I have the tan lines! When I bought them I was concerned the Velcro would wear out, but it's done great, has held up even at the beach and in the salt water. The buckles that tighten have slipped some occasionally that's to be expected when I'm taking them on and off every day and tugging on them. Very happy with them.My only con is that they slide on my foot just enough that they are not a distance walking shoe - they cause a friction rub on the ball/forefoot of my feet when I walk a mile or more. For everyday around the house, play, pool, beach, shopping, driving, etc they are perfect.

Minimalist, light, super easy to adjust. (My usage is mostly urban trails and sidewalks)
I absolutely love these. I think if I was in sand, the toe area would become a scoop, but I think that’s true for any sandal of this style. These however have been super light and adjustable, perfect for urban and city use. YMMV about hiking in wooded or rocky areas… I have a pair of closed barefoot shoes for trails because I hate getting “stuff” in my shoes.I got some blisters from breaking in my Birkenstocks, but because of the minimalistic design, I have been wearing these without problems!NOTE: If you are new to “barefoot shoes” I recommend working up to long days and long distances. Most people, unless they walk around barefoot a lot need to strengthen their feet. Rule of thumb is generally don’t walk further than you would if you were actually walking barefoot. Then increase the distance.

A good barefoot sandal for light hiking.
These sandals work well for me as intended. It might be helpful to explain the “barefoot” shoes trend. As I understand it anyway… It is all about helping your feet get aligned, your toes to splay unencumbered and to walk naturally which helps your back, knees and feet to strengthen and theoretically reduce pain. So basically, these sandals are quite thin on purpose so that you can “feel” the ground you are walking on and balance accordingly. They are thin, but they do have tread so that I can hike in them without slipping. Some people use them to run, I do not. They do protect the bottom of my feet from getting cuts or abrasions. They do stay on my feet and do NOT cut into the skin on the top of my feet as so many other sandals do. I do feel fatigued after wearing them for an extended period of time. That’s when I wear my old foam flip flops for comfort. I am hoping long term to heal a bad tendon in my foot and improve my posture to lessen recurrent back pain. I can barely force myself to wear a closed toe shoe anymore…. And only do when absolutely necessary. I have to have a wide toe box so that my toes can splay naturally after decades of abuse in ill made, confined shoes. I hope to work up to more time in these sandals as I get stronger. If you need arch support or extensive cushioning, these are NOT the sandals to buy…. I enjoy them for what they do for me. They are well made and durable so far. I also wanted to point out that the sandals are lightweight… if you think about the energy it requires to lift your foot in a heavy shoe or sandal with every step…the barefoot idea is to save that energy for walking.

Best traction and fit!
These are the bomb! They arrived brand new one day before we left for Ireland. It was the record hottest days so I opted for these instead of hiking boots and I climbed up and down a pretty big hill with rocks in these and crushed it! They are so comfortable. Size is accurate and if not you can adjust them!I’m a 7.5 running shoe. 8 in a hiking boot, ordered these in a 7.

Great shoe, if it lasts
I love the way these shoes feel but they took a couple of weeks to arrive and have already started to show significant wear in a couple of areas after only two weeks of wear. I haven’t hiked in them or done anything to warrant them already starting to break down—just a couple of hours of mostly indoor wear per day.

Quality, barefoot.
The good, the tread on the Sandals are durable, The pink in the nylon is vibrant, easy on and offThe cons, the material on the side is not nylon, it fades very quickly, and the color bleeds onto my feet. I would never buy these again.

Great sandals
Very comfortable. I could walk all day in them they are very lightweight and I especially like the fact you can adjust them especially if your feet have swelled up by the end of the day .
