Fun for the Family!
Harmonies is a beautiful, thinky little puzzle that’s quickly become a favorite at my table. The production is outstanding—the art is warm and inviting, and the way the wooden pieces stack into a 3D landscape makes the board look fantastic by the end of the game. It really does give you that satisfying “I built something” feeling every time. Gameplay is simple to learn but offers more depth than it first appears. On your turn you’re just drafting pieces and placing them, but trying to line up the different scoring goals (animals, terrain types, and height) gives you plenty to think about without bogging the game down. It hits that sweet spot of being relaxing to play but still engaging for gamers who like a bit of a puzzle. That said, there are a few caveats. Player interaction is pretty minimal; you’re mostly focused on your own board, with only light tension over what others might take from the display. If your group likes direct conflict or heavy strategy, this will feel more like “multiplayer solitaire.” The game can also end faster than you expect, especially once people know what they’re doing, so sometimes it feels like your engine is just starting to hum when the final round hits. Overall, I’d recommend Harmonies if you enjoy nature‑themed games like Cascadia or Azul‑style puzzles, and you want something that looks great on the table and is easy to teach to family and friends. It’s not the most interactive or complex game out there, but as a beautiful, calming, brain‑tickling puzzle, it does its job very well.

Family favorite
I love this game so much! The entire family can play it. The pieces are very heavy cardboard - well made. The resource pieces are painted wood. All of the parts fit so well into the box for storage. The game is straight forward and can be learned quickly. There is enough element of chance to shake up the play a bit so the over planners wont always win. There is also plenty of strategy so play feels purposeful. The game can be leveled up 2 different ways after mastering the basics. What looks like complicated scoring turned put to be very simple thanks to the design of the score cards.

A favorite of our 200+ game collection
Such a great game! The art is beautiful, the packaging is designed really well so pieces don’t fall around while it’s stored, and the pieces are really good quality. The rules are simple so it’s easy to learn quickly and there are three levels of difficulty so there’s a lot of replay value. We played it over 10 times the first week we had it. Definitely earned its super high rating on boardgamegeek. When it’s on sale it’s a fantastic buy!

Beautiful, Simple, Fun
Harmonies does not look like my type of board game. The cover art doesn’t particularly appeal to me. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of nature. But there has been a hype around this particular game, and as such, when I saw a reasonable sale, I picked it up, and man, am I glad I did. Simple enough to easily understand, and complex enough to not be boring, this game is the perfect light/medium game. You collect stones. You place stones. You score points based on the placement. And if you place them correctly enough, you can build a habitat for any of the various creature cards in the game. The artwork is a thing or beauty in and of itself. The pieces themselves look good. The creatures on the cards are cute without being too “cutesy” - they still look like animals, not just cartoons. Rarely does a game leave me constantly wanting to play more, but we could put in an entire evening of 20 minute games and I would still want to keep playing. I really can’t recommend this enough.

Chef’s Kiss to Organizational and Game Design!
The game itself is a work of art, both mechanically and aesthetically, but also logistically. This is one of the fewest board game boxes where ample organization and storage are already provided; the only reason to visit Etsy is to get a whiteboard scoreboard in the distant future when you run out of scoring pages, or animal tokens instead of cubes for more “immersion.” The box and storage features are plenty enough to keep your components and cards tidy without accidentally mixing around if anything comes loose. You can also adjust the storage partitions if necessary, which may be useful should this game get an expansion! Now about the game: it is super easy to teach, learn, and refer to the rulebook for clarifications. The game is a beautifully approachable for all gamers of all experiences (from casuals to hardcore), as it combines tile placement with orientation matching to score points. Players design ecosystems for animals to reside on, and points are awarded (1) based on how many animals are able to habituate your tiles, and (2) the design and organization of your terrain. It is not fully clear who will win until both animals and terrain points are tallied. The cards are “tarot size”, with distinguishable card backs. The tiles are actually quality wooden tokens that are easily distinguishable, and are drawn from a cloth bag during gameplay. Resin cubes represent the critters that reside in their habitats. The material variability makes game setup and retrieval SUPER EASY and TIMELY. The game has a lot of replayability, and this characteristic significantly grows when you become more comfortable with the game and start incorporating the advanced Spirit Animals, which create asynchronous strategies for each player when building terrain. Analysis paralysis may occur, but it is not so complex where players need more than 2 minutes to think/plan their placement. Typical games take around 20-30 minutes, maybe 35 when first learning the game as 2-players.

Fun game to play when waiting
Product came without a plastic shrink wrap but the box was sealed with two circle tape on two edges. Cards were still sealed. Everything seems to be complete. Game was easy to learn and fast paced for a solo game as well. Struggled a bit with scoring as it gets complicated with all the patterns and conditions. Card artwork is vivid and very pretty. Perfect for both cozy and competitive gamers.

Cozy and beautiful
I heard so many people raving about this game, I couldn't resist I love that it can be played solo or up to four people. There are times I want to play games but my family isn't interested at that moment. So, I really appreciate the solo mode. The game is beautiful and great quality. It's replayable with so many different cards to use. It involves some strategy and some luck - hoping the right tokens come out of the bag that will help with the cards you have chosen to build. I strongly recommend this.

Such a delight in both sight and strategy
Harmonies was just what I expected, and some more. It has a simple strategy to both learn and teach, but it does challenge your game plan. Players choose cards, each with patterns to recreate (the habitats of the animals) in their individual board. Points are given for both forming the habitat patterns and by creating certain sequences of the colored tiles. It truly is a beautiful game. The illustrations are engaging, the quality of the materials is fantastic (even the box!) and the replayability is great. I have tried it with two players and in the solo mode and I am more than satisfied with it, I highly, highly recommend it. No doubt that it will become a well-loved and played game in our household; out of the 50ish games we have, I can see myself gravitating towards it quite often. If you enjoy simple games like Azul but want an added challenge in terms of strategy, you might want to consider Harmonies. I gather that it shares a lot in commom with Cascadia, (althogh I have not personally played it!), so if that is your jam, you might enjoy this one as well!

A peaceful and clever strategy game with great production quality
Harmonies is a beautifully designed tile-placement game that blends creativity with strategy. Players draft and place terrain tiles on their personal boards to create habitats and attract animals, scoring points based on how well they match their animal cards. It supports 1 to 4 players, with a satisfying solo mode and an “expert” mode that adds nature spirit cards for extra depth. The game plays in around 30–45 minutes, making it a great choice for a relaxed evening or a quick gaming session. The physical components are excellent. Terrain tokens are made of wood, animal cubes feel substantial, and the artwork by Maëva Da Silva gives the game a dreamy, peaceful vibe. The game strikes a good balance between ease of learning and meaningful decisions, newcomers can pick it up quickly, while more experienced players will appreciate the tactical options around tile placement and card selection. That said, the scoring mechanism can feel a little complex at first, and because space on the board is limited, you really need to plan ahead, which may lead to decision paralysis for some players. Also, in solo play the “market” of tiles and animal cards can stagnate, making the game feel a bit repetitive over time. But for the money it is a great investment. Overall, Harmonies is a lovely mix of calm theme and tactical depth. I recommend it for players who enjoy thoughtful, peaceful games where building your own little world matters almost as much as winning.
