A worthwhile upgrade.
Probably the best headphones I've ever bought I was skeptical about buying them at first because I've never been one to spend much on headphones or earphones I mean aslong as I can hear the music who cares, but these have changed my opinion they are super comfy very easy to adjust, connecting them was super easy plus they stay connected I haven't had problems with them breaking connection the entire time I've been using them, the battery life is really good I have used them for around 8 hours straight toggling the NC/AMB I've found that NC mode drains the battery quicker although this is my go to mode just to relax, AMB mode I use everyday things such as going shopping so I can be aware of my surroundings. Using them for phone calls is pretty straightforward the microphone picks up audio really well. The ULT button is where they truly shine choosing what type of Bass you want is awesome slamming BFMV and choosing between the different modes is a game changer I really can't praise them enough the audio is clear and a full charge can last half the day Combined with the sound connect app by Sony honestly just a great pair of headphones. They come with a hardshell carry case two cables one a jack lead the other a charging cable, the other thing to mention is the right headphone is also a touch panel simple swipe left to right to change track or up and down for the volume double tap to pause double tap again to resume. Really cool feature is putting your hand over the right headphone mutes the music your listening to to hear when someone is talking to you simply remove and it starts again. Bought these at £114 I can say it's a worthwhile investment with the quality they provide it's a definite upgrade and one im glad that I chose 🤟.

Best Headphones I have owned.
These Sony ULT Wear headphones are on a different level. The deep bass is powerful without muddying the rest of the sound, and the overall clarity is incredible. The noise cancelling is excellent too, cutting out background noise so you can fully sink into the music. I also appreciate being able to hear background audio while listening to music so I can have a conversation at the same time. Another useful addition is the ability to semi mute audio by pressing your palm against the right ear. They’re comfortable for long sessions, the battery life is strong and the call quality is clean. Everything feels premium and well tuned. Easily the best headphones Ive owned, and it shows in every part of the experience.

Things to be mindful of.
These Sony Ult wears were quite an upgrade from my JBL tune 770nc especially the build quality as even though both the shells of the two headphones were made out of plastic the Sony ult wears did seem more premium, on top of that the sound quality sounded leaps better, I tested it on the Amazon music app and Apple Music and managed to hear a difference, which may have been due to the overall Eq of both apps but the difference was quite obvious. My only con with the headphones is in regard to my phone as I use an iPhone so the headphones upscaled premium audio isn’t able to be heard unless I connect it to my android, so do keep in mind if you are a bit of an audiophile I would recommend AirPods. The comfort is quite praise worthy as well as I’m able to wear it on my head for a few hours such as 6 hours straight without feeling much pressure. The noise cancellation is quite good, not as good as more premium Sony headphones but for the price of the headphones they are useful and the battery life is the standard 30h with noise cancelling on at least in my experience with them.

