This impressive piece of kit is Scanner Angel compatible; once connected to your computer it updates the scanners memory with any animal reported missing on the scanner angel database, Petlog or DogLost. So when you scan an animal that has been reported lost or stolen, the device will notify you immediately, helping you reunite the animal with its rightful owner. The Halo can now read Biotherm Microchips. The scanner is available with a handy case (random colour will be selected of of blue, black, white, green, or red) complete with a USB lead for charging the scanner’s internal rechargeable battery, car charger and a CD for installing the scanner drivers and Scanner Angel Software. (Please note, the software will need to be installed before plugging the scanner into a computer for charging and is only available for Windows.) Fab item which works well and is easy to use
Fab item which works well and is easy to use. It also reads the thermo chips. Easy to download scanner angel updates which allows you to detect if the animal has been reported lost or stolen. It is quite robust and the animals accept it easily.One tip if you want a specific colour case be sure to put a note on your order as we assumed we would get a blue one with the blue scanner however a green one arrived as they are assigned randomly. This was quickly sorted out by the seller and they sent out the blue one. Great customer service and speedy delivery.

Value scanner for pets.
Easy to handle and operate.Takes ages to charge and doesn't seem to hold the charge for very long so if you need to use it quickly, you tend to get a low battery message.

Useful on a Smallholding for reading EIDs
I bought this to see if it would be of use on my smallholding for identifying sheep, The official readers cost 100s. Well it works well; although it only reads one at a time it makes checking ids so much easier. Would be fantastic if a bit of software was available to list perhaps 20 or so scans

Fantastic bit of kit
Fantastic bit of kit we had a litter of GSD puppies and identified them but quick release different coloured colliers but once they were 6 weeks old and chipped they got more boisterous and collars kept coming off. We had deposits on the pups so needed a way of positive identification the scanner was perfect strong out of the box.

Fantastic
Wanted it for scanning horses, did exactly what I wanted it to do. Great price, fantastic item which is so easy to use and to be honest it picks up the microchip in seconds. I didn't expect this to be as good as it is, highly recommend.

A perfect and handy tool.
It does the job perfectly. Since I don't live in UK, I don't need the "Angel" part of the software, but would have liked to download it. McAfee warned me that downloading it was dangerous, so I didn't do it, though Micro-ID reassured me it was safe.

Great scanner
Easy to use, picks up chips easily from a distance. Very pleased with this reader!
