Budget enclosure that looks aesthetically pleasing . It was incredibly easy to put together, if you are not a handy type of person then it will be difficult. I suggest screwing in the hindges on the outside. There is some minor gaping that can be fixed with a wood stabler. You need a good screwdriver , one that is manual automatic rotation instead of one you have to manually twist with your wrist.

Update: day 2 they figured a way to get out!! I now have a mice in my house! I think they squeezed out through the wire mesh on top. Gave it a 1 star because I couldn't go lower. The cage had 1 job and failed! At least it looks pretty sitting unused in my empty ferret cage.... Pros: Good concept but poorly executed Cons: Cheap wood, cracks and splits easily. Very lightweight so chewers will chew through it in no time. Hinges came attached but were put on crooked. Lid has no latch to secure in place. Some pieces came split already from pre-drilling in China. Water bottle holder hole was so small no bottle would fit! Instructions were horrible!! I would love to see this in a better wood

This is the best hamster cage ever. Our hamster got out of every other cage we tried. We were getting discouraged because our hamster got out and got stuck in the walls of our house on multiple occassions. It is really difficult to get them out of the walls and sometimes they get hurt. This is the safest cage. She cant chew through it. It is easy to clean and she has lots of room to explore. Very happy with this product!

It was pretty and made of wood and the bottom opens for easy clean up. That’s as good as it got. I ignored all of the negative reviews and purchased it anyway. Big Mistake! Assembly: I had to watch a YouTube video to learn how to put it together. The instructions were useless. Some of the wood was cracked along the sides. If you have no knowledge how to create holes using a power drill before putting the actual screws in you’ll split the wood. It doesn’t come with hinges to lock the top. It freely opens. So you’ll have to purchase and install the latches yourself. The extra shelves inside are pretty but dangerous. My hamster climbed it and fell off so I had to take them out. Even after removing them you still can’t remove the other more permanent wood pieces inside, so your hamster will use them to get to the top and chew on the lid. This cage is far far far too small for a Syrian hamster. I’m hind replace it with a tank soon.

I really like this cage, but not because it was "easy to assemble" or because it's "chew proof". It's neither of those. It's made out of wood, so if you have a hamster or another critter that likes to chew, this probably isn't the cage for you. It also has no holes for the screws so I just used nails to put it together. It's a perfect for my two mice, and they don't chew it so that's not a problem for me. Also, if it was me, I would consider hinging the smaller window to the bigger window and then nailing or screwing the smaller window in place on the bottom so that the bigger window opens instead of the smaller one. I did it like it was supposed to be, and I just find lots of bedding falling out and making it harder to close the window once opened. I hope that makes sense lol...

It’s perfect for my little furry friend!

I wanted a habitat not a cage. I believe cages are inhuman and very difficult to customize. I like the endless possibilities that this habitat can be arranged in. On the first floor, I added deep bedding for tunnels , rocks, sand baths, toys and a house. I also attached table legs to the structure. I plan on adding other things. It is wood 🪵 and even thought I provide my hamster with plenty of chewable toys, I’m not sure if he will chew on the walls or interior of the habitat. I wish it had a tray for better cleaning. I’m happy with how it turned out. I suggest using a drill for faster assembling.

This is the most cheaply created product for an animal that I have ever used. The directions are diagrams that hardly tell you how to put this thing together. There is no real lock, the glass is shaky and the handle doesn’t fit. There is no place to put the water bottle and it’s not chew proof. All the pieces don’t fit together and one of the platforms are broken. I will be returning this as it is a hazard.
