Batteries included
Really easy to install and everything you need is included. It came with the batteries, which was probably the best part—no running around looking for the right ones. All the mounting hardware was there, installation only took a few minutes, and it worked perfectly right out of the box. Great value and definitely recommend it.

Works great so far!
So far so good! These were super easy to install and they are LOUD. I couldn't believe the sound they emit. I hope I don't accidentally set them off while cooking.

Green light attracts insects
We recently replaced all our old Kidde smoke detectors with these. Then we started getting false alarms in the middle of the night. It took three separate nights before I figured out that it was the green light that was attracting bugs. One time there was a circle of tiny black bugs surrounding the alarm-- they were so tiny they had come through the screen in the window. I fixed the problem by putting a square of electrical tape over all the lights, and so far it hasn't happened again.

Installed in March, In the Trash in July
Installed in March, in the trash in July. Experienced the same problem as other reviews mention: three short beeps for no reason. Changing batteries does not solve the problem. Nothing stops the needless, meaningless chirps. It’s great for 3 1/2 months, then garbage!!
