Seemed well made and worked great in front of a wench to flip up. Did not survive a crash but that's not the purpose of this item. Will be ordering another new one for my next Jeep.

The JoyTuTus license plate holder, worked for my application. The bumper design limits the lift of the plate holder, but it does raise high enough for the recovery rope to extract. I saw another user mount it upside down (so the plate holder flips down instead of up), which I may end up doing. The product feels sturdy, and has a decent powder coating. All the hardware was included. I did use blue loctite to hold all the nuts and bolts together. Installation was very easy. Loosen bolts, slide holder into place, tighten bolts, add license plate, show off. Given the various options, and pricing, this seems like the average price for a decent product. I like the 4-points of attachment for the plate; helps secure it and limits rattle. Overall I think it looks good and would recommend.

This had to be installed upside down because of the light bar on my bumper, it wouldn't allow it to roll up. But I think it works better upside down. I've winched several tree trunks with ease and no interference with the foldable license plate. This is a good buy. It's very sturdy and looks amazing. It fit like a glove!

This worked great! I saw one on a Jeep and was immediately confused that they had covered their fairlead until my friend pointed out the hinges. Mind blown!!!!!!! The range of motion is perfect for the application I needed. I had to mount it upside down due to the style of my bumper (inset), but it worked exactly as planned, so I can still have my bumper jokes (the bumper is funny - the brand name is vijay, so I had someone cut some stickers, "jay," so it'll say "vijay jay" in hot pink). I really did not want to cover the brand to mount my front LP because I think I'm hilarious. Loving this solution!!!

Bought new but definitely seems like I was sent the lightly used or whatever that other option is. Product seems goods but hardware came with original packaging but in a plastic food baggie.

Easy install, looks and functions great! Materials seems thick enough for the intended use. Would definitely purchase again.

The finish is smooth and even, and the material seems substantial at .118 (3mm) thick. However, the supplied M6 pivot screws are too short to engage the locking insert of the nuts provided. Lift the plate once or twice, and the screws are loose ! A trip to the hardware store for longer screws and the addition of a .5mm thick nylon washer between the bracket and the plate frame should fix this. UPDATE: I have added a longer screw in 1/4-20 SAE size, a flat washer on each side, a split lock washer under the nut and a self-locking nut - all stainless steel. Also, a .018 (.5mm) thick nylon washer between the bracket and plate frame. This can now be tightened to "snug" allowing the split washer to exert constant pressure on the connection while the lock nut prevents unscrewing. The flat washers and nylon washer prevent chafing of the paint finish as the frame rotates. See photos of short OEM screw, my "fix" and the visual difference between them.

Update: seller contacted me after reading review and gave a full refund. For that reason I’ve increased the stars and would recommend. They also said they’d look into the packaging for future customers. Didn’t come in a box from the manufacturer. Was just in a bag, so Amazon also only put it in a bag. It arrived with a couple of chips in it and it was bent. I bent it back and it bends very easily. The license plate itself is stronger. Comes with little screws for the license plate, but they are too short to use with a frame so I had to buy other screws and it does not come with any bolts to bolt it to the fender. All of this is why I’m only giving it three stars.
