Mine came with this awfully horrible chemical stank, any idea on how to remove, or am I going to have to return them??

The smell is non stoppable, the shoes are cute but have a very strong intense odor like a very strong weed smell, I soaked those shoes time after time in washing detergent, but the smell remained the same. Also I had to keep the shoes tied very tightly in a bag to prevent the smell from stinking up the closet, the smell is not gonna go away at all, I kept those shoes about 3 weeks then decided to throw them away because I couldn’t bare the smell any longer. So definitely return them because the smell is imbedded in those shoes and is not going away. Hope this helps.
