Better than a traditional UPS!
Shown in the photo is a DJI PowerStation working as a UPS to provide protected power to Wi-Fi and PC equipment. I'm using the new DJI product to replace an EcoFlow Delta 2 unit of comparable size (~1024WH), as the DJI product is silent versus the EcoFlow which periodically makes noise when charging. The DJI PowerStation competes against EcoFlow, Jackery, etc. DJI is well-known for drones, cameras and microphones all of which use purpose-built batteries designed to provide the most runtime possible in a cost-effective, small form-factor. This new PowerStation is equally as impressive as the DJI drones! Fit and finish is polished. Specs are better than competitors in the same price range. Outstanding! The new lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology is perfect for portable power when at off-grid locations, works in tandem with solar, wind, generator or other time-based power sources, and is a better mouse trap for uninterruptable power supplies (UPS)! Primary difference between 'common' Lithium Polymer (LiPo aka Lithium-Ion) batteries (used in phones, laptops, etc.) and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries (used in this DJI Power Station) is the number of cycles or charge-discharge occurrences supported. The lower cost and more common LiPo batteries are typically good for 300 ~ 500 cycles, while the LiFePO4 batteries are good for >3000+ cycles. If you cycle the battery once per day, LiPo batteries are good for a year or two, whereas the LiFePO4 batteries are good for ~10 years!!! Note -- LiPo batteries in phones laptops and power-banks are infamous for swelling and getting hot - even catching fire or exploding - while the LiFePO4 batteries are considered much safer (albeit heavier and bulkier). I'm looking forward to more of these LiFePO4 products coming to market and driving prices down, as the technology is far better than what is commonly used in most traditional UPS batteries. Over the next few years it's likely that all UPS manufacturers (e.g., APC, CyberPower, etc.) will offer LiFePO4 products. The DJI PowerStation specs state 20ms switch-over from line power to battery when used as a UPS, while the EcoFlow Delta2 specs state 40ms for switch-over. Both products work great as replacements for traditional UPS, but DJI wins as the quietest product, making no discernable noise when charging. As the price continues to come down over time, I'm installing these PowerStations everywhere I previously used a UPS to protect valuable electronic devices and provide protected power during outages. Love it!

Investment on my future power bills
I have been investing in power banks, so I know what works for me. I did buy one of these power banks a year ago, I love it. Quiet while charging, only takes 45min to 1 hour to charge. I use it to watch my TV during power outages, and during smud mid peak and high peak power rates. I charge overnight to pay the least amount of money for my electricity. It's an investment. No I will not get my money back very soon, but using it this way my bill on electricity will be cheaper. And I don't know when power bank prices will rise. Right now it's at great price. So I now will have 3 of this size power banks to give me 24 hours of continuous power.

Fantastic if your software works and output is okay.
I GIVE THIS MACHINE FIVE STARS FOR ITS POSSIBILITIES. There are severl problems with this power station. If the unit is internally damaged your output will drain obviously too fast and the unit will turn itself off. Then there is the software which won't work. Return that unit, get a refund or contact DJI repair... BUT remember to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR START UP. There is a secondary function on the AC button. One push and it goes into ECO mode where it WILL TURN ITSELF OFF. There should be a sticker on the machine with start up instructions. This AC button has to be pushed a SECOND TIME to be on CONTINUOUS charge. The green light pulsates on ECO mode and is solid on CONTINUOUS. The AC has to be on Continuous in order to update and you should be charged to 100%. This is all important. The Power 1000 has a notoriously low real time total Watt Hours. BUT it will put out mucho wattage. And there's an additional battery to add more watt hours and another 1000 watt capacity. In other words it'll run everything but not for long... If you only use this as a power station, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE. That is mostly for drones and could lock up your Power 1000 so it cannot be charged anymore. DJI software is notoriously difficult and there aren't any fixes. You don't need it. When working normally this unit has a low watt hour tally. So it will drain more quickly than you might like. But it's ability to power large wattage items. was what I was looking for for my power tools. The quicker drain and large wattages capacity is normal for this unit. My Power1000 refused to charge after my software upload. It sits useless... I wouldn't touch their software. But this unit was just fine until their software locked it up.

Reliable power anytime, anywhere ⚡ Peace of mind when you need it most.
I recently used this portable generator and it has been a lifesaver. It provides reliable power during outages and runs smoothly without constant interruptions. The setup was simple and it’s easy to transport when needed. What I like the most is how stable the energy output is—it kept my essential appliances working without any issues. It’s also surprisingly quiet compared to others I’ve used before. Overall, this is a dependable and practical option for home backup power or outdoor use. Definitely a smart investment for peace of mind.

