OK I realize my mistake I bought this under the impression that it was a glue if it is a glue is not working for me can someone tell me if it’s a glue

It's a contact adhesive. Put on both parts 2 coats then after dry to touch contact both surfaces

Can I use this to repair the vinyl on a curtain-side trailer?

Hello. You could use it for that repair. It may be a little stiffer than the material on the trailer currently. Depending on the size of the repair you are doing ,you may have to tuck it in when pulling the tarp back. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day.

If the top is vinyl it should. It's a very good patch for the water slide material.
