The software and remote are worth the cost!
I got it working with an Amazon tablet, though I had to install the google play store to get it to load the software (thats a Amazon tablet issue). Now for almost dirt cheap money I have a dedicated teleprompter since on sale the Amazon tablets are really cheap. This unit is designed for a DSLR type camera, but I found using it for an iPhone, that I simply put the iPhone on a tripod with the lens 3 or 4 feet away from my face and then I backed the teleprompter up on another tripod about 9 or 10 feet away and I have to look just over the iphone lens to see the teleprompter. Magic in that my eyes are no longer moving right to left. You really need to get the teleprompter far enough away otherwise you can see your eyes reading it. If I had a big lens DSLR I could do it all in one. But this works brilliant for me. The remote linked to the teleprompter software is amazing!!! Two issues: 1. I haven't figured out how to hold the table on the bracket securely. Its rests there, but I'll have to use rubber bands or velcro. 2. The software is actually decent. I use dropbox to send files to the teleprompter. The only issue is you can't make the margins on the left or right larger so you get a narrower strip of text. Though I moved it far away and solved the issue. Plus at that focal length I don't need reading glasses.

Great Teleprompter
This teleprompter is a great tool for content creation or informative videos. The set up was easy and quick. The video quality is good it displays your script on your cellphone or tablet and it has a remote control in which you can control the speed and accuracy of your script. The screen provides great picture quality with very good reflection and the tray holder on the front allows you to place your mobile device directly in front of the camera lens so it doesn't look like the person is reading. The hood covers your camera lens well and it keeps the light from coming in. The teleprompter frame and base is Aluminum which makes it sturdy and strong and it has lots of adjustments from the height to the size of the device holder tray. However, I should mention that depending on your camera set up you will probably need a good video tripod that can hold the weight around 15 to 17 lbs. Otherwise you can go through what I went through that my camera set up was leaning forward due to the weight of the rig. Neewer has a very good affordable video tripod that does a great job holding the weight of the teleprompter and camera set up with ease. That's my recommendation, but overall this teleprompter is a great product. I highly recommend it. 👍

Game-Changer for Video Content Creators
The NEEWER X12B Teleprompter has seriously upgraded my content workflow. It’s super easy to set up—no tools or assembly required, just unfold and start. The liftable aluminum frame feels sturdy and professional, and the 12" glass is crisp and very readable, even under bright lights. It works flawlessly with my DSLR and my iPad, and the included remote + app make it easy to control the script flow. I’ve used it for online lessons, Instagram videos, and live streams—and it delivers every time. I'll be showing how I integrate this into my content setup over on Instagram @eriktaveras, so check it out if you want to see it in action. If you're a content creator, teacher, or live streamer—this is a must-have.

Good Quality Teleprompter, but the Remote Failed Too Quickly
The teleprompter itself is sturdy, clear, and well-built, but the remote control stopped working after light use. Buyers should be aware and consider having a backup option. Review The build quality of this teleprompter is quite good. The aluminum frame feels stable, and overall the setup looks professional. The glass is clear, and the text is easy to read. However, the head of the teleprompter is noticeably heavy. When using a tablet, the front weight sometimes makes the entire unit feel like it could tip forward. The legs can handle it, but you definitely notice the imbalance. Assembly is simple, and the product works well for recording lessons, reels, and tutorials. For creators who need a clean workflow, it’s a helpful tool. I filmed 10 lessons for my course using this teleprompter, and everything went smoothly until the remote control suddenly stopped responding. The issue wasn’t the battery; we replaced it several times. The remote powers on and shows a blue indicator light, but the internal chip seems to have failed because it no longer communicates with the device at all. This was incredibly disappointing, especially because the teleprompter itself works well. Having the remote fail so early completely interrupted my workflow and forced me to pause filming reels and other content. For the price, I expected more reliability or at least a second backup remote included in the kit. If you plan to use this teleprompter for consistent recording, be prepared that the remote may not be dependable. The device is good quality, but the remote control is the weak point.

