Noble Collection - Harry Potter - Hermione's Time Turner

I already have a keychain of this (the Wizarding World one) that I use as a keychain, though would work as a necklace. It is larger, but less detailed, and has a plastic center instead of glass. If you want a durable Time Turner that you can wear whenever, that is the route I'd go. That being said, I have coveted this official one for years and with my Christmas Amazon Gift Card I finally got it. It is smaller than I expected, though if I'd read the specs closer I'd have known. I think it is closer to the movie size (can't remember offhand the size). The details are all really nice, which is why I wanted it (the keychain one is very nice, but it doesn't have the same level of details). The box is also great, and I keep it in that. I'm not sure if I'll ever really wear it for fear of it breaking, as I see many low ratings are because it has broken. It is a collectible and made of glass, so only so much of the blame can go to the manufacturers. It isn't intended for hard wear. The chain is fairly short, so I don't think it would be easy to bang it against anything (I have the 2013 one, not the old one - that one may have had a longer chain, I don't know though). Overall, for a collectible it is fine and I am very happy with it. It is very pretty and nicely detailed. I don't have issues with the quality that some people have (I saw some people saying it was very cheaply made and so on), but then I think that may be people wanting to wear it as jewelry regularly. I plan to keep it in the case, so visually it looks great. Even physically the construction is nice. The only 'issue' I had with it was the writing is painted on or something instead of an imprinted or carved like in the movie. Not sure the font is the same I remember from the movie, either, but it has been a while since I've seen it, so that may just be my memory. Aside from that, I have no problems with it.

Really good quality novelty item for HP fans. Nice display stand, reasonably good axis bearing for smooth turning movement. Quality-wise this is much better than those 10$ chinese knockoffs you see on other sites.

I have only started purchasing from the Noble Collection, and I would say that their officially licensed replicas are the best craftsmanship/price in the market. I am not one that is easily convinced, since I scrutinize and am very particular with the quality and craftsmanship of everything I buy. Believe me, I have shopped around!! There is no comparison for the quality of their items. Their price is worth the item, and their customer service is old school - prompt and courteous!! The Time Turner is of collectible quality, and is also wearable. I don't think that the glass is as fragile as it used to be, because mine was just fine after using it a few times.. I wasn't being too careful with it (meaning, I didn't wear it while doing sports activities, etc). I would believe their claim of it being gold plated since my skin is very sensitive, and I never itched while wearing it (as I usually would have, had I been wearing any typical fashion jewelry) So far, I am pleased with this piece and would recommend it to any fan who likes collecting things that is of excellent quality, and is reasonably priced. The box is a gorgeous house for the actual piece, and the actual time turner is a stunning collectible piece.

According to the story, its illegal to possess a time turner, so I'm denying having it right now. I'm also denying that it is very beautiful and that I'm completely happy with this purchase. I adore...oops I don't adore the little display case it came with.......just completely unacceptable that this time turner is so beautiful.......I will of course keep denying I have it, and I will continue to enjoy it where it sits on display in my home (don't tell anyone I just said that.)

This piece from the Noble Collection is a very nice replica of the one shown in the Harry Potter Movie's. I bought this for myself, I am 21, and have been a Harry Potter fan since I read the first book back in 5th grade. But, I have nothing to show for my being a fan, and it occured to me that all the movies have neat gadgets and magical pieces in them, which got me wondering where i could find a nice collectible or myself. I found this piece, which has great reviews, and is neat because, depending on how comfortable you are sharing your crazy about harry potter personality, you can actually wear it yourself. I'm not 10 years old anymore, and I can't get away with carrying around a wand as much as I used to be able to, but this piece I can wear and enjoy. It just arrived in the mail today, and it seems very sturdy, but as other reviews have said, I don't think this version would be a good toy for younger children. (I don't really understand why any parent would let their children play with a collectable in the first place, you wouldn't let them throw around your signed champoinship baseball, would you? (It's kind of like that.) It is made of a nice lieghtwieght metal, the white-gold color is beautiful, and it turns very well, and moves as shown in the movie. I was a little dissapointed with the star cut-out in my piece, they look sloppily cut-out, and the smaller stars are just imprints that look like they forgot to be cut-out. But unless your inspecting it thuroughly you wouldn't be able to tell. The words are nicely painted, mine has just a tiny bit of a pant drip on it. Doesn't look bad. I have seen a lot of complaints about the glass breaking, you have to wear this as if it is glass... which IT IS. don't bang it on things, or smack it against anything, take care of it and i will stay in good shape, just like anything else. I also see a lot of complaints about the box, I think it is nice, it is not real wood, and people need to realize that the reason this item costs so much, is because it is labeled a movie replica, and you are buying the Harry Potter name. if it were real nice metal, and a real tick wood display case, plus the Harry Potter name, you'd be looking in the hundreds... this is a fairly decent price, for a very nice replica. I would recommend this to any older/ teenage Harry Potter fan, to wear or to display, but not to play with as a toy.

Okay, this is something every Harry Potter fan needs, a lot of people are saying that it breaks easily and things like that, but it's really how you use it. The little knobs at the side do turn the rings in the middle, but they also unscrew the entire system if turned a certain way. Another thing is, the way you turn them will either tighten the device to the point of not being able to turn and the rings will stay ridged too, or they will loosen the device and make the rings turn similar to the movie, but, the device comes apart. It really is more of a decoration piece but I have worn it out without any problems, it's fun to have and show off, but you can't really expect to use it as a fidgeting tool because the device will either come apart, or not move at all. I suggest keeping the rings tight and just wearing it like a charm, this way you can still enjoy wearing it but the necklace won't break. The box is nice, it's obviously a little less of a value than it could be but honestly, it's still really nice. Even the ugliest of materials can look nice if used in the right way, people need to remember that sometimes.

I purchased Hermione's Time-Turner and recently received it in the mail. I was hesitant about this item due to comments from other buyers who complained that the item was not durable and in fact fell apart readily. Buyers said that the knobs on the side of the time-turner fell off--and this is not true. They seem, actually, to be screwed in quite tightly, even after spinning and turning, and I would probably require someone strong or a tool to break them. The time-turner itself cannot be described accurately as a toy, however--it is more akin to jewelry or a collectible. I feel that a cautious child could handle this item, but would recommend it generally for older kids, teens, and adults. The glass on the hourglass is not as fragile as others have described either, and seems sturdy, considering it's glass and not plastic. Again, I wouldn't play sports or go swimming while wearing this, but it isn't flimsy. The only thing that could have been better designed with this time-turner was the hourglass and the time frame it takes for the sand to pass through. Considering the side of the hourglass and that it was built for looks, it makes some sense. Even despite this, while watching the sand fall when the hourglass is slightly tilted, it is still mesmerizing. I am 18 years old and I thoroughly enjoy this piece.

Very pretty but only lasted half a day. I bought a new one, only to have it get smashed again.
