So far so good! These have been installed for several months now and are holding up well and look great. They replaced my old plastic steps that were looking disgusting and growing algae.

We had a kid snap a plastic one and we decided to try this set over the plastic ones. They are way nicer to look at. We are now replacing the other sets with these!

Steps are decent quality. The other reviews talking about the blue film are real. It took me like over 30 min to peal it all off. It is best to take off the end caps and top caps as it makes it easier.

Great quality and feel strong. Should last years.

These steps are not stainless steel they are all ready rusting. My last steps were 24 years old and no rust. I am not a happy camper

Would recommend these to anyone, especially if you live in Florida or a hot state with a lot of sun The plastic steps, get brittle and break

I was attracted to this set of steps since it come with the new bumpers for the pool wall and the stainless steel rings for around the top pool deck surface. Was a bit hesitant since all the review were from people who had been provided the product instead of buying it, but decided to give it a go. The steps themselves seem well made and sturdy, with a good finish, however the plastic tread plates were just pressure fit on short studs into holes on the steps and came loose while I was assembling the steps to the ladder. The tread plates themselves are thick plastic and look like they will hold up, but i had to use silicone adhesive to secure them to the steps. Hopefully they will stay. The bottom bumpers were of no use to me since they are sized for the bottom ends of the ladder to be flared to 1.9" OD just like the top. Since the bottoms on my ladder are not flared they did not fit and I cannot use them. The rings for around the top of the ladder are much more attractive than the plastic rings, but are a loose fit. The OD of the flared top of my ladder in 1.9" and the ID of the rings is about 2.04", so there is about a 5/32" gap when the ring sits to one side. I'll have to see whether these or the old plastic rings look better when I reinstall the ladder. While the extras have not proven to be beneficial, still hope the step will prove to be good. Appreciated having the new hardware come with it.

The stainless step are very nice, not gonna rust and shouldn't degrade after a year of so in the water. But they kinda feel soft a little... like they could bent if a heavy person would step on it.
