Charcoal Bamboo ECO Dent Toothbrushes - Natural Wood Organic Cotton Buds & Dental Floss - Biodegradable - Medium Firm Bristles - 5 Pack

I bought these toothbrushes for my partner because we wanted more eco-friendly brushes, and we were instantly very pleased with them. So much so that I had to buy some more for my mum and brother too. I have tried a soft bristled plastic toothbrush before from a supermarket that didn't clean effectively, and my last plastic toothbrush had bristles so hard they hurt my gums. This brush however removes plaque effectively and doesn't hurt at all. I can see that this brand also offer a tougher bristled brush for those complaining that this one is too soft. I don't understand the complaints about the shape/feel/grip of it, I don't need my toothbrush to be anything fancy. My family didn't find that the wood reaches the back of their mouth or irritates their gums, whereas I currently have a wisdom tooth that is so far back that it needs to be removed really, so I filed down the end of the toothbrush that sticks out and it was then absolutely fine. None of us 4 have found any problem with rinsing the brush after brushing, or any drying/absorbing issues when standing the brush in a cup as we always do. We have not found any bristles to have fallen out or wood to splinter and we've been using them for 3 months so far (dentists recommended changing every 3-4 months). We all like the floss, which we haven't found to break easily as some people found. The plastic wrapping is biodegradable, and each one is wrapped individually for hygiene reasons, as I believe it should be. (If you bought the 5 pack for just yourself, and you opened the same package to use the 1st one, you then wouldn't use the 5th brush until a year later, so it would have been exposed to the air for over a year?) The nylon bristles obviously means that it is not fully biodegradable, but the only alternative that has currently been made that I know of is tapioca/corn, which only lasts for 6 weeks due to the brush being in your mouth twice a day. It also frays much more easily. I hope there will be a better alternative some day soon!

I don't think other toothbrushes can beat this for eco friendliness. Also, every last piece of packaging went into my compost bin. Old toothbrushes (bristles removed) go into my kindling box for lighting fires. They clean my teeth beautifully, better than my old plastic toothbrushes, and last just as long. I have not encountered a downside and I'm on my 3rd one. Comfy to use. Great value for money multi-pack. You can get ones with different coloured bristles for families. This pack came with 2 gifts - cotton buds, which are ok. And dental floss which unfortunately snapped too easily and got caught in between my teeth. I will never look at plastic toothbrushes again. So what prompted me to search for these in the first place? I had a huge wake up call when I travelled abroad and came across remote beaches heavily polluted with plastics. Toothbrushes featured very prominently alongside plastic straws. I know a huge chunk of the washed up plastic came from the UK originally - Branded products like Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury's, plastic toys saying "Made in the UK"... it was all there, our rubbish, on Christmas Island, about 200 miles south of Indonesia.

I was delighted to discover earlier this year that these bamboo toothbrushes existed. I was really keen to cut down on waste and recycling, but was not entirely sure how they would compare to the medium bristle toothbrushes I used to buy. Although these are perhaps slightly softer I am extremely happy with how they feel and their cleaning effect. The totally recyclable/compostable packaging is brilliant and the used toothbrush can also be disposed of ethically. The original order of 5 brushes lasted as long as my previous toothbrushes would have done and I have now just received my second order. They represent good value for money and I am happy to recommend them.

I bought bamboo cotton buds, which are fine and not pricey, charcoal-infused floss, which works better than the 'plastic' floss I have been using and comes in a small glass phial. The toothbrushes are fine, good design and biodegradable: maybe the bristles are a little bit soft, and I am not sure how I would recycle the nylon bristles. The packaging is thoughtfully designed to be all recyclable or biodegradable. I like these products.

Love love these! Packaged sustainable and biodegradable 2 free gifts floss and bamboo ear buds also biodegradable and so so cute in travel size form. Nice little images on each one to tell the difference. Important bit... they clean my teeth beautifully! They are soft and fine and clean exceptionally well, the best I’ve tried... I would definitely recommend an up and down motion as the bristles are slim enough to get in between your teeth. Also I’ve noticed that my teeth are starting to look whiter after 2 weeks. I also purchased a 2nd pack for my mum as I have her one to try from my orginal order and she loved them ! Slight Pointer .. if you’ve never used bamboo brush before I’d recommend running the entire head of the brush under the tap first (front and back of head) to prevent that kind of ‘lollipop stick effect’ where the texture kinda sticks to inside of your mouth. Once wet 100% doesn’t happen promise ...

I’ve been using these toothbrushes for some time - this is the 3rd pack I’ve bought and there’s only 2 of us! Although I have gifted a couple! It’s a bonus that they were on offer this time. I always go back to Bamboogaloo ( not because I have a few golden(ish) tickets!) because in my experience the brushes are well made. The handle fits nicely and comfortably in my hand and hasn’t gone nasty or soft around the head where it gets wet. The head is a nice size and shape to clean my teeth and I haven’t had any issues with loose bristles. My toothbrushes were delivered in a small box with another item so no single use plastic. Also, I’ve noticed the biodegradable plant based wrapper has changed. Great product, that I intend to keep returning too. Making it easy for everyone to make a small change to help our planet.

Everything is compostable! (Apart from the bristles?) Boxes, brushes, even the wrapping... which is PLA - Polylactic Acid and made from vegetable starch, it breaks down fully in a compost pile within a month. :) (By definition it is a form of plastic but it is not an inorganic petroleum based plastic and is not harmful to the environment. ) This is a repurchase, I really like these brushes. They stay firm longer than plastic brushes and are good for cleaning taps when you're done! And best of all at the very end of their use to me, my little wormkin friends at the bottom of the garden get a treat of tasty bamboo! ;D

In my attempts to go Zero Waste/Plastic-free, I've tried a few different bamboo toothbrush brands. I was excited to receive these today as it looks like the creators have gone to great lengths to, firstly, give us the low-down on bamboo AND bristles (Nylon-4) with full disclosure, and secondly, to ensured that the packaging matches the ethos of sustainability (ie NO plastic in sight... you'd be surprised at how many companies get this wrong). The idea that every piece of plastic I've ever used is still out there somewhere (forever) fills me with such sadness (only 10% of our plastic waste ever gets recycled - look it up)... but making a change now and knowing that I'll contribute considerably less going forward is really exciting. Thanks so much. Quality-wise, the toothbrushes feel really nice, really high-end materials. I'll update this when I've had a chance to use them over a long period.

Ho comprato questo pacchetto prima di trasferirmi per lavoro in un'isola tropicale. Molto contenta della mia scelta in quanto purtroppo i rifiuti sulle spiagge ormai sono ovunque e iniziare a usare prodotti ecosostenibili fa davvero la differenza. Gli spazzolini sono perfetti, morbidi e svolgono le stesse funzioni di quelli normali tranne che non inquinano una volta buttati via! Unica postilla è il filo interdentale che non l'ho trovato abbastanza robusto e quindi ne serve rispettivamente di più di quello classico. Lo consiglio vivamente sia nella vita di tutti i giorni sia per viaggiare.

No soy nueva a los cepillos de bambú y debo decir que este es muy bueno. Al principio las cerdas suaves me parecían extrañas, pero me dejan los dientes súper limpios, sin hacer mucha fuerza. El mango es muy cómodo y se siente de buena calidad. Los bastoncillos y el hilo dental adicionales son un plus. Los dibujos en el mango vienen muy bien para distinguir el cepillo de cada persona. Compra 100% recomendada. Es un producto de buena calidad y a un precio excelente!
