Amazing black out and long lasting
After having my baby the previous October, when Spring came along along with the longer days I realised how light the room was. I bought this as a 'temporary' fix. It worked perfectly, if positioned correctly it is completely black out. Fast forward 18 months and I'm finally getting round to putting proper blinds up, and let me tell you I had to use pliers to remove the velcro from this as it was still stuck that well. Other than the velcro bits not being very aesthetic, this was faultless.

Great product
Easy to install. Bought for temp use and is great.

Great product, but an off putting smell!
It definitely does what you need it to do. Works perfectly as a blackout blind, velcro is secure and it's easy to trim to size. However, as mentioned in another post, it did smell very strongly of fish! Which was rather off putting and unexpected! Would recommend washing before use

Does exactly what I needed
Bought this for our bedroom as the sun comes straight through the window ridiculously early in summer. I cut it slightly larger than the glass and attached it around the frame with the Velcro provided. The difference is massive. The bedroom is properly dark now and I'm no longer waking up as soon as it gets light outside. Simple idea but works really well.

Really useful in a rented flat
Didn't want to drill holes or spend money having proper blinds fitted as we're renting, so gave this a try. It was much easier than expected. I measured the window, cut the material with normal scissors and used the supplied Velcro around the frame. It stays in place well and when it's on the room is genuinely very dark. Great temporary solution for renters.

Velcro adhesive not strong enough.
Does it black out?Yes - kind of.The material is great and does indeed black out all light. BUT, the issue is affixing the material. The sticky velcro tabs don't stick well enough. They stick a little to the window/frame/wood whatever you're using, but then you put on the other side - onto the black out blind and then, trying to put that bit on, the first bit comes off and it's a bit of a farce really. I'd understand it if it was an issue with sticking to the structure but when it doesn't even stay put onto the material supplied then that's incredibly poor.It comes with a lot of the useless Velcros, but not enough.

This is adequate
It's decent to use for the price, and to be frank, I'm not expecting anything "out of this world" from what is effectively a small tarp you're putting over your window. But the sticky bits seem to eventually peel off, meaning, you would have to manually tape this up.It's slightly better at keeping heat out during summer , which is appreciated, and when the velcro's remained sticky, it kept light out very well.Again not long lasting, a decent filler until you can buy blinds.
