The girl of the hour and other young 'uns didn't *not* like them (believe me—they'd have said something): they're just used to mermaids and unicorns so these relatively tasteful party supplies were colorful and abstract enough to appease them but I can use the leftovers for gatherings of grown ups without it looking like I'm using leftovers from a tween girl's party. It's quite a good deal for 100 paper plates (50 large, 50 small), 50 cups and 50 napkins. The larger plates were fine for for my purposes (in this case pizza slices) but I wouldn't use a single one for very heavy fare—double up for a main dish with sides. And the smaller cake plates were perfect for the occasion. The napkins are 2-ply and larger than what you often get in a themed party pack. The only disappointment (mainly for the adults who drink coffee) is the size of the cups: they're 9 oz. as opposed to the standard 12 oz. and aren't meant for hot beverages. You can feel the heat through the paper and the only sleeves I have (which I didn't think to bring) are for larger cups. However, for soft drinks and juice, they're fine. Nobody complained. I'd order this again for a party with sandwiches, pizza, etc. and cake. It doesn't come with utensils, but those are easy enough to ask my sister to bring. Review: Leaky cups - I loved the colors. Leaky cups
I loved the colors. The dinner and dessert plates were great. They held up wonderfully and I served bbq. The cups on the other hand did not hold up so well. They were soaking through and that was without ice. We had to double them.

Great, but a bit expensive for the quality
As you can see from the pictures the plates are the thin kind, the ones you use for cake but not really for food. These are great enough for a class party. Good quantity, strong enough for donuts and pizza.
