Hold my pole!
These rod holders are awesome! Hands down best ones we have found. My husband ordered the first set and let me just say...we have literally used them everywhere! On our pond prowler, on rails (round or squared) and even on the bed of our truck. They hold little crappie poles, bass poles, and bigger catfish poles! So easy to mount and secure tightly on and take back off. Being able to rotate them in any direction is such a nice feature. I like that you can either just sit the pole in there or securely lock your pole in.. ya know, for those times when you haven't had a bite in FOREVER and you finally get busy doing something else, and BAM! get a bite.. lol I can promise, if its locked in that pole is not going anywhere! Needless to say, we loved these rod holders so much, we bought a second set! Very happy with this item!!

Works well and appears to be very strong. No idea what the clip at the front would be used for.