There Is No Such Thing As Too Much Bass.....
....is what my brother and I used to say growing up going to blues and dances halls. Bass at blues and dance halls in East London we would expect the speakers to rearrange our internal organs. We would expect the speakers to be vibrating with bass before so low we could not hear it. Well, the Sony Ult Wear speakers have too much bass. For the first time ever for a pair of headphones I have said 'That Is Too Much Bass'. I have Soundcore Liberty 4 NC's (x4) and the Sony Ult Wears are better. I have the Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro's and the Sony Ult Wears are better. I have the Soundcore Space One and the Sony Ult Wears are better. I have the Soundcore Space One Pro and the Sony Ult Wears are better. I have the Beats Studio Pros and the Sony Ult Wears are much better. I have the Beats Studio 3 (X2) and the Sony Ult Wears are better. I have the Beats Studio 2 (X5) and they are on the same level as the Sony Ult Wears. The Sony Ult Wears don't just produce a lot of bass. They do bring forward the mids and treble after tinkering with the many EQ settings, LDAC, DSEE, Clear Bass, etc. It takes time setting up the sweet spot. My test tunes come out as they should on the Sony Ult Wears. Unravel by Bjork is delivered perfectly with the vocals and bass reproduced perfectly. Resolution of the Godzilla Minus One Soundtrack builds in volume and complexity and reaches a majestic crescendo towards the end. It's Happening Again by Agnes Obel mellifluous and haunting and delivered perfectly. A new (old) test tune of mine is My Heart WIll Go On by Celine Dion in CD quality and LDAC - when she sings 'You're Here' at the 3:25 mark your headphones or sound systems needs to be able to reproduce that so that it cleans the earwax out of you ears - and the Sony Ult Wears do just that and are almost painful if I play it too loud - no distortion - just Celine at her cheesiest best. Venus As A Boy - bass and vocals balanced and soulful. Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo - vocals are perfectly produced when tuned correctly. On the Nature Of Daylight on the Arrival Soundtrack is a hard piece to reproduce properly - it has a rumbling bass line that is deep in the background that lesser speakers I have fail to produce at all - I presume the frequency is too low for those devices but with the Sony Ult Wears it is there as it should be. I have tried the ULT1 and ULT2 settings and most of the time the ULT1 setting is just about right. But depending on what I am playing it is too much bass so I have to dial it back. The bass does not distort it just gets thumping and loud and uncomfortable - as it should be if I want it to. These are headphones for bass lovers.. Audiophiles will most likely prefer the constrained and restricted sound of say the Beats Studio Pros or Airpod Max's. Well, I don't as these so called high end headphones are far too narrow and dull for me. I like, my headphones to be able to produce controlled extreme bass and treble and this is what the Sony Ult Wears and my other favourite headphones do. I like to be in control of it and not have it controlled for me by the manufacturer. I got the Sony Ult Wears with a big discount of £98.10 here at Amazon using a 10% discount voucher on an already discounted price. An absolute bargain. The first set I ordered I did not get as the courier must have stolen them - he said that he delivered them to a resident at my house at a time when I was not in and my 2 CCTV cameras had nothing for the time he said he delivered them - I hope Amazon fire that thief. So I got a refund that very same day and ordered again but changed the destination to the local post office and I got them the second time. Great service from Amazon - just need to employ some more trust worthy couriers... The Sony Ult Wears are comfortable to wear. I have had them on for a few hours now and it's like they are not there. The ANC is quite brilliant as I cannot hear anything in my office with my various computers whirring in the background. One thing that is new to me is the touch controls on the right hand ear pad. These do work for me though I did get it stuck with Google Assistant reading through my notifications which I had to wait for it to finish for about 90 seconds before my music started playing again. But doing the volume and moving backwards and forwards in the tracks and pausing and playing work. One thing that I had to disable was the Adaptive Sound Control as it was adjusting the sound as I was walking about trying to figure out what environment I was in. I'll come back to this again when I get more used to the app which is quite comprehensive. I tested the transparency mode by putting the palm of hand over the right earcup and the voice of my other half was totally natural. It did not sound processed at all - it sounded like the headphones were not there at all. I had to figure out how to get it in LDAC mode as there is not a setting in the app for it as far as I can tell. I had to change it in my Bluetooth settings. Not everybody will know how to do this so it should be made clearer. But as this is the first time I am using this Sony app for headphones it might just be me. I have not had them long enough to test the battery life but it seems to be o.k. 10% of battery usage after about 90 minutes. So the Sony Ult Wears are on a par with my trusty Beats Studio 2.0's. This means that they are equal best headphones I have ever owned. So what I will do is buy a few more Sony Ult Wears in the different colours in the next few months in future sales so that I can use each one sparingly and have them lasting a decade at least - this is what I am doing with my Beats Studio 2.0's which all work fine after nearly 9 years. So I am in it for the long run with the Sony Ult Wears. Bravo, Sony. Bravo. Update 07/01 Had my ULT wears for a little while now and it is sounding looser and less tight as the drivers are run in which is great. Battery life is at 59% from when I first charged it so looks good in the long term as I am using LDAC codec and ANC all the time. Bass is still too fierce. Also, I tried the 3.5mm audio jack from my old Sony NW-A45 and was surprised at the sound quality using this method. On all of my other Bluetooth headphones connecting this way usually results in below par and quiet sound quality but not with the ULT Wears. Update 25/02. Bought the Grey and Black versions today at a discounted price of £118 each and am running them in to loosen up the drivers so that they sound exactly like my Off White pair. All going good so far. I think I prefer the look of the black ones the most. So between the 3 of them I reckon I'll get at least 9/10 years out of them. Update 03/03 Couple of useful tips. 1) Use the Safe Listening activity in the Sound Connect App to make sure you don't damage your hearing. What it does it takes how loud you have listen to stuff over a week to see whether you are causing long term damage to your hearing. Some of the SoundCore headphones I have have something similar but this is a much better implementation. 2) When raising or lowering the volume using the touchpad on the right headphone swipe up from the middle and hold your finger in position to keep on raising the volume and release when you get to the desired volume. Swipe down to reduce volume and hold to keep reducing - thought I'd mention this as a YouTube reviewer of the Sony Ult Wears complained that he had to swipe up and down many times to raise or reduce the volume - no need - just hold. And the instructions on how to do this are not exactly clear on the Sony website.

