Also see last bullet. * My copy was of good quality, no wrinkled pages, etc. * Yes, if you write with a pen the paper is too thin and will be visible on the other side. You can't have portability and this price point without some give and take. * Looking at customer pictures, there's a chance that Amazon puts a bunch of ESV Bibles in the same bucket across formats. I understand bundling leather or TrueTone, but different Bible sizes should be in different buckets.

This feels like an exceptionally high quality Bible for the money, it is very sturdy and I was impressed with the quality of the TruTone binding and the paper inside. The description did not identify whether this bible had gilt edges and so it was a nice touch to find out that it did upon opening. This is simply the ESV text in a very readable and clear font size/print with the occasional footnote and this level of simplicity was exactly what I was looking for being as I already own the ESV Reformation Study Bible, I would recommend this Bible wholeheartedly.

This is my regular go-to Bible. Just the biblical text and a large enough font making reading easy but compact enough to carry around. I have many English translation Bibles but this is my regular use one. It's an accurate translation, not quite as accurate as the Concordant version but more so than the NIV but it has maintained the best balance between accuracy and readability. When doing serious study I always use several translations along with a concordance, lexicon, dictionary and some commentaries as that's the best way to establish the truth of God's Word.

This Bible is beautiful! It has a lovely feel to the cover also good quality pages . Text size is great and a good concordance at the back. Highly recommend this Bible !

This is the best literal translation for those who want to read the most 'true to the original' Word of God (in English) rather than a committee's interpretation of it

My study Bible is twice as thick and too much to take to service. This one is easier to read but not like the Readers Digest blind-guy versions

Great font size and nice looking Bible

We've had this for a few years now and it's stood up well. Fine, strong pages.

This is a really great Holy Bilbe! The text block is well made. The pages are opaque and it appears to be line match. The printing is large as advertised yet not overly big and it is formatted nicely. It is a full sized Bible; however, it isn't so big that you would have a hard time carrying around. The construction has been done well and the Smyth-sown pages are made to last. Finally, the cover is real nice. Although it is Trutone, it has the look and feel like calfskin and is a pleasure to hold in the hand. Why spend hundreds on premium leather when this Bible is well crafted and affordable. It has become my main Bible and I look forward to using it for some time to come.
