good value
i have had a good time with this one, but have not figured out how to get smartaudio, irc, whichever it uses to communicate so it is just manually programmed at 2.5w. it does deliver that though, at least when compared to another 2.5w vtx I had, the pax2

The only analog vtx you’ll ever need!!!
On 2.5W trees even buildings get penetrated… keep on low power until first arm or it’ll die with no airflow! Conflicting data as far as the protocol goes, it runs (SA2.1) smart audio not IRC Tramp like the hglrc website Says. I’ll buy one for every analog quad I got that has the room to fit it! it makes 800 mw and 1600mw seem like a joke! Please don’t buy them all up, leave a few for the rest of us lol. I leave this comment after having 4 so I feel informed enough to have an opinion… happy flying 5 stars

Works but you need this vtx table
Works, I dunno about it being a real 2.5w but its cheap. No built in mic, runs smart audio 2.1. Use this table: vtxtable vtxtable bands 5 vtxtable channels 8 vtxtable band 1 BOSCAM_A A CUSTOM 5865 5845 5825 5805 5785 5765 5745 5725 vtxtable band 2 BOSCAM_B B CUSTOM 5733 5752 5771 5790 5809 5828 5847 5866 vtxtable band 3 BOSCAM_E E CUSTOM 5705 5685 5665 5645 5885 5905 5925 5945 vtxtable band 4 FATSHARK F CUSTOM 5740 5760 5780 5880 5820 5840 5860 5880 vtxtable band 5 RACEBAND R CUSTOM 5658 5695 5732 5769 5806 5843 5880 5917 vtxtable powerlevels 5 vtxtable powervalues 14 23 29 32 34 vtxtable powerlabels 25 200 800 1.6 2.5

Don’t waste your money.
This is the first time I’ve ever encountered an issue with HGLRC stuff. I get horrible lines in my goggles, almost to the point of being unusable. Cam works flawlessly on a diff. vtx.. (so not in the camera or FC).. both work as they should. Can’t toggle pwr/band/freq with any of the buttons manually. Changes won’t stay using the BF OSD menu. And yes, that’s WITH the correct vtx table. And of course, I’m outside of the return period. As of now, it’s a 40$ paperweight.. and fwiw theres zero branding on this unit, makes me wonder if it’s actually an HGLRC vtx. Everything else I’ve got from them has their brand all over em, which makes this vtx a lil sus..

Never assume
This particular vtx doesn’t appear to work with the build I’d intended.i planned on using it as a high power analog image system but it appears to be compatible with hd systems. I may be able to use it in the future with another set up but should’ve researched more before buying.