GET THESE HEADPHONES IF YOU LOVE SOUND LOL XD
Got these a week or so back and they are one of the best purchases I have made. The sound of my music is crisp, clear and the bass is perfect for my heavier taste in music. They are also great for listening to podcasts, audiobooks, orchestral music, ambient noise tracks and honestly everything else. Definitely very versatile for lots of different kinds of sounds. I haven't got to use the microphone for anything major yet so I can't say much on the quality but it does work with my phone's Google Assistant really well and definitely responds much more consistently with the commands which is definitely very cool and convenient. The noise canceling feature is honestly really weird if you haven't used it before like me because it cuts out so much noise. It was kind of an interesting experience and was honestly super cool when I finally got used to the effect. When I have been out in a super busy place and there are noises everywhere, the noise canceling is super effective and everything is made super quiet in comparison to when I am not wearing the headphones. I am mildly autistic so that is something important to me. I must say though, if you are in a location where it might be a little quieter and you would usually hear individual voices, you can still hear them a little bit with the noise canceling on but they are rendered into a quiet whisper which I personally quite like too. With music on, you are in a completely different world and the noise canceling just makes the music the sole thing you can hear, even in the busiest of places. There is also a feature to hear your surroundings whilst still wearing the headphones. The feature actually amplifies the sound just a little bit extra so you can still listen to music and have a conversation or listen to something without having to take the headphones off. This really is great for quiet places that you want to fill with a little sound like a little cafe, a library or a museum. The feature does have a limit to the sound level it can pass through so for autistic me, that’s amazing to know in case I accidentally turn them on while the feature is still active. The fit is really comfortable too, even for my slightly larger head which has made buying headphones a pain in the past. With my autism too, the fit of the headphones can make or break my opinion of them, even if the sound is pretty good. They are not heavy at all and they don’t feel awkward on my head or ears which is something I have definitely struggled with before with other brands. They sit really well and don't shift about or move at all once they are on and adjusted correctly. It's honestly super satisfying to finally have a set of headphones that I can wear for hours and not have a headache or sore spots afterwards. The battery life is unbelievably long for what I expected. They advertise 30 hours of battery life and I was sceptical of the claim as other brands and models have underperformed with their claimed battery life but I've frequently got way over the 30 hours that are claimed. I've used them almost everyday since I got them and for hours on end and they have been super reliable and consistent with how long I can use them before having to even consider charging them. There is also a quick check feature on how much charge the headphones have and I am always shocked to hear that I have way more charge left than I expect. I am quite clumsy so I have been worried that I’d damage them really quickly but they haven't got a mark on them yet, even after dropping them a couple times already. They definitely feel super robust and sturdy and they don't feel like they are going to break anytime soon. I truly have to praise them for being able to tolerate my ability to break or damage stuff within hours or days of having them. Pricewise, I thought it wasn’t going to be worth it because I usually go for cheaper brands and models but these caught my eye and I thought I might give them a try out and I am not disappointed with the quality of these headphones I got. They are truly phenomenal and well worth the price. 10/10 - Would highly recommend them to everyone.

