Charged both Makita 18v batteries perfectly
As advertised. No problem charging both my Makita 18v batteries .

I think the charger performance for price value was best feature.
The charger did a good job charging the 18V Lithium-Ion Battery. I like the price. The Battery seems good? I do not know if the little heater draws the charge down quick or if it could ( heater ) need a longer lasting battery level.

Does NOT properly charge a new BL1820B
I bought my first Makita battery, model BL1820B, and this charger does not properly charge it. Its LED indicated it was charging then fully charged by lighting up solid green. But pressing the power level button on the battery showed nothing.Later I shed some more bucks to buy a proper DC18RC charger, that charges the battery up without a glitch and I got full LED power level bar. By comparing these two chargers, I found the two charging blades of this JJXNDO are inserted into the two long electrode slots of the battery, of a wider distance of 1.5 in. While the proper DC18RC has two blades distanced 1.25 in, inserted into a long and a short electrode slots of the battery. And it also has a receptor that connects the small connector at the center of the battery, which JJXNDO doesn't have. This appears to be just a cheap knock up of the proper charger which might work on certain types of batteries. And I'm not sure what could go wrong down the road if keep using it to charge.

Aftermarket is as aftermarket does
Oof this thing questionable. Very slow to charge which I guess is an okay thing for the longevity of the battery. But the status get confused with itself and take a while to release thereโs a battery there. But it works, I do feel I need to chaperone it in use, paranoia or forethought you decide.

Does not work
Does not work for official Makita batteries... At least not once they have been dead... As the chip on the Makita batteries need to communicate with the charger to actually charge... Which this product cannot... Maybe if batteries weren't dead it may charge them but not so sure? I had my old charger disappear apparently so bought this but does not work... Batteries had died and didn't want to buy officially branded charger but that's what I get for buying cheap huh.. lesson learned...
