A genuinely useful treadmill for helping my grandfather stay active every day
I bought this Redliro walking treadmill primarily to help my grandfather incorporate more walking into his daily routine, and so far it has been a very worthwhile purchase. The biggest positive for us isn't a flashy feature or a complicated technologyโitโs that he is actually using it consistently. Before having a treadmill at home, getting regular walking into his day could be difficult. Weather, motivation, and simply having to go somewhere to walk can all become obstacles. Having the treadmill available at home has made walking much easier to turn into a daily habit. He has been walking on it every day, and he says he feels better as a result. For me, that is probably the most important measure of whether this purchase was worthwhile. > What I like most The handrails are particularly valuable for my grandfather. Having something to hold onto gives him additional confidence while walking, which makes the treadmill feel much more approachable than a basic walking pad without substantial support. For an older family member, that sense of security can make a real difference in whether they feel comfortable using exercise equipment independently. I also like the idea of having a dedicated walking machine at home rather than relying on outdoor conditions. It means he can get some walking in as part of his normal day without having to plan an outing around it. That convenience has made it much easier for him to stay consistent. > The biggest benefit has been consistency There is a tendency with exercise equipment to focus on specifications, but in our case the most meaningful feature is simply that my grandfather is using it regularly. A piece of equipment can have impressive specifications, but if it sits unused, it isn't accomplishing much. This treadmill has actually become something he uses as part of his everyday routine. Seeing him get up and walk every day, and hearing him say that he feels better, makes the purchase feel worthwhile. I also think having the treadmill visible and readily available helps remove some of the mental friction around exercise. He doesn't have to get dressed for an outdoor walk, travel somewhere, or wait for ideal weather. The option to walk is right there whenever it fits into his day. > Why I think it is especially useful for an older family member For someone older, I think accessibility and confidence can be just as important as exercise itself. The handrails provide something substantial to hold while walking, and having the machine at home makes regular activity much more convenient. That doesn't mean I would treat this as a substitute for medical advice or supervision when someone has significant mobility or balance concerns. We still pay attention to how my grandfather is feeling and make sure he uses it appropriately. But as a convenient way to encourage regular walking, it has been a positive addition to his routine. > One thing I appreciate about the purchase The best part is that this hasn't felt like one of those exercise products that gets used enthusiastically for a few days and then forgotten. My grandfather has continued walking on it every day. That continued use is a much stronger endorsement from our family than simply being impressed by the product when it arrived. It's also encouraging to see the psychological side of it. Having a simple way to be active has given him something productive to do each day, and he reports feeling better after making walking part of his routine. > Overall < I'm happy with this purchase because it has accomplished what we wanted it to accomplish: **it has helped my grandfather walk every day and become more active at home, and he feels better doing it.** For our family, that practical benefit outweighs everything else. If you're considering this treadmill for an older family member, I'd focus less on whether it has every possible feature and more on whether the person will feel comfortable using it and whether having it at home will make regular walking easier. In our experience, it has. Overall, a very useful addition to my grandfather's daily routine and a purchase I'm glad we made.

Perfect for rehabilitation/seniors
Perfect size, compact. starts at .5 mph, padded bars easy to hold, backlit display is easy to read. Used for stroke rehabilitation. User is 5'8 and feels safe. That was important because she was scared on the Nordictrac we have due to a start speed of 1 mph and the short, fat handles were hard for her to wrap her hands around. Easy to assemble. Been using it for 2 months with no issues. Only thing it lacks is foldability. If you need to store it under a bed, it needs to be taken apart. The deck lifts up but it is so you can set the manual incline. The frame remains on the floor and side bars dont fold. Its light enough to move around easily and has rollers so we just scoot it in the corner if we want to use the space. Very happy with this. Low price. Delivered fast. Would recommend

I'ts exactly what I wanted!!
Affordable, quiet, virtually ready to use out of the box (screw viewing/ control panel & railings together). Light weight. Handrail controls well placed & easier to use while walking than panel controls. Speed increments up or down of .1mph.. starts at .5mph up to 5.5mph. Very smooth transitioning. Lit panel easy to read especially in an unlit room or in front of tv or window. Fast delivery. It does have a slightly shorter & narrower walking area but I've adjusted my walking stride so I don't hit the front of machine or slip off the back of machine compared to my old compact treadmill or the huge apartment weight room treadmill. My pace is 2.0 to 2.5mph. 3.0 to 5.5mph would be running for me @ 72yrs old. I feel very safe & steady with railings on at all times due to balance problems which is why I bought this particular machine. I have had it a few weeks & am very happy with it.. you can't go wrong with it especially if you don't have a lot if space or live in an apartment. No special hours to use or not use. Get on for a few minutes at the speed you like or need anytime you want as often as you like.. no lines waiting to use!! Has 12 programs if you feel adventurise. Enjoy.

Best treadmill I ever purchased
This treadmill is definitely worth buying. It is very easy to assemble. The handrails are a plus for seniors! The speed and walk belt are adequate for any adult. I really like the way it is compact enough to fit in any room. Also easy maintenance when adding oil to the walk belt. Overall, I would highly recommend this treadmill!

For someone with ackes and pains the rails are indispencibal.
The treadmill and the info screen works flawless . The rails add a sense of stability at a faster pace and the control buttons on the rails are a nice convince.

Easy to assemble, quiet, and sturdy
Perfect for seniors! The arm rails a long and easy to grab. The machine is quiet and has plenty of speed settings. I am hoping this will help my mom get some movement in while watching TV. Overall it feels sturdy and will hold the weight of a heavier person.

Can walk on it, but don't expect the pulse monitor to work properly.
Easy assembly. Handrail height is not comfortable (a bit short) for my 5'5" frame. My walking is between 2-2.7 mph, and treadmill is good for that speed range. Pulse monitor is NOT functional!!! It is 15-25+ beats off. Made contact with company and they denied it at first, then admitted it could have happened in transport. They offered no solution to the issue, and felt the deviation was acceptable, when it's totally useless (for a heart attack survivor), and one of the reasons I choose this model. I had hoped that Redliro would have sent the parts to correct the problem but they completely dropped the ball. I then called Amazon, to return the treadmill, and Rima was careful to listen to all of my concerns and offered several options to satisfy the situation. (Rima was great and even helped to calm me!) Note: Prior to my purchase, the product details had no mention of a malfunctioning pulse monitor, yet "after" my written complaint, the description now has a question added, with a response that some customers said the pulse feature doesn't work or is not reliable. I would not recommend this Redliro treadmill!
