What country is it "grown" in?

I recently contacted Nutracost on their website form to submit my question as to where this organic spirulina powder is grown. I have been buying this for years and for some reason I thought it was made in the US/grown from research I did back then. Below is the answer I got from the company note they could have listed the countries instead of saying all around the world cuz most companies do that anyway I'm sure they're not getting it from Iran so they could leave that out. I recently bought some garlic that was organic powder and that company responded India, Mexico and some other countries that did not include China. Now that they've raised their price from when I first started buying it at $19.99 to over $28 I will be looking elsewhere for a more reputable company that lists all the countries that they purchase it from or at least could have given me the last country they purchased from. I buy other products from Nutricost and will be looking elsewhere also. E supplements is the seller of this product and when somebody specifically asked if it was from China they said it wasn't from China and could have answered honestly but they decided not to. These companies can answer in the q&a but the manufacturer does not do this makes me concerned. So hopefully this will help all the people that are constantly answering this question and I went through all the pages of questions and answers and none of this was on there. Lizzie (Nutricost)

They source the best ingredients from reputable sources from all over the world including the USA. All ingredients are always first tested by independent 3rd party, ISO-accredited laboratories before being used and then the final product also undergoes testing by 3rd party, ISO-accredited laboratories as well. There is a satisfaction guarantee. Also, Nutricost has all of their products independently tested by a third party company to insure quality, purity and that it's contaminate free. Each batch is tested before being released.