Don't try using your phone as a camera with this
Don't try using your phone as a camera with this, it will not work. I tried using a phone holder adapter from a tripod on this but soon realized that my camera lenses on my phone don't have proper placement for this prompter. You have to have a camera with a lens that goes down the center to use it effectively. Otherwise, the software was great and the hardware felt sturdy. I will have to return mine unfortunately since I don't own a DSLR camera.

Damage product and fail connection
⭐️ 1 Star Looked Great, but Had Screen Damage and Bluetooth Issues I really wanted to love this product because it looked just like the picture — sleek, professional, and well-built. It even had some good weight to it, which made it feel solid and high-quality. If you’re setting up something that needs to look professional, this is definitely the kind of product that gives that clean, polished setup. However, when I finally had a chance to use it (about a week after receiving it), I noticed a faint crack and scratch across the screen. At first, I couldn’t tell what was causing the faint line until I looked closer. The bigger issue was that it wouldn’t stay connected via Bluetooth. Every time I tried to pair it with my device, it would connect for a few seconds, then disconnect and flash “not connected.” I needed it for a podcast project, but unfortunately, it failed during setup. I returned the item to my local Whole Foods, and I made sure they looked inside the box and confirmed that everything was there. I even asked the young lady if she could see the slight scratch on the screen, and she said yes. I want to be completely honest — this review isn’t meant to discourage anyone or say I wouldn’t buy from this company again. The product itself looks amazing, has great potential, and clearly was designed with professionalism in mind. But in my case, between the faint scratch on the screen and the Bluetooth constantly disconnecting, it just didn’t work for my needs. As a traveling photographer and therapist, I rely on dependable equipment. I really needed it for my podcast so I could see my guests on screen during interviews, but since it didn’t stay connected, I ended up reaching out to my local film school, and they were kind enough to lend me theirs. Hopefully, this honest review helps someone else check their screen and connection right away after purchase — because outside of those issues, it’s truly a great-looking and well-made piece of equipment.

Travel Friendly & Good Value
I produce a lot of educational videos that need to have relatively precise scripts. I have used this teleprompter so much over the last year that I've had it sooo I can definitely give this a fair review. I didn't end up using the app that is suggested because the Teleprompter app has way more features, so I used that. I couldn't get the remote to pair up nicely but I don't care. I just tap the screen and make the adjustment easily with the app I'm using and it's not a pain for me. The glass quality is not poor like another reviewer mentioned. Maybe it's because I am not shooting LOG typically (I don't need to for the short-form education videos I'm creating). I shoot 4k 30fps H265 (SDR). However! Any reviews mentioning how it doesn't grip your tablet firming are correct, haha... I don't mind since I'm shooting indoors and not being aggressive with my phone (yes I use a phone), but it could easily slide over. That said, I do use my iPhone 15 Pro Max and it works great with the teleprompter app I use. A tablet being larger might topple more easily than a phone anyway. Overall: - Great value - Easy to use with any device - Comes with a nice case that keeps it compact (I've even traveled and packed this into a suitcase and it was protected in its case and foam) - Glass good quality - Can use with a larger phone (like iPhone 15 Pro Max) easily - Remote was useless, so was their app: use alternative teleprompter app instead

