DJI For The Win
The media could not be loaded. I am by no means a drone expert, but I've owned my fair share of cheap entry level drones. I finally caved and purchased the DJI Mini 4k. So far I have zero regrets and although there are newer and better units out there in the current market, I didn't want to break the bank. The Mini 4k has met all my expectations as a casual user who wants to record my road trips, camping, hunting, fishing trips, etc.For my needs, I do not need anything fancier than what everything this drone already has to offer. Great 4k video, although there is a bit of lag to the videos, nothing unbearable or bad enough that a little AI can't fix. The gimbal on the camera is rock solid. Even at the beach with high winds the video is very stable. The drone itself is extremely easy fly and I always feel very safe and comfortable controlling it. The battery life is amazing, I can fly and record non-stop video for up to 20+ minutes.Overall, a great drone and a great gadget by DJI.

Good introduction drone, BUT I WISH IT WORKED WITH THE UPGRADED CONTROLLER!!!!
Great for the price! It certainly beats having to jump up $800-$1,000 in price for the next step up. I bought some extra batteries on eBay. I wish the damn remote control was compatible with the upgraded remote control. The remote control is comes with has an insanely TERRIBLE BATTERY LIFE, so make sure you have a power bank that charges at a high wattage quickly, or you're going to not have much time to fly with it.Unfortunately only works with the phone app, which isn't that great. It can lose signal if it goes too far, so having the option to upgrade to the better controller would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! Video quality is good, not great for shooting at night, and no detection for objects around it. The return home feature is pretty accurate, but can be slightly off. Aside from that, it's easy to fly. I like that you can adjust the flight control sticks performance, and it's pretty damn fast! It would be smart of DJI to use controller sticks to improve the flight sticks to be smoother to maneuver, because it kind of just goes full tilt unless you place it down on a surface.Overall, good introduction drone that shoots good footage. NO AUDIO, which I know you could barely hear anything when it's running, but some sort of microphone would be cool.

Top choice despite lacking a few features
The media could not be loaded. This is my very first drone, and honestly, I’m blown away by how much tech is packed into something so small. The DJI Mini 4K makes a great first impression right out of the box—setup is quick, the app walks you through all the basics, and takeoff/landing is almost effortless thanks to the automated controls.Once you’re in the air, it’s clear DJI has designed this to be beginner-friendly, but there’s still quite a learning curve. Flying around casually is pretty easy, but if you’re trying to avoid every branch or wire while keeping your camera framed just right, that’s another story. I’ve clipped a few tree branches already (oops) but the drone has been surprisingly resilient. The pre-programmed flight patterns are handy for getting smooth shots without much effort though there aren’t many to choose from, and I wish there was a way to add more. A follow-me mode and obstacle avoidance would have made this an even stronger choice for newcomers like me. Probably DJI Neo would have been a better choice but I wanted the remote-control.Battery life is about 20 minutes, which feels fair for something in this size/price range. The remote is solid and comfortable to use, and the in-app video editor was an unexpected bonus. It’s actually good enough to polish clips right after a flight. The one-tap edit is very intelligent, but fast and efficient for simple videos. All in all, the DJI Mini 4K is fun, impressive, and a great value for the money. It’s not a perfect “point-and-fly” solution for total beginners, but if you’re willing to practice a little, it’s an exciting entry into the drone world.(Video: Examples from first days of flying—still learning, but you can see how stable it is even with a rookie at the controls!)

Great Drone
This is a fantastic drone. I’m a newbie and found this drone to be easy to set up and fly. It does not have collision avoidance like some of the more expensive drones, but for me and my uses it’s perfect. I got the model that came with the case and extra battery. They are worth the extra dollars and I probably should have bought the fly more pack which adds the charger and another battery. Overall I’m very happy with the quality of the drone, the ease of flight, the quality of the camera, and the smoothness of the gimbal.

Perfect Entry Level Drone
Realistic flight time 23 Minutes in moderate wind. Perfect for hobby flying. Easy to learn. Poor low light camera, but actual 4K resolution in the daylight. Dark Shadows / Night, not so much. If you want the better cameras, you’ve got to spend the money, but for what it is for the price point, it will not disappoint.
