Playmobil 4725 Take Along Soccer Match

My six-year-old son is becoming a little obsessed with football, which I'm pretty pleased with. For Christmas we bought him Ideal Total Action Football which was OK but really not his kind of thing, it was awkward to use. We bought him this Playmobil Take Along Soccer Match for a fantastic price of £16 from Amazon Warehouse Deals and it was delivered the next day with Prime. This was for his 7th birthday in April, but on Saturday afternoon I heard him coming down the stairs all excited as he said he'd got a new football game. "Eh? What was he on about", until he came stumbling in with this holding it in the air like a Chancellor on Budget Day! There goes that secret hiding place at the bottom of the wardrobe! Anyway, what could I do? We had to play with it, didn't we? It was easy to set up and within minutes we were playing each other in a match, much better than the aforementioned Total Action Football. The pitch is great, a velvet kind of feel which reminded me of Striker, the game I used to have as a kid. The "action" of kicking is a little hit and miss, but it's great fun. The only downside is that there are only two outfield players, but I would imagine we'll be getting more teams over the coming months. A brilliant, well-made toy from Playmobil. Highly recommended.

We bought this for our 7 y o son for his birthday. We have really enjoyed playing it. It is a bit like Subutteo, but the players have a leg that can be flicked in order to kick the ball. We made up a few simple rules to play a game: each player (i.e me or my son) takes max of 4 kicks; if the ball touches an opponent the other team gets the ball; each player can be moved just once between kicks; the defending team must be ready - its not incumbent on the kicking team to wait and so on... It has produced a lot of fun and a few hearty disputes! The pitch folds away nicely so can be carried like a case. It comes with two outfield players per side plus a goalkeeper. There are two balls. It has a nice solid feel to it - not flimsy. So I (and my son) would gladly recommend it.

It's just like the old Subbuteo, except, I expect and hope, a lot more tantrum & damage-proof. I bought it for my grandson's 6th birthday, and he's a bit young for it, really. His 8YO sister got into it immediately, and had the manual dexterity needed to play well. Setting it up is easy (the 6YO managed that himself), and it's pretty obvious where all the bits go. All the bits go into the "box", designed as a case made from the pitch, and it takes minimal space when packed. It seems well made, and (although Bruising Conflict between competitors is inevitable because of the nature of the game) a good choice for a rainy weekend. It seems expensive to me, for what it is, but it's well designed and durable, and one of the few toys which, I suspect, will give years of pleasure. I can see it still being used (more skilfully!) 10 years hence

Great toy, easy to put together. My son enjoys playing with it. Only problem is it connects together in the middle, this comes away far to easy, not the same standard as the old Playmobil items from the past.

My 6 year old son was delighted to get this as his birthday present and he's had great fun with it already - so worth the money! Seems sturdy enough, and handy that it can be made into a case that he can carry (might have been easier if there was some way to fold it into the case without having to attach extra bits - but can imagine that it would ruin the "pitch" if you did that!) Very happy with it, and delivered quickly as ever.

I brought this for my 9 year old and he loves it. He enjoys playing matches with his brother who is 5 and he even used some of his birthday money to buy more players. I love the fact that it folds away so does'nt take up too much space. Would recommend.

A fabulous present, easy to set up and sturdy enough for my six year old. Love the fact that it is portable too. A real hit with my little boy and worth every penny.

this game is great fun for the kids (adults to playing with the little terrors) mine are 5 and 9. this game is similar to one i had when i was a kid many moons ago. its well made and is good quick action style type of football game. i would recommend this to anyone.

Mi hijo lo pidió por Reyes y le gusta mucho. Tiene la calidad de siempre de playmobil. No te sientes estafado cuando abres envoltorio, como ocurre con otros juguetes, que son todo marketing. La única pega es que para niños impacientes, les cuesta realmente jugar como se debe, utilizando el sistema de patada al balón de los muñecos, y acaban empujando la pelota con todo el muñeco, pero... ¿qué importa? Lo que cuenta es que le apetece jugar habitualmente y se entretiene un montón.

It does exactly what it was designed to do...kick the ball, save it or get scored on. High quality materials. With parental patience and support you can teach little ones to take turns...one shoots, the other plays keeper, etc., etc. simple and fun!
