An excellent model. Very well designed and manufactured. But great care must be taken when building the engine. Particular attention must be paid to the drawings describing the construction and must be studied very carefully. The cam chain can be a bit tricky but is fine if care is taken. I found that in addition to using candle wax to lubricate it, gently dusting with PTFE powder does make it run a lot smoother. All in all, a very good project which I can recommend.

This is an excellent model to build, quite tricky at times and you have to be careful to get parts oriented correctly. Some sections of the assembly were a little tedious - building the timing chain for example, but the results were worth the effort. Lots of interconnecting parts that need to align correctly and work smoothly together. I’d love to dismantle it and build it again but it would be really difficult to get one or two of them out without damage.

I bought this as a birthday gift. He told me that he enjoyed assembling it although it took a few days. It is remarkable that although made of wood, the engine turns and the pistons and valves can all be seen to work. even the timing chain has all the separate links assembled from wood. The sheets of plywood are accurately laser cut so the parts don't need to be sanded to make them fit. Just a wipe with some candle wax to help the pieces slide.

Good looking model but numerous issues leading to it being a static model rather than motorised. Instructions are very poor and difficult to follow, pistons often jam and cam belt fell apart so often I put a spot of glue on each link to hold it together. Not a patch on ROKR or Roliffe

Great kit. Fiddly and make sure you use plenty of wax. And sand all moving parts. I didn’t and mine seized. Need to re-assemble. Looks good though

This is one of the bigger ugears models. It is impressive one made. It went together with no problem as long as the easy to read instructions are followed. I like the spring motor and overall looks. A brilliant model, although if this is your first one it will be challenging. Ugears are one of the best 3D puzzle companies in my opinion. Very good quality.

The only problem is the chain, it’s not easy to put together and then splits when used with the motor

Great hobby for my dad. This puzzles keeps him busy when the weather outside is no good. I will keep purchasing them for him.

Il prodotto risulta essere molto ben fatto. L'incisione dei vari pezzi è di una precisione assoluta. La costruzione è molto impegnativa ed occorre armarsi di santa pazienza. Alla fine non mi è riuscito di realizzarlo come sarebbe dovuto essere. Purtroppo, il meccanismo non riesce a ruotare, sia per la catena che risulta essere troppo tesa, sia per l'albero motore, di cui una parte mi si è rotta (anche il pezzo di ricambio). Sicuramente prenderò qualche altro modello. Forse ho cominciato da quello più difficile. Update: dopo aver ricevuto i pezzi di ricambio l'ho smontato e ricostruito con maggiore cura. In effetti ora funziona e riesco a farlo girare in maniera soddisfacente. Servizio clienti UGears veramente valido.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem besonderen Geschenk für meinen Freund, der Ingenieur ist und eine große Leidenschaft für Mechanik und technische Herausforderungen hat. Als ich den Bausatz entdeckte, hoffte ich er muss etwas tüfteln und es ist nicht zu langweilig. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.. Für jemanden mit technischem Verständnis ist dieser Bausatz ein absolutes Highlight. Die lasergeschnittenen Holzteile sind professionell hergestellt und die Mechanik funktioniert ohne Kleber o.ä.. Als Laie würde ich schon sagen, dass es anspruchsvolle ist, man ist definitiv nicht innerhalb von einer Stunde fertig. Viele Teile sind sehr klein und präzise. Das Highlight ist natürlich, dass der Motor nach dem Zusammenbau tatsächlich funktioniert! Mir wurde gesagt: „Man kann die Kolbenbewegung und die Kurbelwelle in Aktion sehen, was sehr cool ist.“ :D Die Qualität des Holzes ist gut, und die Teile passen, mit ein bisschen schleifen, sehr gut ineinander. Montagewerkzeug, Schleifpapier und Wachs sind mit dabei. Ich kann den Bausatz nur weiterempfehlen!
