Great car safe. I wasn't sure about the biometrics but it works great! Follow directions. I bought a heavier cable and filed the upper half cable slot only to fit a 5/16 inch dia coated cable for better security. Make it so the rubber coating on the cable gets stuck in the upper slot so it doesn't fall out every time you open the safe. The lower slot was already fine. Fits my M&P 9 Shield Plus with IWB holster easily.

NOT RECOMMENDED. This thing worked fine for about 3 weeks then when I was ready to deploy and needed to open it, it would just flash purple then blink red 5 times. The fingerprints and codes were right, the lock simply stopped opening. It was like it was trying, but the lock was just frozen shut. Lost all faith in the product and company after that. Had to go home to find the backup key, so it completely and utterly failed its purpose. Buy this at your own risk. You might think you're saving money over other brands, but this thing definitely failed on me, and I fear it may fail on you in your time of need. If it didn't completely destroy my confidence, it would have been a very nice portable safe. Very strong thick metal build, spacious enough for a large full-sized pistol like a 1911, though that is not what I was using it for. And the fingerprint reader seemed to be quick and reliable. The locking mechanism, though, made all that fancy tech into a dumb physical key ONLY box. AVOID. USE ANY OTHER SAFE, NOT THIS ONE.

Was needing a sleek design to take my firearms in my checked baggage at the airport, it is all approved and the part that drew me in the most is that it is not TSA locks but other locks which is what is recommended when traveling through state lines with a firearm at the airport

Update, 2/23/26 - I’ve had the replacement now for over ten days, it works great. I’m glad the seller reached out as this safe was the perfect size for my space. Docked a star for the original issue but I would recommend this product to friends. Update, 2/8/26 - Seller reached out to send a replacement or a refund. I opted for replacement hoping I get one that works. Will update my review again once received. Junk! You get what you pay for. Worked for 1 day. Changed out 2 sets of brand new batteries and same outcome. Last thing you want is a surprise and your safe won’t open when you need it to open.

These are excellent quality biometric safes.

The first one I ordered, was missing the entire mounting kit and had to return it. I reordered another one and I’m a little confused with the setup. I’m having difficulties setting up the fingerprints and code after inserting the batteries. I’ve tried to reset the original code to program my own with no luck. I think I’ve followed the instructions in the booklet. And the pre-set code only opens sometimes. For now, I’m mainly using the keys to open and close it. I do like that it has a light inside but, other than that I’m not sure about this safe. I may return this one as well if I can’t program the code and fingerprint.

Very poor safe quality just received it and after setting it up noticed that when I moved the safe and set it down it literally opened up without me unlocking it. Again this happened when I was still messing with it. You have to slam the lid for it to fully latch and also the biometrics is sub par.
