these are so much better than the knipex ones. I have 2 sets of the knipex. they're a lot longer but the tops of the VDE handle are smaller, smoother and slide in and out of pockets and pouches way easier. I still have a set of knipex non VDE ones I keep in my small service bag as a set of these are too big

Does the job as well as more expensive ones. Good combination of functions for stripping and cutting cables. Crimping function a little awkward. Easy to use and has useful reaming edges on tips.

Outstanding tool, being an electrician this is a god send! Usually only being this & a couple screwdrivers in for a quick job as it’s got everything you need, as for the cutting it’s incredibly sharp, cuts through 25mm tails with ease, even tried it with 4mm armoured and cut through the entire thing with ease! Would definitely recommend!!

Top quality! Saves me carrying snips, pliers and wire strippers separately.

First impressions were very good....nice finish, well made solid pivot point and accurate machining. This will do it all....crop cables up to 12mm2, strip .7, 1.5 and 2.5mm cable, reach into tight spaces, pull cables without damaging them, grip hard when required, crimp bootlace ferrules, cut pattress screws, bend loops, clean and ream knockouts etc. I was initially disappointed to discover that these are not made in Germany, but rather Vietnam....however, they are so good and useful that I will overlook that minor gripe....they seem every bit as useful and well- made as their Knipex rivals.

Great tool. Knocked one star off as the screw cutter is for 3.3mm screws where as uk standard is 3.5mm. I drilled it out with a hss bit and it does the job fine.

Top Werkzeug für - vermutlich - vor allem den ambitionierten Heimwerker, der anstelle vieler Werkzeuge gerne auch nur eines benutzt, dann aber in sehr guter Qualität. Der Profi wird die Vielseitigkeit auf kleinstem Raum (Gürtel) schätzen. Die WIHA 8in1 liegt sehr gut in der Hand. - Der Federmechanismus zum automatischen (Halb-)Öffnen der Zange ist so genial wie einfach. Grosses Lob! - Die Zange ist superscharf beim Kabelschnitt (vgl Foto) und quetscht fast überhaupt nichts. Das Ergebnis ist absolut top. - Für den Kabelschnitt ist überraschend wenig Kraft vonnöten ….. sie schneidet durch das PVC und die Kupferadern wie ein scharfes Messer durch ein zartes Filet (getestet mit NYM Kabeln und „normalen“ dreiadrigen Haushaltsstromkabeln) - Das Crimpen von Aderendhülsen funktioniert gut und die Hülsen sitzen bombenfest (gecrimpt mit 1,5mm Durchmesser Kupferkabel (Litzen & feste Leiter) und den dazu passenden Hülsen) - Das Entgraten von Kunststoffverteilerdosen funktioniert gut (ein paar Umdrehungen sind notwendig) - Ebenso das Kappen von Nägeln oder Schrauben (habe es mit einem Bildernagel getestet - problemlos) - Abmanteln und abisolieren funktionieren perfekt (Getestet mit 8mm Kabeln und 1,5mm Leitern (Litzen und Solide) - Die Griffe liegen gut in der Hand Einziger Minuspunkt, der mit aufgefallen ist: Im Vergleich zu meinen Knipex Zangen wirkt die Verchromung ein wenig schwächlich ….. wer die 8in1 regelmässig benutzt, wird allerdings keinerlei Auswirkungen merken. Wer die Zange im feuchten Kellerraum lagert, sollte sie einmal im Jahr mit Ballistol leicht einsprühen und wird dann auch keine Rostflecken bekommen. Wäre ich Elektriker: die hätte ich immer dabei! Tolles Multifunktionswerkzeug, sieht sogar noch gut aus und ist ein Handschmeichler - die würde ich immer wieder kaufen. Klare 5 Sterne - Empfehlung!
