Mezcla Pistachio Chocolate Snack Bars, 11G Plant Based Protein Treat, 12 Ct

First, I love these bars. Today I want to make Mezcla aware of a recurring issue. I’ve been buying boxes of bars for a couple of years through subscribe and save. More and more often, they arrive open and scattered all over the shipping box. Amazon workers throw them in the box without regard for the item or customers. The boxes I received today had opened and were then taped shut before delivery, with six bars missing from one box. I love these bars, but they are too expensive to be shipped and handled so carelessly. I did receive a very prompt refund, which I appreciate.

I love these, they're a great snack with a decent amount of protein. They don't taste much like pistachio, more like a chocolate cereal.

I wish I had read the review from 2025 about the mislabeled macros on this bar. When the added sugar is 50% of the protein this equates to nothing more than another highly processed junk food. I reached out to the company twice and they responded cryptically and non committal about changing recipes and other inconsistent responses to why the label on the bar lists 1 gm added sugar, yet the advertising on their website lists 5 gms added. In the end I realized what I 1st bought thinking was something as a healthy snack, was in fact not. Very disappointed as I bought 2 boxes thinking they were low added sugar. My colleagues at work don't care about sugar so these will not go wasted and they taste great if you don't care about the macros.

I originally ordered the pistachio bars and they didn't taste right. I wrote a review and the company promptly refunded me for the bars! I do really enjoy the peanut butter chocolate bars and will continue to order them, they make for a great snack at work! Thank you for providing excellent customer service!

The product is not bad but it is not worth the high price. 1) I like it is not whey protein so it doesn’t come with the weird taste, but also 10g protein per 160 calories is also not that impressive. Probably a snack rather than a protein bar 2) For the high price I can’t resonate why they used almond butter instead of pistachio butter for the pistachio flavor one, I hardly tasted any pistachio

I love these- I can’t eat a lot of packaged snacks and was glad to find these. I’m corn and wheat free (allergies). I do wish there were more pistachios. One thing I’m worried about- I got the strawberry also and those are in the new packaging. They are also made in the US which as a person with food allergies I don’t love (the US has way more additives and is very lax with their contamination in comparison). The pistachio pack I got is still made in Canada and I hope it stays that way.

I was lucky enough to chance upon these when they were 40% off. I had wanted to try them, so I got the pistachio chocolate flavour. I'm allergic to whey (dairy), wheat and soy, and these have none of those ingredients. I prefer Mezcla's use of pea protein because I find it the least gritty, and the least discernible in terms of taste. These are fantastic consistency and flavour. I suspect it's because most ingredients are organic, and because Mezcla supports The Hunger Project to end world hunger by 2030. While all that is noble, for me it translates to paying (normally) $3 for one tiny protein bar. I cannot afford that, as I eat a protein bar every day. I suspect there are others like me who are in the same boat. I don't know how long Mezcla as a company can afford to support the Hunger Project, which consumers actually pay for, while still making a profit on sales of their protein bars. For me, I will only be able to buy them on the off chance that they go on sale. :(

I really do prioritize protein because of my workout routine & being vegetarian, however, one day I bought 2 of these at whole foods as a snack and I was SHOCKED from how tasty they are. So while there are other protein bars with more protein content out there (most of them are whey based which is ok for me as I eat dairy), it has been a while since I was so happy to eat my bars and the protein content might be slightly lower than other bars but so does the calorie count, and this is so so worth it. I got three flavors and just placed another order of 3 packs (less than 2 months later as sometimes I had 2 a day), and I am so excited to try the other flavors and restock the current flavors. Really can’t recommend enough, as I rather eat 2 with an extra of 100ish calories and ENJOY EVERY BITE vs eating other protein bars while being miserable. YUMMY!!!!
