Holy smokes this thing holds a place in my heart. I tried making homemade falafel, and had beginners luck the first time. Perfect falafel balls that were hand-formed and fried beautifully...but that was it. Never again...everytime I made falafel after that point, they kept crumbling apart, and whatever log I could shape, would dissolve in any kind of frying oil, and barely kept it together being baked. I was at the end of my rope. I spend a ton of time trying to fix the mistake, but ultimately was ready to toss a large batch of mix in the trash. Then this lil' fella arived. Holy smokes...If you struggle at all with falfel, just get this mold. It's small enough to chuck in any drawer and doesn't take much space, it is easy to clean and it's dirt cheap. It makes perfectly formed patties each time. Oh, and it's quick. HOLY SMOKES is it's quick. You just stuff this thing with your mix and then just plop it on out...it's great.

Works just like I had wanted it to. Falafel comes out perfect every time.

It's a cool idea but its heavy and makes the falafals a bit too big

I have to say, I was impressed with the qualify of this falafel mould. I have used 2 different brands, but they were not as good, I have just used it for the first time. You will feel it as you start to load the mould with your falafel mix, that it is sturdy and will allow to finish the job quickly and efficiently . The size is a bit smaller than what I wanted but I still would not complain much about that, as I was able to get the Mould with the quality I wanted. photos in reviews for the falafel I've just made using this Mould. it tasted and looked like the falafel we used to buy, if not even better. I thought the price was reasonable, and I would definitely recommend as I was happy with this purchase.

Loved it really easy to handle and made great falafels

Works the way it is supposed to do; it makes uniform falafel balls. I am concerned about it durably, however. The tab that controls the piston seems to be threaded to the shaft with threads that are not very deep or thick; I am not sure for how long it will take the repeated force of holding it down and springing back up. But then the spring looks pretty fragile; perhaps they will break at the same time. Also, spring is not stainless steel or tin plated, so must be dried by hand after washing. Also there are no use or care instructions whatsoever. Overall nice gadget; does what it is intended to do, but I doubt it will be durable.

This makes a huge difference in the falafel game. After I had made it twice, I purchased this. It results in uniform consistency in the size of each piece. This is quite easy to use and the learning curve to be fast is less than a couple of minutes. If you're looking for a recipe, I recommend McCormick's zataar falafels recipe online. I like to add a cupped palm full of ground black pepper to give it a nice peppery spiciness. (Measured with my heart!) I also bought a Japanese fry pot with a drip tray on top of the lid. I think falafels are the best travel food and like to keep them ready in the freezer.

Good build quality. Spring feels firm and sterdy. Used to make falafel and potsto crockets.

Size of Falafel piece is good. The grade of Stainless steel is not high. When I dismantled the unit for washing, I found some corrosion on the internal cylinder. The spring is a little strong and cause pain to your thumb if you used for more than 10 pieces (the quantity depends from one person to another).

It's working as what's expected to be. Helps speed up your cooking process. It's worth the money. Easily being taken apart for cleaning or washing. The material is quite sturdy and qualified to me.
