Easy, comfortable and effective solution for GERD reflux.
I love it! It works as well as the bed risers without the inconvenience of different bed heights. It is soft and comfortable but supportive. I don’t have to worry about sliding off a wedge pillow. It is shipped compressed so you do have to wait a more than a day for it to decompress. It is not too heavy to move even for one person. The size/fit was perfect. I still tend to slide down a bit on my bed, which was the same as with the bed risers, but it does not change its effectiveness. Great value for the money! I will never go back to bed risers again. I feel much more secure in bed now.

No more sleeping like a human taco
If you've ever woken up in the middle of the night with your throat on fire and questioned your life choices (and dinner), you're not alone. I’ve been battling nighttime GERD for years and tried everything, including one of those fancy adjustable beds. Spoiler: great in theory, but not if you're a side sleeper who hates feeling like you’re folded into a human taco. Sleeping bent at the waist? Nope. Trapped on my back? Also nope. Slowly turning into my recliner-hunched in-laws? Hard pass. I stumbled across the idea of a mattress wedge, and I had a “where-have-you-been-all-my-acid-filled-life” moment. I saw a more expensive one online, came to Amazon like the deal-hunting gremlin I am, and found this gem. I got the twin-size version since we have a split king, and my reflux-free husband can still sleep flat like a pancake. Our bed looks mildly ridiculous now (picture one half elevated like a launch pad) but it works. Setup was easy. The wedge puffed up in under an hour, and the smell was basically “new foam” scented, which is to say barely there unless you sniff it on purpose (and why would you?). The first night on it felt a little odd, like sleeping on a gentle ramp, but I didn’t hate it. And when I woke up without the usual throat lava, I knew this thing was magic. No regurgitation, no 3 a.m. date with the Tums bottle. I slept on my side with proper spinal alignment and no strange toppers between me and my beloved mattress. Bonus: I can still use my adjustable base to raise the head of my bed to sit up and read, so now I get incline options on top of the incline. A month in, I barely notice the wedge. But I do notice I haven’t had any regurgitation episodes since I started using it, and I’m not being slowly converted into a recliner zombie. Seriously, if you’re a side sleeper with reflux, get this. Your throat and your back will thank you.

Bad news
It took me 6 weeks to off-gas the unhealthy and nasty toxic fumes of the foam in my spare room, with the window open and fan on. Don't let anyone tell you it's just an unpleasant scent. It's toxic to anyone that breathes. Now that I can actually put it in my bed I see that it's WAY too soft, so put in under my mattress and now it's made the whole thing too soft and is killing my back to sleep on it. And now after about 2 weeks of sleeping on it the side I'm sleeping on is lower than the other side. It's too late to return it and it actually cost me more than it's advertised for now. It's a total fail, sorry to say.. I'm going to buy an adjustable bed frame so that I can raise the head of the bed up. Boo.

Works for me
I bought this 5" pad for bppv and put it on top of my mattress. Pro: It is comfortable and rather than using a stack of pillows, I now am back to using my side sleeping pillow. Haven't had a bppv episode since using it. Feel like I am sleeping better. Con: Does raise height of bed. Pad slips down toward feet about 3" in about 2 to 3 days. I slip down a bit too, to lower edge of my pillow. It is worth it to me to keep this pad and just pull it up towards head of bed when needed. My top bed mattress is very heavy and thick. I think if I want a pad for under the mattress that the 7" might be better.

These really do work! Consider only a full length, and no less than 5".
I was really skeptical about the need for an incline bed wedge when someone recommended it. But they REALLY DO work- whether it's for occasional indigestion or GERT, there's no doubt about it. A few really important things to consider: 1) Get the full length wedge because anything shorter will put your legs or your back (stomach vs back sleepers) at a bad angle. 2) Put it under the mattress. Your mattress is almost always better for your back than a piece of foam. 3) Get at least a 5"- they will compress over time- if you're on the lighter side, then a 4-5" will work. If you're over 200lbs, consider a 7". 4) You will get used to the angle in less than 2 weeks...yes, even for that ; )

Perfect for GERD + Acid Reflux
My GERD has recently dipped down worse again after being lazy with it the last few years and I have a likely hiatal hernia + acid reflux. Back in the day when I was trying harder I used those bed risers and lifted the top half of my bed. But this likely puts strain on your bed frame. I was lucky back then because it was a solid wood bed frame. They don’t make stuff like they used to so I knew my Amazon bed frame was not about to survive that treatment. I found these foam mattress wedges and I knew they were the right call. I have a THICK Original Mattress Factory mattress. I got the 7” one and I’m so glad I did. It raises you up just right. I have it underneath my mattress so it stays completely clean. Will you slide down a little when you use these? Yeah maybe. If you raise the head of your bed with risers you’ll also slide down. But it’s not crazy. Just depends how much you move around at night honestly. I was also happy that it didn’t have much of a smell when opening it up. Just that fresh foam smell. It’s also true to size for my Queen bed. Sits right inside the frame area and doesn’t overhang. It was weirdly easy to install even with my heavy mattress and I was by myself. Had to use some elbow grease but I made it happen. Great bang for your buck and it doesn’t harm the integrity of your bed frame or mattress which I love.

More like a slip n' slide
The wedge is comfortable, sturdy, and it keeps me cool at night (unlike my mattress that makes me wake up sweaty every morning). Yet, the biggest issue I have with this wedge is it slips all over from me getting in and off the bed! Even right after I centered the wedge over my bed it would start sliding off and at an angle. It got so bad that I bought velcro strips to keep it in place. Guess what: it's still moving, but not nearly as much as it did... but still extremely annoying for when I have a guest over of a certain variety. I still snore loudly, and I think it helps me a tiny bit with my acid reflux.

Excellent product but would be better if they showed metric measurements
Excellent product but would be better if they showed metric measurements. I converted the inch things into metric and then chose the option closest to my double Emma mattress. Once it arrived I opened it and left it for 48 hours to fully expand. Fits well under my mattress and I am very happy with it.

Fits Australian Queen Size Perfectly
I bought the 7" Queen size. It arrived all compressed and so I left it in a ventilated spare room to decompress for 48 hours as instructed. It does have a chemical smell but it wasn't too bad. And I'm sensitive to chemicals and fumes. I placed it under my mattress and it fits perfectly. The shipping was expensive but still cheaper overall than buying an equivalent product locally. I'm sleeping better and overall I'm glad I purchased it.

Buen producto

The full size is perfect for UK double bed.
Works well for me. I would recommend the 5in over the 7in as it is a lot higher than you would think, the 7in was out of stock when I ordered, glad it was as the 5in is plenty high enough for me. The full size is perfect for UK double bed.

Great for acid reflux
This really helps with acid reflux. It might be a bit on the soft side, but that's going to be your preference. I also have a wedge pillow, but I always found that the wedge pillow caused back problems when sleeping. Going full body for the wedge is the way to go. Keeps everything straight.
