Great Anemometer with Quick, Repeatable Readings!
Admittedly, I've never used any sort of windspeed meter before. This one being my first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been pleasantly surprised. This anemometer works very well and gives quick, repeatable results every time in my experience so far.The build quality seems pretty good, on par with a mid-level brand. I wouldn't expect any problems using this out in the field or for normal applications. For a homeowner or other lighter user, I have no longevity concerns with this product. The screen is easily readable, with good contrast. It's well laid out, providing a lot of information on each screen. I love the telescoping wand on the fan sensor and the included carrying case—super handy addition. The case is a nice hard plastic with foam inlay that will surely keep the device safe from any blunt impact. This is a welcomed inclusion, as many products like this come with only fabric drawstring bags that offer no protection. My only real complaint so far is the buttons—they are made of cheap, soft rubber. At this price point, they could have used a better option here, but that's a small complaint given what this device does. All in all, I do recommend this anemometer to any casual user, homeowner, or professional who isn't using it in the most crucial roles. If you're doing something ultra-serious, I'd probably weigh my options, but for anything else, this one is a great option!

Could be better
The unit itself is very user-friendly and the controls are intuitive. That said it is through batteries and the software is glitchy.

Needs a 90 deg sensor angle
The backlight is a must have feature. The different modes should support most applications. The sensor extension length is minimal and some short people may not be happy with it.The most annoying issue when using it in an HVAC environment is that the sensor isn't hinged on the handle and so measuring air flow from ceiling and floor vents requires an adapter to be used. The other is that the units and smaller text on the display require me to put on my reading glasses. Not sure why the text needs to be that small with such fine lines. I don't have any issue reading my DVM.Using it, it is easy to balance airflow from the different vents in different rooms and areas. Definitely a good value.I was also able to verify that the wind speed being reported by my weather station is off by exactly a factor of 2. Now that I have more accurate sensor data, I'll be in a better position to discuss this with the weather station folks since this seems to be a design bug and not installation related.

Well made instrument
I have another small handheld Anemometer that I bought when I started getting into flying drones. It seemed more like a toy and didn't seem all that accurate. This one is more like a scientific instrument and seems very well made. It is easy to use and understand out of the box however the instructions seem well thought out and are clear with mostly accurate English. The case is a little cheap, but I suspect if you need one of these to use in your daily job or on a professional basis you will need something costing exponentially more than this one. At first I had a hard time extending the telescoping arm for the probe until I realized the wire needs to be able to move freely up the shaft with it, then it worked perfectly, I guess I was holding the wire before I realized that and was fighting myself. I like how you can easily change between different types of readings and units of measure.