The masochistic power station
Updated the firmware Out of Box (No cable is included). The DJI power 1000 is advertised with a 10ms UPS, this is not true, because it cannot switch over fast enough for any compute equipment and it does not provide clean sine power like our River. In fact it doesnt have a UPS at all, and simply turns off when AC power is interrupted. Dongle purgatory is included at an extra cost. The inverter can run high draw devices; though it is nowhere near as efficient as their competitors, but it does deliver advertised sustained wattage, but at about a 40% conversion rate, the best I could ever get was around ~900wh out of the unit, this is extremely high overhead for lighter loads. And it does not include the standard features that any other system will have out of the box. On the plus side, build quality is great, and it will deliver the full 2200w consistently until drained. For loads <1000w we use our ecoflow devices, and this power station will deliver about 660wh back into them, deliver 440wh with a 20w load, or sustain an 800watt AC unit for ~70-90 minutes; from 100-0%. I don't hate it, but I expected better from DJI. A proprietary SDC adapter to charge DJI batteries at 125w. No Solar input out of box; no 12VDC, firmware delivery via PC app using a cable that is NOT included, bluetooth dongle sold seperately ($25, ships in 5-8 weeks) What the actual incompetence? Type C can deliver 240w; SDC is scammy, scummy, and underhanded marketing. 2x140w type C ports are included, however, and the DC-DC delivery is impeccably efficient! Idle power usage is 30watts, that's where the missing 200-300 expected watt hours go, add an additional 20% DC-AC conversion; makes this singlehandedly the least efficient device on the market. Our River 3 Plus, outlasts this DJI unit by greater than 5 hours with any load under 100 watts, but the DJI will power heavy equipment, whereas the X-Boost feature from EF is blatant false advertising and does literally nothing. Solar is a nightmare, the proprietary charge controller won't handle any real input, despite the cost inefficiency, I expect it to fry as soon as I hook up one panel to each controller, to attempt to get the advertised solar charging input of 800w, which can ONLY feasibly be accomplished with 2 panels and 2 controllers, limited to 1 panel per controller. But any real panel will fry the unit with a 20v 13A limit... so perhaps I can find a non-standard, portable panel, that will fit the unrealistic specifications set forth by DJI to "force/coerce" consumer compliance, by starting the consumer on fire if they attempt any normal solar setup. By comparison, the EF river was as easy as converting MC4-XT60 and plugging it in, the EF's Built-In charge controller outperforms DJI's add on controller by a long shot. Accepting up to 50V, with a HyperVOC safety cut off, and supporting up to 30A. Update: after 6 months of limited usage, the unit constantly overheats and produces errors, bootlooping and refusing to charge in any ambient temperature above 80F; which is guaranteed to cause the unit to fail. Our River 3 was tested in the same environment and artificially heated to 140F before shutting down charging, it continued to provide power to connected devices; the river 3 plus did not shut down, limit charging, or fail to operate even at 160F ambient temperature. These units should be recalled and replaced, its like living with a bomb. TL;DR 1 year update: As the loudest, heaviest, most awkward and cumbersome 1k unit I own, the only thing it has ever done consistently is fail to operate. DJI refuses to acknowledge their faulty product; it's so bad they released a V2 with the same issues! Video added.