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FIVE STARS — “This Teleprompter Turned Me Into a One-Take Queen”
Let me start by saying this: I NEVER thought I’d buy a real teleprompter. Like… what am I, a professional?? I truly believed teleprompters were these huge, bulky, complicated beasts that would make my already chaotic studio life EVEN harder. But then the NEEWER X12B showed up and basically said, “Relax, I’m here to make your life easier.” And it DID. This thing is the perfect size — not too big, not too small, doesn’t overcrowd your setup, doesn’t fight your lights or cables. I have cords, tripods, mics, mixers, softboxes, gadgets — EVERYTHING — and this teleprompter fits right into my chaos like it was born there. And yes, it’s 13 inches tall, made from aluminum alloy, and somehow still manages to feel sturdy AND lightweight even though it weighs 5.81 pounds. Like… how you sturdy AND portable at the same time?? Pick a struggle! The soft-shell case it comes in? A whole mood. Structured, protective, and actually practical — which matters because I travel constantly and build makeshift podcast studios everywhere I go. I’m always packing lights, cords, mics, mixers… the whole mobile circus. The portability on this is chef’s kiss. But when I’m staying in one place? Oh, it lives right on the tripod like it pays rent. When it’s time to film, I literally just unfold it, slide my iPad in, attach my phone or camera, grab the remote and— lights, TELEPROMPTER, action. Now let’s talk functionality because BABYYY… it’s giving Broadcast Studio Energy. ✓ Wide compatibility: smartphones + tablets up to 9.84” × 8.68” (25cm × 22cm) ✓ Multiple 1/4” & 3/8” tripod thread holes for perfect balancing ✓ Adjustable width (18–22cm) & height (7cm) to keep any lens perfectly centered ✓ Zero-reflection glass that stays crisp even under bright lights ✓ Remote control that works smoothly from 10 feet away ✓ Ranked #2 in Teleprompters — and yeah, it deserves it And listen… The day I hit record, looked into the glass, and saw my script perfectly reflected like a little shining gift from the content-creation gods?? I instantly became a better speaker. The beam-splitter glass is SO clean it’s like reading subtitles on a window that just got Windexed by an Olympic champion. I’m talking CRISP crisp. My delivery went from “uhhh wait where was I?” to “Good evening viewers, let’s begin.” I used to think a “real” teleprompter would make everything harder — bigger, bulkier, too much setup. Nope. It made my entire workflow SO much easier. Way easier than using those phone scrolling apps where my phone is too far away to control anything. This teleprompter didn’t just upgrade my setup — it upgraded ME. Five stars. Zero hesitation. A teleprompter I didn’t think I needed… but now I refuse to film without it!

Flawless
When I opened the box, I was surprised by how minimal the contents were. Inside, there was only the main casing that mounts onto a tripod with the camera, and a small Bluetooth remote that connects to a smartphone or tablet. That’s it—nothing else. I paid ₹10,500 for this in January 2026, and considering what’s included, the price does feel inflated. That said, I understand the reasoning. This is a niche product meant mainly for creators who need to read scripts on camera, so demand is limited and the company likely prices it higher to stay profitable. Still, the contents don’t look like something that should cost over ₹10,000. One more thing worth mentioning: when I received the Amazon package, the outermost seal was already broken, suggesting possible tampering. This was concerning at first. However, after opening the box, everything inside appeared untouched and unused. I’m not sure why the outer seal was open, and while it raises suspicion, there were no signs that the product itself had been disturbed. The build quality is outstanding. The finish is flawless, the metal construction feels solid and reliable, and there is genuinely nothing to complain about in terms of quality. From a craftsmanship standpoint, the product is excellent. Buy without hesitation.

The best middleweight teleprompter I've ever used.
Neewer does it again!! I love this thing. I use it to shoot shorts all the time and it is the perfect mid point between the cheapy things designed for mobile phones and the crazy expensive ones for broadcast. Does everything it claims and does it well. Easily accommodates my Lenovo tablet - IN PORTRAIT!! So it works really well for giving yourself a narrow width to minimise eye-scanning movements and plenty of height to see what's coming. It's really easy to set up once you get your head around it, and the carry case is great. It's a little on the cheap side being just fabric and foam, but it's sturdy enough to throw in the boot (trunk) and take on a job. The remote is also pretty decent, if a little basic. But it works and connects easily. The software is also pretty good if not amazing. I do really appreciate the cloud file management though. Just upload the doc on your writing device and it'll be available on your teleprompter device. Be nice if we could just link to Google Docs and avoid the cloud entirely, but it's perfectly good enough.