I totally recommend them if you're looking for an upgrade!
Seriously, these headphones are amazing! I just got the latest over-ear ones and the sound quality totally blew me away. They give you such a rich and immersive audio experience. Besides the sound, the features are super easy to use, making them a joy every day. The build quality is awesome; you can really feel how well-made they are. Connectivity is good and the mobile app for settings is great, I'm also impressed with how durable they seem, like they'll last through all my travels and workouts. Honestly, they've gone beyond what I expected and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and they fit perfectly. Great value for the money. I totally recommend them if you're looking for an upgrade!

Sony ultra
Great set of headphones , I have most of Sonys , these headphones are for the extra bass if required ( I like them when I am listening to rock )but you don’t have to have them bass heavy ! but like all Sony headphones not great sound out of box but when you set them up on the app ! They are brilliant! Comfortable to wear ! Noise cancelling is good , as with some of the other Sonys they have touch sensitive touch control on the right side swipe up / down for volume , swipe, forward next track , back swipe for previous track. pause hold finger on cup seri / Alexa , press hold speak ! . Can’t comment on call reception as not had a call while wearing ! The Set I purchased called grey green ! I would call it fern green ! They fold into a nice case for protection ( included ). So yes would recommend them

Amazing listening experience!
These things are awesome! I love heavy bass in my music. I originally bought the skull candy crushers. The bass of the skull candy crushers is amazing and more than I had hoped for. They are intense to say the least. However they have the haptic feedback where it physically vibrates on your head which gets old. These Sony ult wear don't have as much bass as the skull candy crushers but the sound clarity and quality is much better. The bass is sufficient to satisfy my bass cravings when I need it. And these are much more comfortable to wear. The noise cancelling is also very impressive! I didn't know what I had been missing out on wearing cheap headphones and ear buds for all of my life. The listening experience on these is phenomenal. I keep finding myself reaching for these every chance I get to immerse myself into an amazing listening experience. Couldn't be happier with my purchase! The skull candy crushers are getting returned.

Best headphones for bass-lovers
After reading lots of reviews, I bought this headphone and started with tweaking the equalizer. I join other reviewers in advising nót to use the build-in sound profiles. My perfect setting is some Clear-bass en enhancing upper mids and high. It left me speechless, I’ve never experienced a better sound. The bass is absolutely fabulous, even my Audezes can’t beat them. And nó muffled sound at all. Crisp and clear with beautiful deep basses. The other features are great, it all works flawlessly. And after hours of listening i don’t even notice them on my head: lightweight and just enough pressure on the ears to keep them in place when I’m moving around. And then the price of all this beautiful piece of technology: just under €100!!!. They have the same level of perfection as my Samsung buds live (beans) in-ears: another hidden gem. (Paid €50 for them). I own multiple in-and over-ear headphones, most of them far more expensive. These are simply the best, and i don’t understand why its so difficult to find them. I stumbled over them reading a review of open-ear headphones, the reviewer mentioned them aside as his favourites for bass-heavy music. Just buy these beauties, spent time to tweak the sound signature and you will ábsolutely not regret your purchase. And about the problems with broken hinges: Sony expanded the guarantee period for the series that were affected. When you register your set, you can find out which serial numbers were affected. Sony has addressed the problem and solved it for later series.