DJI Power 1000 Review: The Ultimate Power Hub for Creators
As a filmmaker and photographer who spends as much time in the field as in the studio, a reliable power source isn't just a convenience—it's a necessity. I've been through my share of portable power stations, and when DJI, a brand synonymous with professional-grade gear, announced the Power 1000, I was intrigued. After several months of use on everything from remote shoots to camping trips, I can confidently say this isn't just another power station; it's a game-changer designed with the modern creator in mind. First Impressions: Built Like a Tank, Designed with Purpose Unboxing the DJI Power 1000 feels like unboxing a piece of professional equipment. It has a substantial, rugged feel without being overly heavy (it's 13.2 lbs / 6 kg). The design is classic DJI: sleek, minimalist, and finished in a dark, utilitarian grey. The carry handle is robust and ergonomic, making it surprisingly portable for its 1024Wh capacity. Everything from the responsive touchscreen to the satisfying click of the ports communicates quality. The Core Experience: Power and Performance This is where the DJI Power 1000 truly shines. · Blazing-Fast Charging: The headline feature is the 1000W AC input. Using the included adapter, I can fully recharge this unit from 0% to 100% in just 70 minutes. This is a monumental leap over competitors that can take 6-8 hours. For back-to-back shooting days, this feature alone is worth the price of admission. · Massive 1024Wh Capacity: In practical terms, this capacity is incredibly generous. On a single charge, I've been able to: · Recharge a DJI Mini 4 Pro (battery plus hub) over 15 times. · Power a 100W video light for nearly 8 hours. · Run a MacBook Pro 16" for a full workday and then some. · Keep a DJI RS 3 Pro gimbal, monitor, and camera powered simultaneously on set. · Pure Sine Wave AC Outputs: With two 2200W (surge 4400W) AC outlets, it can handle demanding professional equipment like powerful lights, small soldering irons, or even a coffee maker without breaking a sweat. The pure sine wave ensures sensitive electronics like cameras and computers are safe. · Versatile Port Selection: It has every port you could need: · 2x USB-C (140W Max): Perfect for fast-charging modern laptops like MacBook Pros. · 2x USB-A (18W): For older accessories, LED panels, or phone trickle-charging. · 2x DC5521 (100W Max): Useful for specialized gear or older portable monitors. · Car Port: Standard for 12V devices. Standout Features for Creators · UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Function: This is a professional-grade feature. In "UPS Mode," the Power 1000 can switch to battery power in milliseconds during a blackout. I use it to protect my editing workstation, ensuring no lost work during a power flicker. It's also perfect for live-streaming setups. · DJI Power Station App: The companion app allows you to monitor battery levels, control outputs, and update firmware right from your phone. It’s simple, intuitive, and very DJI. Real-World Use Cases: 1. On-Location Video Shoot: We powered two LED panels, a laptop for dailies, and kept all our camera and gimbal batteries charging. It was the silent, fume-free heart of our operation, replacing a noisy gas generator. 2. Weekend Camping Trip: It effortlessly powered a mini-fridge, strung up some fairy lights, and kept all our devices charged. The peace and quiet were a welcome contrast to a generator. 3. Home Backup: During a brief power outage, it kept our Wi-Fi router, a lamp, and a phone charged, making a potentially frustrating situation a non-event. The Pros: · Incredibly Fast Recharge Time: The 70-minute full charge is industry-leading. · High-Wattage AC Outputs: Handles powerful professional equipment with ease. · Robust Build Quality: Feels like it can withstand the rigors of travel. · Crucial UPS Function: A must-have for critical power applications. · Excellent 140W USB-C PD: Future-proofs it for high-power laptops and devices. The Cons: · Premium Price Point: This is a high-end product with a price to match. It's an investment. · Weight: At 13.2 lbs, it's portable, but you feel its heft. It's not something you'd casually toss into a backpack for a long hike. · No Wireless Charging: A minor nitpick, but given the premium nature, a Qi wireless charging pad on top would have been the cherry on top. Final Verdict: The DJI Power 1000 isn't trying to be everything to everyone. It’s a precision tool engineered for users who demand reliability, speed, and clean power for their professional and passion gear. Who is this for? · Photographers & Videographers on location. · Content Creators & Live-Streamers needing a reliable UPS. · Outdoor Enthusiasts who camp with electric coolers or other appliances. · Tech-Savvy Home Users looking for a premium backup power solution. Who might skip it? · Those on a tight budget or who only need occasional power for small devices. · Backpackers who need ultralight gear (look at smaller power banks). The Bottom Line: The DJI Power 1000 justifies its price with unparalleled recharge speed, robust power delivery, and professional features like the UPS function. It has seamlessly integrated into my workflow and outdoor life, eliminating "power anxiety" for good. If your livelihood or passion depends on reliable electricity away from an outlet, this is the power station to buy. It earns its five-star rating.

A Powerbank for the DJI Ecosystem.
DJI ultimately contracted me after I expressed my dissatisfaction with the first version of the Power 1000 units and offered me a full refund. I’m altering my rating to reflect the units standing in the market. The Power 1000 is as good as any of the other battery power units currently on the market…for that I would award three stars. If you factor in the DJI ecosystem (drones, etc.) and utilize the units in that environment, it is potentially worth an additional star…for a total of four stars. I maintain that the dongles for WiFi connectivity should be included at no additional charge. As with the purchase of any expensive electronics product, do your research and read the reviews…like this one.

A Perfect Portable Power Solution - Fast, Durable, and Powerful!
I am incredibly impressed with the DJI Power 1000 V2. This power station has become an essential piece of gear for my outdoor adventures and home backup needs. First off, the shipping was lightning fast. I ordered it and it arrived in just two days, which was a fantastic start. As for the product itself, it has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is outstanding. It feels solid and durable in hand, exactly what you'd expect from a brand like DJI. It's clear it can handle being tossed in the car or taken on a camping trip without any issues. Performance is where it really shines. I've used it to power my mini-fridge during a brief outage, charge my drone batteries multiple times in the field, and even run a small projector for a backyard movie night. The power output is clean and stable, and the battery life is excellent. It held a charge for weeks when I wasn't using it, which is a huge plus. The screen is intuitive and provides all the necessary information at a glance. The ports are well-placed and cover all the basics. In short, if you're looking for a reliable, well-built, and high-performing portable power station, the DJI Power 1000 V2 is an excellent choice. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
