Long but detailed review - hope it helps! I was VERY VERY VERY skeptical about this product. Let's be honest, it looks like a kids paint set! To my shock and surprise - it is the best affordable set ever!! The colours are absolutely stunning and vibrant. The first 2 images are some colours tested on 2 different textured watercolour papers at 300gsm and the 3rd image is the test I did on textured 160gsm sketch paper and I used a lot of water and only one dip onto the colour for all of the tests - one for each shape. The lighter colours like the lightest/brightest pink, blue and green need more than one dip of the paint but that is to be expected. The colours are almost, if not 100%, identical to the official named colours on expensive branded paints so that's a huge plus! I was also expecting this item to be small (didn't check the measurements), but it's quite big. Length is like an A4 paper and the width is like an A5 paper. In case you need help with measurements like me. The brush it comes with looks terrible but it's actually not so bad. It's useful for fine details or small art projects. The bristles are good enough to produce something pretty. The cover broke as I opened it which is a bit of a shame but it's not something to fuss about because the product itself is worth every penny paid and more! It is safe to say, this will be the only product I will using for my watercolour art! This paint set is perfect for beginners and professionals alike! Don't be intimidated by the branded stuff! They all come from the same factories... For the best paper, I would recommend ARTISTIK watercolour paper/pad. I've tried many but this is the one I found best and they have affordable single items and deals! The paper in the first 2 images are from this brand, each sheet is doubled sided with different textures and the textures are not extremely rough but not soft either.

I was surprised by the quality of these brushes. Lovely fine points and easy to use. The blank refillable brush is particularly useful and I find myself mostly using it with a simple hard-block water-colour palette. Simply squeezing the brush to release more water when needed makes for very quick and simple painting. Great for working outdoors as I don't need to take a water just - just a cloth for wiping.

The brushes that seem to work best with these paints are the waterbrush brushes. The paint doesnt need priming so they're easy to use and they're really pretty colours that seem of reasonable quality. U don't get much paint in each well, so I will be ordering these on subscribe & save, but they are inexpensive so I don't see it as a problem. They're also very easy to store and travel with.

Lots of colour choice and excellent brush with the set. My grandchildren liked the fact they could mix colours in the pockets at the top of the pack. Larger than I thought and quite robust.

Fab colour palette shame they’re so shallow

I wasn’t expecting much for the price but there is a good selection of colours even if there’s very little paint. Unfortunately, as soon as you add any water to the individual pans, the surface collapses and there’s nothing underneath! Possibly enough paint to load the brush maybe once.
