Great first game, easy to adapt to little kids, not too boring for adults
I really like this game. I got it for my nearly 2.5-year old to introduce him to board games. He is too young for board games, but I liked a lot of things about this one. First, it relates to a real-world skill, in grocery shopping and following a list. Second, it is not too boring for older kids or even adults. The full game is a memory-style game of looking for the pieces on your list. Sure there are more exciting games out there, but it could be worse. Third, this seemed like a game you could easily adapt to first-time gamers, and that has really been true for us! My kid's first games have been just taking turns picking out a piece to put in your cart. My husband looked for pieces to make a recipe, I looked for things I actually frequently buy when I take my son to the store, and the toddler learned the words for the pieces he picked out. As time goes on, we will start adding in other aspects of the game, like following the list, then having pieces flipped over. I like that this game could be played in different ways. The cardboard pieces are pretty sturdy, for cardboard, and while we don't buy everything in the game, the items were all recognizable and not too uncommon.

Fun family game
Fun toy for a family game night. All my 3 daughters have fun while playing it (ages 3,4 and 7).

A favorite game for my 4 year old
Bought this when my son turned 3 and it quickly became a favorite. We got it to help with speech and it does well to compliment what is taught in early intervention speech therapy. The game helps with shopping vocabulary and matching. The pieces are sturdy and decent quality, not easily bent or torn.
